This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

It's not too bad at all @smartmove especially after your super low day on Sunday. Hope you're managing a good day today.
Maybe maintaining is just constantly stressing about the same few pounds always wanting to be a little less. Constantly having conversations with yourself about food and what you shouldn't be having. Exhausting!!
Going ok here. No exercise today as exhausted from yesterday. Should get 15K steps and fast until 6pm.

Agree it is exhausting isn’t it. I can see the appeal with those weight loss injections cutting out all the food noise! It takes up so much energy thinking and planning and trying to be good then going off track and feeling guilty and round and round!

10:10:8 today. No exercise yesterday but a walk today.

Been super busy so not eaten much today. Need to try not to binge later if I get too hungry before dinner.

I honestly don’t understand how other people just maintain their weight without all the prepping and planning. My DH is one of those
he put on 3 pounds on holiday (I put on 7!) and he’s lost them without trying?! Just being mindful of not drinking and not eating too kuch

no wonder he’s skinny!!!!

Ah I know. I was at a hotel recently with a friend. We were in the changing room of the spa and she just noticed some scales and stood on them to check her weight. She had jeans on and had no emotion tied to the number she saw. It was just data to her. I was amazed in that people have that relationship with the scale.

My DH is the same as your @Smartmove so frustrating. He doesn't understand me at all when it comes to food, especially when I make him hide things.

Yes @hollyblueivy the way they talk about getting rid of the food noise with the weight loss injections is amazing. But I honestly don't know what id spend the day thinking about if it wasn't food!

Well done on getting to 10.10 @hollyblueivy that's great. Hope you managed to not go crazy this evening.

Good day here. Might weigh tomorrow or might wait until Thursday. See how bloated I feel!

@Bubbles44 do u think we just have mega food noise??? Coz DH doesn’t even know his weight and wouldn’t have bothered getting on scales but I wanted to know wot he gained!

I wonder if it’s all a lifetime of dieting and being consumed by weight and calories has meant I’ve NO idea how to just BE and not over think or under think and just eat intuitively??? If I do I just gain weight coz I want all the cake !!!!!

one thing which I’m really pleased with is how I’ve made excercise part of my life now. I’ll just have to keep trying to fight that constant food noise

@hollyblueivy how r u feeling after ur mums news? How is she. Amazing ur even thinking about food and goals with everything going on.

im not sure about weighing either. Yest was a heavy day . Today been light and so ten thousand steps. Tmrw is a 30 mins pelaton and 1200 cals I hope.

Yes definitely think it's a life time of trying to be good, good food, bad food. Being comforted with food. I don't think I'll ever not think this way. I'm glad I've found something that works, although hasn't cleared my thoughts!

9.11 today. Run done and fast until 4. Will go to the gym later too.

Yes hope it's been an ok week @hollyblueivy must be a total rollercoaster of emotions, hope the treatment is starting for her soon.

Short eating window but feel like I've eaten a lot. Probably 300 cals of chocolate seemed to have creeped into my days too. Although happy I am able to stop at that and not go crazy! Off to the gym now.

Was 9.10 last Thursday. Really don't think I'll make it tomorrow!

10:10:6 today. Think I’m going to try for a pound off by next week so 10:9:5 if the goal. I haven’t ran or been to the gym yet, I’m just not ready and need to be patient with myself. I’ve had a few walks though and they have helped.

We are waiting for the dates for chemo for my mum and I’m hoping that will be confirmed soon. A lot of the waiting for appointments and information has been the worst of it so far.

Really hope you get dates soon @hollyblueivy so frustrating waiting but sounds like you're being incredibly strong at such a tough time. You dread these moments in life, but sounds like you are fighting it together!

That's great @Smartmove hope you get that 9.10 tomorrow. Is it this weekend you have your girls weekend?

9.10 today. Hope if I can have a good weekend I can get to 9.9 by next Friday. Although again today I had half a twirl. Hopefully by having a bit of chocolate daily it will mean i won't gorge on holiday??!!!!

I have a big 40th tmrw so everything out of window and enjoying the posh dinner and fizz planned! (It’s not my bday and a close friends!)

I had a mini magnum and some rice with dinner
so ending on 1500 8000 steps and a work out
dont think I’ll make 9.10 tmrw but hoping next week as yes next weekend I’m away and will be hard!!!

Same again today 9.10. Next week is my last week in work for 2 weeks. Not an awful lot I can do in the week to tighten up as I'm ok with the odd bit of choc and happy it's not leading to a binge. So this weekend needs to be relatively good so I'm not spending the week making up for it. Would love 9.9 next Friday!

so half more off and I’m def in maintence. I’m still very flabby though! I do weights 3 times a week but honestly nothing is shifting my tummy. I don’t think I need to loose more pounds - bmi 21.9 (just below 22!) so it’s fine but need some serious tightening! I look fine in my clothes and they all fit but still not in a bikini or costume !

Ah glad you had a good time out @SmartmoveYouve been well behaved since getting back from your holiday so deserve to let your hair down!

Haven’t had many healthy choices on Friday or Saturday and had a fair few drinks too. Will try to rein it in tomorrow otherwise I could easily maintain this week.

Hello, hope you've enjoyed a nice weekend and had nice treats.
I had a bit of an accident on Friday, so have been a bit shaken up. Fine now but I haven't really been as strict as obviously need sugar for shock!!!
Today has been good so far. Hopefully I can pull things back for holiday! Run done. Ideally need to see 9.9 on Friday or a week Wednesday at the latest. But after this weekend feel I've lost a bit of motivation! Hopefully if I stand on scale tomorrow I'll have it again!

9.11 today. No run today as needed sleep. Will go to the gym this evening.
Debating to not weigh until Friday but not sure as in such a habit of the daily weighing!

You’re doing great @Bubbles44in your lead up to holiday, it’s so easy to click into holiday mode early but you’re powering on.

10:11:00 today. I would like to see 10:9:00 by Friday. As I am not exercising at the moment the only way I can get those 2lb off of through my diet. I’ll try to keep the water uptake going this week. No breakfast, light lunch and light dinner. Focus on protein with plenty of veg or salad. Easy on the carbs where possible but I can’t cut them completely.

Ive been saying it every week but maybe I’ll start with baby steps and just try for one workout per week to ease myself in and not get overwhelmed. Currently scheduled for tomorrow but not sure if gym or run yet.

@hollyblueivy u have also been fab keeping under that 11 mark. Maybe just try baby steps with the gym it’s hard to get into habit and ur head must be all over the place arm

so after my awful 2 days I’ve prob done about 1500 cals on Sunday and Monday which is prob roughly maintence. I worked out Sunday but today just did 80000 steps no work out so prob some weekend bloat left . Af also came

i should weigh tmrw totally expecting a gain :(

will plan meals tonight!

9.11 again today. Although I'm fine after Friday, feel a little delicate so my head isn't totally in the holiday mode to get 2 pounds off. Although good week so far, just not as motivated as i should be!

Hope it's a good day and you manage 900 cals @Smartmove. I think low days then high days work well for metabolism. how long are you away for?

@hollyblueivy did you manage some movement? Hope you are doing ok and taking it easy!
