I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Not the best day. No sugar but feel like I’ve eaten too much food. I blame hormones. Annoyed! Don’t want to get complacent. Not weighing hopefully until Wednesday. Need a good run of days. Should be able to fast until 3ish tomorrow.

Smartmove · 16/06/2024 07:06

Couldn’t help myself 10.3.5 :)
will not sabatage and get this last 0.5 off in next 6 days

Bubbles44 · 16/06/2024 07:49

That’s amazing @Smartmove ! Well done! Keep going, so close!

hollyblueivy · 16/06/2024 08:11

@Smartmove That's a great result! Hopefully that will spur you on and keep you going for the next 6 days. You must have been so happy to see that on the scales! How would you say your body is at pretty much your goal weight, is it what you expected?

I dare not step on them given I was off plan yesterday although my body feels ok, not bloated etc. but I know if I step on the scales and it's an increase I'll then feel heavier if that makes sense?!

My exercise yesterday was just a walk. I may go for a walk a bit later on but that's as strenuous as it will get today and will mostly be a restful day.

Will try to get back into counting calories today. It's a bit of a pain as I haven't paid for the full access to Nutracheck so have to kind of do it manually.

Has everyone else paid for Nutracheck or how do you go about tracking your calories?

OP posts:
Smartmove · 16/06/2024 09:37

@hollyblueivy yes I’ve paid. I used to use fitness pall which is free but there are so many wrong values in there. But it’s a great free one and one I used for years

weirdly I was telling my husband - obv my clothes fit . I looked slimmer everyone is telling me . But I still feel like I have a way to go before I look “slim”. My husband says I’m curvy which he loves and he doesn’t want me to be straight down no curves (his preference) but I think secretly in my head I prob want size b boobs and to be size 10. But I have size dd boobs and am size 12. I have one of those waists which goes in and then go out at hips which I hate but people say is lovely?! Isn’t it weird how u see yourself? But overall I feel comfortable and am happy 😃 but being critical I suppose. I would say in a dress I’m pleased when I look in mirror but in tight jeans I feel like my thighs and hips are too big!

I think I’ll try maintain at 10.3 over summer as I have a lot of celebrations in July including a week all inclusive (where I’ll gain) then maybe Sept to Xmas try get to 10 stone ??? But when do u stop!

@Bubbles44 do you find you keep dropping your goal lower!

Bubbles44 · 16/06/2024 12:02

Sounds like you’re in a great place @Smartmove and feeling confident. Great that you’re getting so many compliments. Makes it all worth it, especially from DH.
Yes I definitely keep wanting to go lower. It’s hard to feel happy when so much focus is on those numbers. I never thought I’d get into the 9’s so I think mid 9’s is probably ideal. Saying that, feel like I’m having a bad weekend. Feel so frustrated. Wanted a long fast but had breakfast at 11.30. Just hungry! Just hope I don’t go crazy today now. I’d definitely be higher than 9.9 if I weighed now!
What are you hoping for when you weigh in on Saturday @hollyblueivy ?

Serialcatmum · 16/06/2024 12:05

oh so pleased for you @Smartmove !!! Well done. It’s hard to feel happy with the results when we look in the mirror isn’t it. I was at my smallest on my wedding day (still overweight!!) but when I look back I actually looked sickly after a mental health wobble! That was 2.5 stone lighter than I am now.

@hollyblueivy I pay yearly for nutracheck. Think it’s like £25 and hasn’t gone up in a fair few years. Well worth it.

Yesterday was a total shit show. I was particularly hungry after low calories for a lot of weeks and a 48hr fast 10 days ago and then I couldn’t find the food i wanted whilst away. I ended up eating 2900 calories and had a little cry before bed. My husband is very understanding and went through what I’d eaten and reminded me I had TRIED to look for better options and that they weren’t available etc and the foods I ate were really not filling but high calories. I had a burger jn a stadium (with no chips or anything!) and it was 1100cals.. but I was still really hungry after only having a sandwich at lunch.

I know it’s too much details and you guys are probs rolling your eyes but I just needed to get it off my chest. The urge to have very low calories tonight to “make up for it”
it quite intense but I also feel I need to move on and get back into the swing of things so im not too hungry going into my Mon- Thurs 800 cal sprint!

hollyblueivy · 16/06/2024 14:05

@Serialcatmum Vent on here as much as you like! I agree with your husband, it's difficult anytime away from home to remain fully in control. It does sound like you're being quite hard on yourself and would say go easy, it is done now. What you said at the end about whether or not to try to pull it back, I would say don't try to over restrict to compensate as you may end up in a cycle. I think it's better to just draw a line, move on and go again, tomorrow is a new day.

Not every day will be perfect, I listened to an ESG podcast that says something like it's about making your bad days less bad. So when you say you had the burger, it was less bad as you don't have the chips too, if that makes sense?!

Anyway hope you're feeling a bit better now.

Smartmove · 16/06/2024 16:11

Ahhhh @Serialcatmum I’ve had days like that at home! When I have healthy options. It’s hard to fight that mental craze u just keep eating - plus it sounds like you u had no other options. Don’t panic don’t over compensate. Just forget it. Move on. Def don’t cry over it and get back on track.
we all have those days. Hugs xxxx

@hollyblueivy yes I really love ESG I credit her for some of the small mental changes I’ve made which means this time I’ve kept loosing weight rather than throw the towel in like my other 10000 attempts!

@Bubbles44 luckily DH is always loved my figure but he can def a change and is of no help when I ask him when I should say I’ve reached my goal!

Smartmove · 16/06/2024 17:26

I’m ending on 1450 father day treats and dinner! Did a short work out. It’s very hard at weekend to stick to 900 ! I think maintaining at the weekend is the best I can do!
ill be back on 900 tmrw.

Bubbles44 · 16/06/2024 18:19

Well I’ve had a shocker of a weekend. No socials, just greed and self sabotage I guess. I think also related to my cycle. Trying not to beat myself up. Ive done 2 long runs and should have 4 long fasts now to keep me on the straight and narrow 🤞. Got a few stressful things going on at home which is not helping.

Sorry you’re having a tough time @Serialcatmum it’s rubbish isn’t it. I seem to have a blow out every couple of weeks. Probably as sometimes I’m so restrictive. Would you up your cals in the week so you don’t feel as deprived? It’s so hard to get the perfect balance. Hope you’re ok though.
@Smartmove that’s so lovely. Sounds so supportive. My DH is great too. Never mentions it really. Although he does think I’m slightly crazy when I ask him to hide the chocolate from me.

As sad as I always am when the weekends are over the routine of the week sorts me out diet wise!

Smartmove · 16/06/2024 18:42

I def used to have more frequent binges when I over restricted. Now I eat more cals in meat/veg if hungry and don’t sweat it as for me it means less of a crazy eatathon every few days. I def still struggle with it but it’s prob once a fortnight not every week …hopefully will continue to be less and less

DH is super supportive but thinks I’m mad too when I ask him to hide the choc - then I find it and tell him he’s rubbish at hiding and to rehide them 😂

hollyblueivy · 17/06/2024 06:33

This weekend has been a fail. Had takeaway yesterday and think I drank too much on Saturday. Feel bloated and puffy like I'm on a two day hangover and suspect if I weigh I'd be in the 11's.

I'm not going to weigh but I'm ready for water and nutritious foods this week for sure.

I had wanted to see 10:10:00 on the scale when I weigh on Saturday, been chasing that for so long, but think I may have ruined my chances of that now.

Line drawn and ready to go again.

Smartmove · 17/06/2024 07:05

Bubbles44 · 17/06/2024 07:44

Run done. Going to try and do one every morning this week. Feel rubbish that i had such a rubbish weekend for no reason. Line under it. Will fast until 4.
Just hope I can be 9.9 still on Wednesday. Feel pretty bloated and full this morning!
Let’s all have a great week!

hollyblueivy · 17/06/2024 11:16

I might have to weigh tomorrow as all I can think about is what weight I am after the weekend and with how bloated I feel.

then do what feels right. But don’t beat yourself up about the number xx

Smartmove · 17/06/2024 16:40

I’ve been an idiot too! I’ve just devoured loads of sugar and prob ended on 2000 or more!!!! Wtf!!! There you go @Serialcatmum

i weighed didn’t like number so tried to skip meals which doesn’t work for me. Not to hungry and binged.

tmrw will just do 3 meals 950 cals and just keep doing that. I def won’t make my goal of 10.3!!!!

aghhhhhhhhhhh!!!

ok tmrw till say 950

and no bloddy weighing!

Bubbles44 · 17/06/2024 19:57

Sorry it’s been a hard day, rubbish feeling especially when you’ve been on a good roll. You’ll be back on it tomorrow. Sometimes you need a blip to get back on it.
Managed a good day here. Long fast and no sugar. Fast until 6pm tomorrow. Think I need to work a 7 day week!!!!
Hope weigh in goes ok tomorrow @hollyblueivy . Just remember a good run of days can change everything.
@Serialcatmum how are you feeling now? Hope lots better!

jelly79 · 17/06/2024 20:16

Argh someone help with a kick up the ass and how to be consistent! 3 weeks till holiday and motivation gone again.

Ran 12k yesterday, exercised today, all intentions of no carbs and no sugar ended, struggling to fast too.

I know that 3 weeks of doing the above right will make me feel great, I just can't stick to it!

Thanks for asking @Bubbles44 ! Better than I was. Still have that awful guilt feeling.

Going to try a 48hours fast again this week (I’m always leaving 2 weeks between which is why they must seem random!). I just felt so clear headed and in the zone last time.
been listening to the book: Fast Like a Girl and it’s really motivating!

I finished yesterday on 1200 and today in 870. Managed to get a 40 min work out both days too so I can’t really grumble.

well done in that long fast- how did you feel???

jelly79 · 17/06/2024 21:44

Wow these long fasts are brilliant!!!

Smartmove · 17/06/2024 22:24

@jelly79 no clue! I’ve just stuffed myself today! Not sure what I was doing

im a bit annoyed I got to 10.5 - 6 weeks ago!!! And I’ve hit 10.4 and 10.3.5 a few times but then bounce back up. I should have reached goal!!!! I want to throw my scales in the bin!!!!!

im going again tmrw. Hidden my scales. And I’ll be what I will be on sat.
