This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

I keep eating!!! Long fasts but then too much food. This last week has made me realise how much my running keeps me on track mentally! I've planned long walks and runs with friends next week when hopefully all of the snow and ice has gone! Aiming to weigh next Friday!

Good u have been able to reflect and see what works @Bubbles44 .

I’ve had 3 large meals today but managed to keep calories lower. I think not snacking and eating tasty satisfying meals is way fwd for me. I spent years eating rabbit food and then being hungry and bingeing. Today I ate all 3 meals (after a 17 hour fast overnight) which were decent and included fruit after. I was super full and satisfied. I think moving fwds apart from 3ish I have to never snack and just wait till main meals it’s usually an hour before I feel peckish. But it’s ok to feel hungry nothing bad will happen to me!!!! I don’t need to eat but a coffee or some water should tide me over till my next meal.

tempted to weigh tmrw but will wait till sat. Feeling like sts or a tiny weeny loss

Agreed @Bubbles44 I think the fitness and diet goes together.

It's fallen apart a bit for me this evening. Got too hungry and ate stuff I shouldn't have to keep me going until dinner.

I'll weigh tomorrow and I also want to take my measurements soon too and check on that every month or so.

Yes feel like I've been in survival mode this week with the weather. Every day waiting to see if school is open. Too icy for running and even walking. So glad it's Friday. Dread to think what I weigh. But feeling on it now. Away this weekend. There is a chance I will eat sugar but will try not. Will weigh this time next week!

Our school shut today! Luckily I’m not working but now means I have both of them and I def won’t gym.
didn’t weigh but will tmrw. Af arrived very early explains why I’ve been starving this week!!!!
aiming for 1200 today and then week average 1450 so should have a mini loss really.

had toast and almond butter
lunch undecided
dinner - chicken stir fry

I was freezing this morning so dressed before weigh then couldn't be bothered to undress again so will weigh in the morning.

Absent minded I had coffee and toast this morning. Should have just had the coffee or some fruit but I find my discipline fades as the week goes on. The black coffee only lasted a few days too! I think I really need to capitalise on the early part of the week when I'm full of fresh week motivation.

Gym will happen today.

Good day! Not sure what tomorrow will bring. Will hopefully be healthy but not sure on the food situation yet.
Hoping to do first run in over a week Sunday evening. Although still thick ice and snow so hope it has melted by then.
Hope it's a good weigh in tomorrow for you both!

11:5:2 I think that's about 2 off roughly. The last couple of days haven't been the best.

Morning
am 9.13 Whoopy. So aim next week to be 9.12 and then 9.11 ideally before I stop. Gives me 3 lbs wriggle room if I gain over trips away celebrations etc.

today I’m out tonight so will be excess calories . But I’ll gym harder.
tmrw back on plan . Will do a mini weigh in at wed to check ive lost weekend bloat at least.
will stay on plan rest of today at least. Just had my yoghurt planning chicken stir fry left over for dinner

@hollyblueivy ive been at this such a long time! It’s about time!!! Only 0.8 off and was this pre Xmas ….
just done a good workout. Am exhausted. Having a snack and some water to get me till dinner at 730
gonna feel bloated tmrw as curry and wine tonight but won’t have more than 1/2 glasses so tmrw im straight back on it!
would love to be 9.12 next Friday!

back on plan today. Will weigh next Sunday as no plans over next weekend so can have a good stint of trying to get another pound or 2 off.

Had a three course meal out yesterday and one drink.

Had a big breakfast at home and barely moved from the sofa. Just having a day of rest and will go again tomorrow.

Hello, well done on the weigh in yesterday @Smartmove that's great!
Not the best weekend. I've had some sugar. Not ran and feeling pretty rubbish.
Snow slowly going so hopeful of a run tomorrow. Lots of movement this week which will get my head into this. Too scared to weigh. Will do it Friday or maybe Saturday.

I love weekends as off work but they are such a pain when trying to lose weight and a part of me is always pleased to see Monday morning come back around.

Pleased I managed to only have one pint. Steps were great on Saturday but almost nothing yesterday.

I will try to sprinkle a few black coffees in amongst the milky ones this week. Water with meals. Hard to just drink it during the day in this cold weather.

Workouts likely to be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Will try to keep away from the scales this week as they are not making me feel good. Intend to weigh on Friday.

ugh I ate utter crap yest. No idea why! Had pizza choc then more pizza then more choc and then some fish fingers????? Absolute nonsense. I felt awful by end of day so why didn’t I do it? I don’t even mind if I had pizza - can’t live on salad and soup every day! But there was no need for the huge amounts of choc eaten. I thinl I was a bit hungover from Sat night despite only 2 drinks and was just starving. I also didn’t do my workout!!!

ok so today I’m back on it. I would love another pound or two off. From Feb I enter maintence,
no brekkie
tuna bean salad
thai chicken curry
3 milky coffees

work out!!!!
should be 1000 cals.

no gym!!!!! Feeling very guilty I didn’t do yest or today. I’m cold and lazy.

No run, Ice was so bad. Ice gone now so will be running in the morning! Did a long fast, 21K steps, good food and will do weights when kids are in bed!

Needs to be a good week!

@Everythingaches it's hard isn't it. We magically think that we'll hit January and it will be easy to get back on it. But definitely not! Hope you find your way. Maybe just try not be too restrictive and build up!

Managed 2 runs this week. Feeling lots better. Food good too. Need to keep it up.

@Everythingaches I am with you! It hasn't clicked back in immediately for me and when I do make an effort, I am not seeing the results fast enough!

We just have to keep going. That's what I'm trying to do anyway. If I don't it very quickly goes in the other direction.

No gym yesterday and busy day so snacking through the day rather than a set meal and chicken dinner.

Hoping for soup lunch and workout today with light dinner. Feel hungry already though so need to lean towards an egg or fruit for snacks if I can't wait until lunch.
