This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

I'm so sorry to hear that @hollyblueivy what a sad and stressful time for you all. I'm sure you'll do an amazing job of supporting her through this hard time. Make sure to look after yourself too. Hope the doctors are looking after her well and have a good plan for her. Sending lots of love xx

Thank both for your kind wishes. Treatment is a surgery sandwich with chemo. She is nearby so I can get to her or she can stay here as and when needed.

You may notice choc and wine consumption goes up from time to time. In moderation of course.

Hoping to get out for a walk later and blow away the cobwebs. I need to get back to the gym as I think that’s part of looking after myself. Maybe over the weekend.

Ah @hollyblueivy so glad she’s close by. Sorry you are going through this. Don’t put too much pressure on atm. Ur weight loss goals will still be there when ur ready to face them

Yes so sorry you're going through this. But great that she is local so you can be together. Glad they have a good plan in place to fight this. Please take care of yourself too. Yes wine and chocolate and the odd walk will definitely be needed!

10:10:8 today - I’ll take that.

Aiming for 10:10:00 next week. Gentle baby steps but hopefully still making progress and something to focus on.

No time for exercise today but weather is good this weekend so may head out for a super slow jog / walk tomorrow morning.

im 9.11 so did it. Am moving to weekly weigh now I can already feel the self sabotage voice inside me start!!! It’s going to be sunny so I’m going to want a rose this weekend!

How are you both approaching for the weekend? Trying to be good or planning a treat?

9.10 again today. Run and gym done. I always find Friday nights hard! But we have a birthday tomorrow so think I'll stay good today and will have cake tomorrow and enjoy it!

Ok day here. Very active but a longer eating window. Definitely more calories than usual. Extra dark choc, extra Greek yogurt and extra nuts and some sourdough and butter. No rubbish though. Stopped now. Will probably be up tomorrow.
Yes will enjoy tomorrow and work hard Sunday to shift the bloat. Just hope there isn't lots of cake lingering around after tomorrow!

I love cake! Definitely my weakness!!!

I’ve had 1 glass since being back! I have a big bday of a friends next weekend and will be drinking then :) and then weekend after a wedding so more drink. So I’m really glad I’ve not had much last 3 weeks

i am popping in cals for 1 large glass tmrw though! Coming in at 1700 tmrw but will do a hardcore pelaton session and back to 1200 on Sunday

I think 1500-1600 is my maintence tbh. Which is actually not much!!!!

am on about 2000 today! Feeling full and wish I hadn’t . Had a nice afternoon in the sun but really didn’t need to eat so much

managed a good workout
going to try for 1000 the next few days

Yes too much food here too. Feel horrible. Was 9.10 this morning might weigh in the morning out of interest to see what the gain is. Think I had well over 2000 cals! Did manage nearly 20,000 steps!
Back on it tomorrow. Big run and low cals!

Ate a lot yesterday at dinner. Today had a few alcoholic drinks and lunch out, as well as a McFlurry and frappe. Also didn’t get any exercise.

That will be a big gain by tomorrow after two days a bit off track.

Need to draw a line and pull it back starting tomorrow to be 11:10 by next Friday. I do feel like it is out of my system and I also feel a bit bloated and horrible which isn’t nice, so a day of healthy and nutritious food is in order!

Intention is to get out for the jog / walk I have been intending to do for absolutely ages. I know that I will struggle as fitness will have dropped but that I’ll also feel so much better for it once done.

9.13! 3 pounds on overnight! Hopefully most gone by tomorrow. Be interesting to see how long it takes. Holiday in just over 2 weeks!!

I’m on track for a 900 cal day which I haven’t done in forever
gym and steps done too
actually going to have no choc today! I’ve been having 200 cals every day due to left over Easter eggs. We still have some but it’s too hot for choc!

So mixed day here, long run,big walk, fasted until 2.30 but feel like I've eaten quite a bit, slice of cake, some crisps etc I reckon I'll be the same weight tomorrow. Quiet week ahead, so I'll hopefully drop by Friday to 9.10.

I think I am going to get to 9.10 and then maintain. I’m feeling ok atm and think I just need to focus on more muscle and toning.

aim to be 9.11 still on Friday but to be 9.10 by next weekend (then away for a friends bday and will be eating and drinking!)

no I weirdly wasn’t hungry - was the heat I think? And maybe all the cals I had yest! I ate high protein low carb which helps too

hope u enjoyed the cake. The week starts tmrw and its always easier then!

Sounds a good plan @Smartmove. Well done for yesterday I'm sure you'll be back down to 9.11 now.

I think my aim is mainly to stay in the 9's over summer. Would love to get to 9.9 before holiday and then see!

Didn't weigh today as felt so bloated and gross from sugar. Good day planned, run done. Will go to the gym this evening and fast until 4.

Agree your plan sounds good and sensible @SmartmoveYou are pretty much there now too so very very close to maintenance and I think you’ve got quite a good idea of what you need to do to maintain and how much you can get away with.

@Bubbles44Probably a good idea not to weigh as it’s a bit of a false reading after a bad day. Well done on your run and gym later - how do you find getting two workouts in one day? Do you make sure you fuel well enough to have the energy?

Right, new day, new week, new motivation. I’ve gone about a month now without regular exercise and going from around three times per week, it feel like ages and long overdue. I’m ready to get back into movement.

10:12:6 today and want 10:10 by Friday - Kind of don’t quite believe I can do it but need to put the effort in and see what happens

Good day here. Managed the gym. Really didn't want to go but did. Enjoyed it in the end, pretty tiring but the way the days work out I have to do runs and gym on same day. Hope to get back to 9.10 on Friday. Not sure I will though.

Hey girls bad day today! Well not awful but had 6 chocs! And also ate some garlic bread with dinner. I didn’t do a workout but I hadn’t planned to
Ended on about 1800 which is over maintence I think

I find it hard to know my maintenance cals as we eat out or I go out once a week and then I have to guess so wildly I’ve no idea what I end up on. Anyways it looks like an average on 1300-1400 sees me loose and I think 1600 is prob maintence but I really need to try a week of doing that and seeing what happens.

anyways tmrw I'm going to skip brekkie and do 1000 cals day. Will have steps but no workout. I’ll be up from 9.11 if I don’t spend t-Thursday mega focussed !

I have a big night out this weekend and I’ll be eating and drinking and then prob craving carbs the next day. This is not ideal for the last pound!!!!
