I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Weighed in this morning to try and scare myself into getting my head back into this! It worked! I hope. Going to have a good couple of days to try and come down as much as I can before Monday as away then until Thursday! I am out this afternoon but should be manageable! I don’t think I’ll ever not be all or nothing! So frustrating!

Smartmove · 20/10/2024 15:42

Been away this weekend
stayed away from sugar and went to gym but drank far too much

back on tmrw no messing!!!

hollyblueivy · 20/10/2024 20:26

Nothing really positive to report from this weekend but checking in anyway.

Morning how is everyone. I must admit I am enjoying eating and drinking as I please. I have enjoyed bread.

I have found that I have had that full feeling that hasn't really gone away and that is definitely a benefit of doing the periods of fasting to give your body a chance to digest and empty a bit. I'll look forward to that once back on track in a week or so time.

I might go for a run a little later just to get some moment and possibly some yoga / stretching as feeling a bit tight all over.

Hope you had a lovely weekend away @Smartmove

I can't remember if @Bubbles44 has been away too or if that is coming up.

Hi girls back on today
I’ve not weighed in a while but I can feel the bloat from all the wine at weekend. Frankly don’t care - lol! But I’m being good as I Wil care if it keeps increasing

today skipped brekkie
feta salad
chicken stir fry
no work out but did at weekend and legs still hurting.

decided to weigh every Friday only as the ups and down drive me mad now!

hollyblueivy · 22/10/2024 07:50

Why oh why did I step on the scales.... tipped over the 11 stone mark. Wish I hadn't weighed now!

Hopefully won't be too much more and I won't go near them again for the next week or so!

Good idea though @Smartmove think I'll do a Friday weigh only when I'm back.

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 22/10/2024 21:31

Just having a little wonder and thinking how normal or not it is how much my food and weight is on my mind. It takes up a lot of my thoughts and I don't know how people live their life without spending lots of time and energy thinking about it.

Not sure if this makes sense or if this has occurred to you before.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 22/10/2024 22:16

@hollyblueivy i think it’s called food noise. I have it too it’s really problematic annoying and tiring. I’m always planning next meal what to eat calorie counting feeling guilty feeling hungry.
I don’t know how u solve it? I have found putting scales away massively freeing but I’ve no idea if I gained over weekend and if I’ve lost my bloat - but I’m no longer in a bad mood every am!

good day today except some choc was consumed. Prob 1200 cals

Bubbles44 · 24/10/2024 07:20

Hello! Back home now! Too much rubbish eaten! Not really any healthy options so was totally off plan. Feel so sluggish. Done my run and I’m going to to have a really healthy week/weekend. Need to really up my water. Will weigh Saturday. Feel horrible, think I’ll be the highest I’ve been in years if i weighed today!
I’m totally with you both on the food noise. Literally every thing I’ve eaten over the last few days I’ve justified, planned the future so it’s ok I eat that today. It’s relentless isn’t it. I don’t think it will ever change though!
Hope you’re both having a good week?

Smartmove · 24/10/2024 17:43

I’ve been quite good all week. Had some choc most days but am pleased with that as not gone crazy

@Bubbles44 i feel like I need some therapy to stop the noise! It’s def less now with less weighing though but god knows wot scales will show

I’m not even sure if I’m back to 10.5 which is my upper maintence. Will weigh tmrw and feel nervous!

Smartmove · 25/10/2024 07:03

10.6 today. Fine with that. Aim to go for a pound off every week now. Only weigh Fridays

Bubbles44 · 25/10/2024 07:29

That great @Smartmove . Nearly maintenance. What’s your approach to the weekend?
I feel like I can’t let go of the scale. Scared I’ll spiral if I don’t have that to measure! I do like the idea of once a week.
Weighed today 10.1 better than expected.I had a good day yesterday, need to continue all weekend. Haven’t got much on so it will be ok. No sugar for 2 weeks too.
Hope your week is going well @hollyblueivy

Smartmove · 25/10/2024 07:57

I’ve not got any plans which is good! So it’s a quiet one. We will eat out as a family tmrw but it’s sushi so can be healthy and also I’ll only have 1 drink this weekend .
that’s not too bad after a trip away @Bubbles44 . I know it’s hard re the scales. I think I’m too good at self sabotage and I’ve upped my cals to 1200 which I’m finding easier to sustain so hoping I don’t go bannnas

hollyblueivy · 26/10/2024 07:31

You're both doing so well considering you've been away too.

Just today about the food noise I hadn't heard a term for it before but I definitely have it. I'll look at menus before we go out to eat, think about 2-3 meals head when I haven't event finished breakfast and it's rare for any period of time to pass without the thought of food. I probably need some therapy too!! But I honestly can't see myself ever changing.

I'm still off track not really even getting hungry as not much gap between meals. It's fine as I know I'm having some time off the diet, but I will enjoy (?) having some time fasting when back on it. Although I realise the hunger will feel worse as so used t mo eating. Not been near the scale.

Sounds like you’ll be ready to for a good run up to Christmas @hollyblueivy .You starting Monday?

9.13 today, happy to be back in the 9’s.
Good day today. Probably higher volume of food but all healthy and no sugar. Back to routine Monday. Looking forward to the longer fasts again!

hollyblueivy · 26/10/2024 21:34

Probably going to start Monday 4th, but spend the week from this Monday easing back into it.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 27/10/2024 09:35

Ended up having 2 drinks yest but kept meal small and no sugar. Am in so much pain from my gym session too as I did weights. Will gym later or tmrw. Loving this not weighing. Next on next Friday - 10.5 ideally.

Bubbles44 · 28/10/2024 07:18

I had a sensible weekend. No sugar since Wednesday. Want to keep that up. Quite a lot of food over the weekend but all healthy. Back to longer fasts this week.
Hope it’s a good week for everyone!

hollyblueivy · 28/10/2024 07:41

Aside from steps being high everything else is off.

Going to start thinking a bit more this week about what I'm consuming but not on it properly until til next Monday.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 28/10/2024 18:43

About 1000 today
milky coffees
pumpkin soup
bit a dark choc
chicken curry no rice

gonna try gym now but also quite fancy the TV!!!!

hollyblueivy · 29/10/2024 07:01

Sounds like you had a good day yesterday. Are you still aching from your weight session?

As the time gets closer for me to step on the scale, I'm starting to dread it!!

OP posts:
Smartmove · 29/10/2024 08:09

Yes they r a bit. I’ve started doing Caroline girwan ones - she really works u and my arms are so weak I can’t do some of her movements!

I did a HIT pelaton yest. An visiting family this weekend so won’t manage gym sadly - so my three a week this week will be
monday
wed
thursday

i usually find the week difficult but I am down one kid who is with grandparents so it’s much easier!

Smartmove · 29/10/2024 08:10

I wanted to weigh today but glad I didn’t. Also af is here so Friday will be a good time to weigh. I’m feeling hopeful to be 10.5 ….my weekend though far from perfect wasn’t my usual behaviour so hoping that helps push it down

Smartmove · 30/10/2024 08:57

Gym done. 20 min weights and 15 pelaton.
good day yest minus the pumpkin muffin I made with kids! No work out yest though

feeling less bloated hoping I’ve dropped that pound

Bubbles44 · 30/10/2024 16:54

Not the best couple of days! Back on it today! So hard at the moment!! Keep going!
