This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

10 this morning. Would like to break 9.13 this week. We'll see how it goes. Didn't manage run. Tired from time change. Lots of steps today. Fast until 4.

You sound in the zone so I’m sure you’ll be able to get that pound off. I also feel tired today maybe that’s due to the time change too.

yes I am straight back on it today. Eating light for both lunch and dinner, avoiding snacks and trying to keep water intake on a reasonable level.

I've had a terrible weekend food wise. Friday, Saturday and Sunday I overate. I'm so cross with myself. Back on the fast day today and drinking lots of water. I dont know why I do it.

@InfracatI can relate, I have been in the same cycle for so many years. I think it’s good to save treats for the weekend but I need to know when it’s too much that it will affect my weight for all of the following week, when I then do the same thing again the next weekend!

Any hints, tips or podcast recommendations welcome!

Me too. Terrible all weekend. No idea why. It’s meant to be if we over restrict we then overeat when off. Esg has podcasts on it. My aim post holiday is to get back to 9.12 and then just eat normally at 1700 cals every day which is my maintenance .

good day today at least. Need to do this till I leave to reduce bloat. 1200 cals low carb. No workout

same tmrw but with an hour workout

The cycle is hard. I guess the fact we try keeps us from totally losing control.

I’ve been hungry today and eaten a few slices of bread. Lunch was soup, dinner was chilli with rocket leaves. Would have been an ok day if not for the bread. Still feel bloated. Probably from weekend still.

not looking forward to weighing in the morning but will still weigh to see how much I need to pull it back.

im ok had a good day yest. Hoping for similar today and end on 1200 again. I’m doing my workout soon and going to make it an hour and make it hard work.

not weighing till I leave on Thursday and what will be will be! Suspect I’ll be 9.13 and not back to 9.12 but I’ll deal it with on return !!!!

@Bubbles44It’s hard to keep the momentum going of feeling motivated isn’t it. I felt so on it last week and then the weekend came and it hasn’t felt the same this week. Got to just make the most of it when those good waves come.

@SmartmoveHope you manage another low day and get the weight you’d like to see tomorrow.

I was 11:1:2 yesterday so ate light and had to weight this morning to see it back in 10’s and was 10:13:2, so overall not too bad for a Wednesday.

I know I’m like a broken record but the weekends is where I need to put in the hard work. Maybe I should just calorie count on a weekend. I don’t know.

@Bubbles44 i moved it to 9.12 once i got to 10. I think post holiday im going to try get to 9.10 as i just think i would feel better then. Most my clothes fit and i feel good in them. But I still feel not at all beach ready!!’ So think a few more pounds I would feel more confident

@hollyblueivy weekends r though. What do u have planned this weekend maybe we can give u a hand! It’s easier to be boring and do nothing I find but it’s not very fun / able to do long term. I often used to plan social things on the sat so I could be good on the Friday at least! And I’ve gotten out of eat whatever I want in day if going out - can u just enjoy ur dinner or drinks and that be ur treat? Least ur back in the tens!!!! That was ur first goal.

9.13 again. Not sure how long my body will stick at this weight. Good day, lots of steps and good food. So tired though. Body clock not sorted itself out since Sunday!

I’m off now. Will log in occasionally . Going to enjoy my trip except a gain but hoping it’s not massive and mainly water ! I’m gone 2 weeks!! Wish me luck - have chosen my workout days and going to be sensible at brekfast and lunch but enjoy my dinner and 2 drinks and have a few non drink days! But in general I’m going to enjoy!

Well done @Smartmovethat’s a great place to be. Enjoy your couple of weeks off. We all work hard so we deserve to take a break from time to time.

I was supposed to stop weighing so frequently but I seem to have got in the habit and can’t stop myself at the moment.

10:12:3 - I was 10:12:6 last Thursday and Friday so today is my lowest in ages by a slim margin. I’ll keep going!

Also mad to think I’m about a stone heavier than you two. I definitely want to lose more, but feel ok where I am if that makes sense. Would love to see what my body looks and feels like a stone lighter so I can work out if it’s worth the effort!

I don’t think it matters what we weigh it’s all very personal and def my last few pounds are all vanity related!!! If u feel good and ur eating healthily then stay where u r

maybe under 11 is where u feel good? See how the week goes

it is very hard work and I’ve been wondering if I care enough to go below 9.12 but I think I just want some more wriggle room so I don’t go over ten and I feel very close to it!

9.12 for me today. Chuffed with that. I know what you mean regarding goals. I would like to just be in the 9's so after a holiday be where I am now not over 10 so would need to aim for 9.9 but that's quite hard to get to.

Anyways let's enjoy where we are now!

9.11 today! Lightest I've been since October. Looking back I've really struggled to stay in the 9's since October. Not much going on this weekend, but longer eating windows are usually my struggle.

How's your weekend looking @hollyblueivy ?

Ah that’s great news @Bubbles44 - You were hovering around the same weight for a while but remaining consistent and it seems you’ve had the whoosh!

I also haven’t had the best weigh ins from October. I wonder if my Christmas period started in November for a couple of months and that’s why it’s taken a few months to get it off. I don’t know, but it definitely seems like we’ve turned a corner just in time for spring!

10:12:6 today. Same as last week so hopefully settled into the 10’s now. I’m going to go for a good week although feel like I could fail on any day, and say I’d like 1.5lb off by next Friday which would be 10:11. Let’s give it a go at least.

I ate quite a carby day yesterday so thought I’d see more of a gain today, but managed about 2.5L water yesterday so hopefully that helped.

That's great @hollyblueivy hope it's a good weekend. Yes I definitely think spring is helping mindset. I found January/February so hard!

We don't break up until next Friday. So a clear week and then the Easter holidays to contend with and a few nights away!

Hope the sicky feeling has gone away this morning. You’ll be ready for a good day today.

10:12:6 today. Same as yesterday which probably reflects the reasonable day I had yesterday, but carby again.

I’ve already had some breakfast, just fruit and yogurt. I wasn’t particularly hungry but I didn’t want to be super hungry at lunch and potentially over eat. I don’t have any lunch or dinner planned today so not quite sure what kind of day im In for.

Weather is lovely so will try to get a walk or run in today.
