This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

This is food today. Very much estimating calories as best I can. Hoping to stop now but possibly another coffee and a banana. Try not to though.

4x Coffees with coconut milk and sugar (240)
Chunky beef soup (170)
2x pint squash
Chicken, mushroom, tomato, rocket and sauce (guess 500?)
Total - 910

well done on avoiding the cake!!!

explains why I’ve struggled a bit last few days to dodge the sugar. Felt like it’s been hard work and haven’t managed 1200 cals
hiping tmrw! Usually the day after I start I feel much more stronger!

Feel a little frustrated at myself. Will probably be up tomorrow now because of the sugar. Good thing is it didn't cause me to binge. I had the chocolate and that was that. Just feel frustrated that I can't stay comfortably in the 9's. That's my goal before Easter maybe!

Next target will be 10:9 to work towards, then 10:6 and I think 10:3 will be my final target with wriggle room of 3lb either side.

im not in a rush to get to the 10:9 with socials, school holidays etc, just relishing that brand new shiny stone bracket for the minute! I’ll keep this momentum going if I can, but Mother’s Day weekend is on the horizon.

@Bubbles44Did you join a gym in the end?

9.13 today. So one more to get off to get me back to my lowest. I should it for Mother’s Day. Then pop some water weight on. Then back to 9.12 for holiday .
no workout today but hopefully 1200 cals

I have found one I just need to join. A bit nervous as not been to the gym since the kids. The class times don't work so need to use the actual weights. So might have a pt session. Out of my comfort zone. Once I've been a few times it'll be fine im sure!

Sometimes they will give you an induction and create a programme for you when you join, so you can say what your goals are and it can be tailored to that.

Id say 500 cals so far, 3 coffees, 1 pint squash and a 3 egg omelette with cottage cheese, tomato and rocket.

9.13 same as last week! Need to work hard this weekend to be on track so I'm not spending the whole week getting back into the 9's.

That’s a good weigh in @SmartmoveNot in the 10’s and only a pound away from where you want to be before holiday. Hopefully enough to keep you on track this weekend. Do you have much on?

11:12:6 today. Nearly 2.5lb off since last Friday. The first decent weight loss I’ve seen in a week for months. I have eaten quite light this week though, although not felt super hungry. It makes me worry that one bad meal and it will all go back on again though! There will be a meal out this weekend and a separate trip out for drinks. May stop weighing now until Tuesday as I know it will go up over the weekend and I don’t want it to affect my mood.

@hollyblueivy i didn’t weight today but I was 9.13 yest so same as @Bubbles44 will weigh on Sunday now. Ow I’ll self sabotage! Nothing on till Mother’s Day lunch so it’s perfect. Will eat very light today

I was 9.13 again today. Long run done. Already had breakfast so it's going to be a long day with not much planned. Lots of tea and water!

Ok day, 4 Lindt balls and a few more nuts than usual but nothing crazy but definitely more calories than usual. Cup of tea and I'll close for the day! Really going to try for a strict day tomorrow although there will be obstacles!!

Only plus is 17k steps.

Aside from that, few drinks, bread, cheese. It was wanted and enjoyed so trying not to feel guilty.

Hey girls
ive fallen off the cliff and gone into holiday mode
eating chocolate/ Easter eggs and even fish and chips!!!!! I fly on Thursday wtf am I doing! I was doing well :/
today we r out too!!!

any advice for Monday / Tuesday / wed I could just get rid of my bloat but I keep being good all day and then not having the strength and stuffing myself when temptation passes…

might put everything in a bag and ask DH to hide it?!

Aw sorry it's hard @Smartmove I think sometimes the stress and pressure of a holiday put us into panic mode and pushes us to eat. Try not to stress. Enjoy your meal today. Don't worry about weighing before holiday just eat clean and healthy for the next few days so you feel good. Sounds like a really special holiday. Enjoy as much as possible. You've worked so hard the last few months. Don't let a few bad days make you feel rubbish!

Yes thanks @Bubbles44 it is! We r really excited :) it’s the longest we been away with the 2 kids (12 nights) I just thought I would feel a bit more beach confident this time!!!! But now my tummy will be all flabby!!!! Anyways I’ve planned my next 3 days for very low carb I can get rid of the bloat at least !

Mainly good day here. Slice of cake, few slices of cheese and small piece of sourdough was over what i planned. All in all im happy with the weekend. Will probably be up tomorrow as carbs and sugar!

Ive had two meals and a few drinks today. I am feeling bloated and slightly uncomfortable. I know I have overdone it this weekend. I need to have a good few strict days to rein it in. I don’t want that to be the habit though so I seriously need to work in striking a better balance.

No exercise today. The weather is going to be lovely next week so will get some movement in every day, from a walk, run and the gym.
