This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Wow bubbles ur on a roll!!!! What’s changed? Ur mindset and weighing ur nuts?! Well done :) how r u feeling in ur body now?

I’ve had a good day will end on 1400,
all good food home made nutritious and feeling better! May weigh tmrw to just reassure me its mainly water weight and will drop!!! Would ideally like 2 off for tmrw

also did my workout 🏋️‍♀️

tmrw will be the same and another workout planned

Bit of a blip. Had some cake and some chocolate wasn't even nice but it's like I needed the comfort. But didn't go crazy as I would have done in the past. Probably 500 cals over normal. Which is ok I guess.

I don't know @Smartmove I think spring coming helps. Enjoying my running more and feel like I have more energy. Hope it continues. Need to keep
Disciplined but hard isn't it. Well done on a great day. Hopefully you'll drop fast.
I probably won't weight tomorrow but will on Sunday.

Not a blip @Bubbles44 normal to have a bit now and then. Issue if when u have 1000 cals extra or more and do that every single day .

phew. 5 more to go! Will weigh again on Monday I think aim to have no Easter choc except a small 200 cal amount on Monday with the kids :) have a lot in the house but luckily not tempted as eaten so much whilst away!
also of course no drink! Arms hurting from yest workout which is a great feeling! Haha. Today planning a legs session and ten thousand steps. Would love to be at 10 stone by Monday so that’s one a day to loose till then. And then back to 9.12 where I left end of next week as I know it will take a bit longer to get those 2 off

Great @Smartmove great to see the scale moving! Sounds a good plan and like you're in the right mindset after a great holiday!

I weighed this morning as intrigued. 9.11 which is fine. Spurred me on for a good day today. Going to try and fast until later on. Will be hard as have plans but think I can avoid eating. Run done. Probably won't get many more steps today. But run and gym tomorrow!

tjats annoyed me. Maybe some doms as my arms and legs r killing so some water hold on? Or maybe too many carbs? Or maybe I should know weight loss doesn’t happen every day! But anyways 1200 day today planned workout again and walk

Yesterday was mixed for me. Didn't weigh today but been for a run and to the gym. Will fast until 5 and planned healthy food! Really struggle without routine. Just need to know I can do it and not give in!

home made chicken curry

1200 cals 8000 steps and about to go to the basement for my weights (my home made and small gym!) and do 20 mins lower body and 10 mins core

it’s ok @Bubbles44 think that’s normal. I do better on work days too. This is life bank holidays and Easter will happen u r doing fab!

going to weigh tmrw and hope it’s dropped!

Good day here. Long fast and low cals and lots of exercise.

I will make roast tomorrow so
more carbs than usual but I am really going to try and avoid nibbling on chocolate as I know one bit will lead to far too much! Will be a big challenge.

10.1.6 today so 1.4 down.
so I’ve lost 3.5 since Thursday post holiday. Had hoped it to be quicker than that! Anyways fingers crossed I’m 10 in a couple days time

not sure about eating plans today as have family over but I don’t know what time yet!

That's great. Especially as bank holiday weekend! Enjoy your day today. Are you back in routine from Tuesday?

9.12 today. Would love to maintain around that for the next week. Away tomorrow until Friday. Self catering so I have planned everything. Will run and fast. Will have the odd treat I guess but really want to limit it and feel ok next weekend!

Yes back to routine Tuesday
I’ve been feeling quite motivated post holiday and have that post Xmas - I want salad and never want to drink feeling! So that helps. Sadly lasts about 2 weeks before I start wanting sugar! For now let’s hope it at least gets me back to 9.12

Yes too much chocolate here too. Actually have (almost) zero guilt as it's Easter and I was silly to fool myself to think I'd resist. I definitely set myself up to fail! But, run and walk done. Too much chocolate but a healthy week ahead.
Hope you both had a good day. New day tomorrow. I probably won't weigh now until next Saturday. Although part of me is tempted to take scales with me. Just some basic ones so I can see how I'm doing. Have you ever done that?

i always thought it was slightly over the top and obsessive for me so talked myself off that cliff!

Wagamama lunch -chose the cauliflower rice bowl
150 cals of choc - enjoyed this guilt free
workout and 6000 steps
cod and broccoli later

not weighed. Think next time be Wednesday and really hope I’m at 10 or a bit below. Impatient to get back to 9.12 which was pre holiday weight!

Hello hello I am here! Hope you all had a lovely Easter, I certainly did but also glad it has been and gone!

I think it’s important to be able to have and enjoy treats from time to time, almost healthy in a way.

The key is being able to quickly draw a line once it’s all over and I think that’s what we’re all doing now. Even with @Bubbles44 being away, it sounds like you’ve still planned your meals and movement. Plan in some treats too though. You are on holiday after all!

I think I’ve forgotten what the gym looks like so will reacquaint myself there today. A light session is likely but just to get myself back in there. I’ve mostly been walking over the last week so still a bit of movement. I always think I’ll lose the small amount of strength I’ve built up if I go too long without going to the gym.

10:12:8 today. Actually pleased with that given what I’ve eaten and little bit I’ve drunk too. Still in the 10’s feels good.

I only have a loose plan for this week and weekend. Easing myself back into it and will go properly from Monday next week.

im 10.0.4 - so close enough to 10. I have 2.4 more to shift before I get back to my lowest pre holiday I think that will take a bit longer sadly as this other 5 came off in a week…

im going to aim for next Friday to be 9.12 giving me ten days.

no movement from me today but I did 12000 steps yest. Will weigh again next Monday I think

an ok day not fab but fine
1450 which is prob 100 under maintence and pretty sedentary.

hopefully lower tmrw. May weigh on Friday to check its at 10. Fingers crossed

Didnt eat much yesterday as was so busy and no time for gym or steps.

Tired today so going to have (yet) another rest day and hope that my food choices are good.

Hello, well done for staying in the 10's over Easter @hollyblueivy that's a massive win. Sounds like nice treats but in moderation.

Well done for getting back to it so well @Smartmove hopefully you'll be down to pre holiday weight next week.

All going good here. One I had some chocolate as was so tired from bad sleep. But ran every day, lots of walking and good food. Definitely had more calories but nothing too bad just feel hungrier around people eating.
