Third Time Lucky - Fast to goal

@Bubbles44
@Smartmove
@Everythingaches

This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

I just had a single boiled egg last night so not too bad.

PROJECT GET BACK IN THE 10'S
Starts today and will continue into the weekend and next week as necessary until I'm back in the 10 stone bracket!!!! Enough messing around.

Today weight - 11:4:1
Aim - Anything with a 10 at the start

Plan of action:
Weigh every single day until I see a 10
Check in here for accountability
Only one milky coffee per day with the rest black and no sugar
At least three pints squash per day
At least half an hour exercise every day - even if just a walk
No breakfast
Soup or equally light lunch - no bread and no cheese
Dinner - mountain of veg or salad with protein source and teeny tiny bit of carb if needed
Avoid snacks as far as possible but if I'm literally wasting away (not much chance of that!) then an apple or banana only

I think that should work as a broad plan.

Just got to stick to it now.

Yes same here @Smartmove really up for it! Going to try for a really good 2 weeks. See what I can do in that time. Really need to focus on sleep too. As tiredness makes me want sugar!

Smartmove · 24/02/2025 08:14

All sounds like we trying to buckle down before Easter comes! Let’s have a good week :)
im going to go for 1400 this week as had about 2000 over weekend so balances to 1650 which I think is my maintence cals
once ive worked that out I need to stop tracking so much! But I don’t know how to stop!!!! Don’t trust myself!

Smartmove · 24/02/2025 18:10

Good day
1400 cals and low carbs. If I do this all week end at 1650 which will mean I’m at maintence and I hope that’s reflected on scales
good hit workout but only 20 mins
high protein and best of all no sugar
and im full!!!
fasting started 530

hollyblueivy · 24/02/2025 18:20

The day has gone to plan and also feeling full. Not had my coffee with milk yet so will have that shortly and that will be the day done. ✔️

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 24/02/2025 18:21

Really good day here too. I'm cutting out nuts this week as I think I'm eating too many without realising. Big aim
Is to get through weekend without going crazy. Need to plan and stick to it!!

Smartmove · 24/02/2025 18:33

Wow well done us 3!
wonder where everyone else went! Just us 3 die hard ever on here!!!

another day tmrw. No time for workout as have toddler at home but will walk to park and school so be 10000 steps hopefully

Bubbles44 · 25/02/2025 07:29

Yes well done, let's hope it continues all week into the weekend! Feeling good again today. Motivated. Run done, Will fast until 6 and I've small portions of food tonight. Although I don't count calories, really trying to reduce as I think they are creeping up!

hollyblueivy · 25/02/2025 08:18

Well done ladies, so far so good.

11:3:2 today.

Black coffee no sugar on the go.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 25/02/2025 14:10

Good day so far. Am a bit more hungry though but will have my apple shortly to get to me to 5pm when I’m having salmon and veg.
then will be shut at 1300

tmrw work out planned and another good day
no sugar today !

Smartmove · 25/02/2025 17:55

1360 as had a small bit dark choc
Should make 7000 steps today which is ok for me ! No workout

tmrw workout and similar day of cals.

Bubbles44 · 25/02/2025 20:42

Yes all good here too. Definitely hungrier though. But in the office all week which will help me not stray off plan!

hollyblueivy · 25/02/2025 21:35

Food and drink good today.

Failed on the exercise.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 25/02/2025 21:42

We all hungrier prob after a good day yest and that’s expected. Let’s keep pushing through girls!

@hollyblueivy dont worry sounds like u did a great workout on Sunday. can u do tmrw?

@Bubbles44 i think cutting out the nuts will be a huge diff for u. I mean they are super healthy but ur prob having 2-300 cals if u have 2 handfuls which could u tip i from maintence to weight loss. So either calorie them out or temp reduce or stop them! I weigh mine out at 20g which is a handful

I ended on the 1370 sipping my blueberry herbal tea and did 8000 steps in end

lets keep this momentum going . I’ve no idea how to do this my whole life! I’m hoping once I find what cals to maintain my weight I can slow take back the Calorie counting down a notch! But not ready yet! As I tend to be able to roughly eyeball things anyway and I eat same things on a rotation every few weeks!

Bubbles44 · 26/02/2025 07:07

Yes definitely. And I know better, but when you're hungry they are so satisfying. But this week I'm measuring out my seeds before I go to work. So when I get home I'm not doing it when starving! Hopefully make a difference. Trying to figure out weighing as want to get back into it. Might do Saturday or maybe Sunday and do
It more regularly then!

Hope you both have a good day and enjoy your workouts if you can fit them in!

hollyblueivy · 26/02/2025 07:26

Yes also felt hungrier but not given in to it and not had to snack yet. Been saving the milky coffee for later in the day and it's been so satisfying and good to look forward to. If I have one earlier on I may be tempted to then have another.

I did workout on Monday so only missed yesterday and will get to workout today.

11:2:1 today so I'd say that's the weekend bloated gone. Need to keep this up.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 26/02/2025 08:15

Done my workout but struggled fasted but can’t eat so early either so was a half ass attempt but better than none! I don’t get nay steps on a wed as in office all day so it’s better I moved. Imperfect action as esg says!

planning a 1350 day of
avacado toast
minestrone home made soup
chicken and veg
Babybel and apple for fruit

have a good girl don’t give in girls!

Bubbles44 · 26/02/2025 18:16

Good day! Not too hungry but busy so not thought too much about it!

Hope it's been a good day for you both! Getting nervous about weekend but it's totally in my control! I can do it!

hollyblueivy · 26/02/2025 18:47

Good day here too, although I haven't had dinner yet. Good workout. Needed a snack earlier to keep me going so have had a banana and some gherkins as well as lunch.

Going to get dinner on now, think it will just be garlic chicken with some mixed taco beans.

Pleased to have done a good three days.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 26/02/2025 19:27

Hey girls

today was mixed but overall win!

1- I didn’t fancy my workout and then kinda lost energy during it. But I did it completed it though wasn’t amazing. Proud of myself for thsf

2- I planned 1300 cals but ended on 1500. That’s not bad at all but given my weekend cals actually I needed to be quite low in the week to make up for it. Those 200 cals were choc due to below

3- had a very busy and stressful day, I very easily old me would have just stuffed my face with sugar when I got hungry and told myself I’ll not do that tmrw / one day doesn’t matter / and then felt major guilt. I didn’t do that. Instead I had a chat with myself had some water ate my planned dinner and then had the 200 cals of dark chocolate.

so even though my work out was half assed! And my cals were a bit over . I handled a difficult situation totally differently. I have no feelings of guilt and though it would have been better to not have the choc on balance I think it’s a win as it’s not 2000 cals as I would have spiralled

tnrw is a new day and will attempt 1300 as planned.

weigh on sat or Sunday unsure.

hollyblueivy · 27/02/2025 07:30

@Smartmove That's a great mindset and approach to your day. I often feel like I can't be bothered with a workout but force myself to go and once I'm warmed up, I get into it.

11:2:1 today. Same as yesterday and still need another 2-2.5lb off to get into the 10's.

That means my usual approach to weekends is cancelled. No take away. No meal out. No drinks with friends.

My aim is to continue as I have been this week and hopefully reap the rewards next week. A little later than the end of February (which was supposed to be the end of January) but fingers crossed I will be there soon!

I need to remember this sense of frustration over the weekend when I am feeling tempted by treats.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 27/02/2025 18:08

That's great @Smartmove that's a better achievement than weight loss, just being sensible and not pressing the f it button when things go off plan- well done . Hope I can get there!

@hollyblueivy great work this week. I'm going to join you in a weekend of being totally on plan. I think if I can, hopefully I can be back in the 9's asap. Hopefully you'll be in the 10's by the end of next week.
Feeling in a good place. No plans this weekend other the kids activities so going to keep busy!

Good day today! Cant believe it's Friday already tomorrow!

Smartmove · 27/02/2025 19:20

After yest

ive had a bad day!!! Suspect af due tmrw. Not going to dwell on it. Try not to continue to press f it button but I’ve had half a bar of chocolate, noodles for dinner and some processo at hair dresser!

hollyblueivy · 27/02/2025 19:35

That's doesn't sound too bad at all @Smartmove

What's your weekend looking like?

I can't believe I've done 4 whole days. I've done three 1 hour workouts and will try to get another in tomorrow. Will just be light though as my body is aching.

I had a banana as a snack earlier and just had my dinner. My milky coffee today was a caramel latte but aside from that it's been a good day.

I'm actually quite nervous about my willpower over the weekend. But I will try.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 27/02/2025 20:07

Ah don't worry @Smartmove you're in maintenance mode. I'm sure you can pull it back by the weigh in. Tomorrow is a new day!

Yes I'm nervous too @hollyblueivy but I'm
trusting myself to do it. After the next couple of weekends I'm quite busy so need to try and drop! Can't believe I'm still working on losing the Christmas weight!!
