I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Oh @Bubbles44 im so sorry :(
lots of hugs and be kind to urself

X

Bubbles44 · 10/10/2024 07:24

Thank you!

Run done. I don’t mind the dark I think it’s more getting out of bed when it’s so dark! Will try and do 4 a week.

Hope it’s a good day for everyone.

hollyblueivy · 10/10/2024 07:36

I did a run at the gym yesterday. Actually quite enjoying the running at the moment and weights have taken a bit of a back seat. That's fine though it's good to have a workout that you actually want to do. (Not that I don't want to strength training but running is just my current preference.)

10:10:8 today. Same as yesterday but I actually thought I'd see a drop as I felt lighter/leaner.

Will probably go to the gym again today to get my 3rd workout in of the week. Or if it brightens up I'll run outside.

Food wise I don't think I can stomach another soup today so will have something different and dinner is chicken pasta. Not the best food to hope for a drop tomorrow but I'm being realistic and moving the 10:8:0 goal to next Friday.

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 11/10/2024 07:27

10:10:4 today. Just under a pound on from last Friday but a loss from after the weekend.

Plan is to get to 10:8:00 by next Friday. Need to put in some good work to get 2.5lb off in a week.

I'm going to need to keep a decent handle on this weekend. It won't be completely without treats but they will be well managed.

Soup lunches will feature heavily again next week.

Three good workouts at least.

Feeling determined, need that to last!

9.11 today, run done. Not had much of an appetite this week. See what happens over the weekend. Lots of running and walking is a definite!

Hope you get a good weigh in @hollyblueivy sounds like a great week and you deserve a drop! Have you got much on this weekend?
@Smartmove hope you’re going to enjoy your date night regardless of the scales!
@jelly79 hope your week went well!

Smartmove · 11/10/2024 16:25

@Bubbles44 excellenr weight but aware it’s due to a sad week. Be kind this weekend

Bubbles44 · 12/10/2024 08:53

Enjoy the celebrations @Smartmove sounds like a nice weekend planned.
@hollyblueivy hope you get to enjoy a few treats this weekend and a good plan for next week.
not sure how mine will go. Lots of active things planned. Going to strong this evening as I know lots of treats around. Not that hungry but if I have one I’ll probably want lots more!!

hollyblueivy · 12/10/2024 08:55

10:10:4

Good luck for the weekend everyone.

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 12/10/2024 20:24

I've fuxked it today.

I need to ban myself from weekends.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 13/10/2024 07:53

Yes bad day here yesterday too! Nearly 30K steps but a lot of sweet treats and snacks. Will hopefully be better today. I think I’m going to go into the weekends and know I can have what a want on a Saturday. Maybe that would help with mindset! Might enjoy it more then!

Hope it’s a better day today @hollyblueivy

hollyblueivy · 14/10/2024 07:28

Morning from a very wet and miserable Monday.

The good parts from the weekend was I averaged about 10k steps per day Fri/sat/sun and did two small workouts. That in no way counteracted what I consumed.

Two takeaways, wine and beer is probably the worst of it but there were snacks in between.

So there we go, weekend done, line drawn and onto the next week. What a predictable cycle!

Last full week this week before half term so I'd like to have a decent week. Lots of workouts as they make me feel better which should make me eat and drink better.

I'm chasing 10:8 - feel like it could be weeks until I get there but it's good to have something to aim for.

How were your weekends, what workouts do you have planned this week?

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 14/10/2024 10:40

10 today. This cycle is so annoying! But maybe it’s life and have to accept it! Lots of good fasts and more routine this week. Kids break up Friday and a few days away next week so i know it’ll go wrong.
Was 9.7 this time last year! Can’t imagine getting there again!!
Hope it’s a good week for us all!

Smartmove · 14/10/2024 13:48

Don’t even ask what I ate over weekend
wine cake and more cake featured
didnt even weigh myself as I feel so bloated and didn’t want to see the terrible news!!!
today
skipped brekkie
ham avacado salad
salmon and veg

hopefully loose the bloat before I go away on Friday. Aim 10.4 is going to be on the 25th Oct now. Really need my mojo back!

Bubbles44 · 14/10/2024 17:42

So hungry today! Just under a 2 hour window but eaten too much. Need to stop now. Nothing processed or anything. But too many nuts etc. don’t think I’ll get much of a loss tomorrow. No sugar which is the biggest positive!
Hope you’ve both had a good day. So hard after an indulgent weekend!!

Smartmove · 14/10/2024 22:23

I did well today. Wasn’t too hungry after all the rubbish I’ve eaten!

skipped brekkie and came in at 850 . would be great if can do same tmrw
im so bored of the scales so im not going on for a while
im away this weekend and am intent on not gaining lots to chase during the week . I’m going to gym and stay away from sugar all weekend (but have a drink).

but I’m feeling a bit meh about it all tbh. It’s so hard

need to excercise tmrw - 10000 steps 15 min HIT and 20 mins weights to be completed tmrw orrrr 30 mins weights only incase im tired after my walk and low cals!

hollyblueivy · 15/10/2024 06:56

I'm so with you @Smartmove and feel the same about the scales. Mine is that I usually cannot stop myself from getting on them, curiosity gets the better of me. But something has to change, so I think I will give it a go, maybe move them out the way so not as easy to access.

Keep going doing all the good things and weigh in a week or two, at least I won't hopefully have the highs and lows of the feelings that come with seeing the numbers on the scale.

Yesterday was ok apart from a small pudding. I think that was the fed up part of me giving up a little. That won't achieve anything though.

Plan today
Egg on toast lunch
Mid week roast dinner
Gym

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 16/10/2024 07:28

Had omelette and toast for lunch
Dinner was highish calorie and had some dark chocolate too but did get a workout in.

Might have soup for lunch today to keep it low calorie. Think I'll do a mid week roast for dinner. Need to not eat outside of those meals.

Water intake has been poor.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 16/10/2024 07:55

Good day yest 10000 steps and work out.
1200 cals and full
need to not weigh and just do this and trust it will come off.

another good day planned. Feeling bloated from weekend pretty sure I’m close to 10.9

hollyblueivy · 16/10/2024 19:35

I am not feeling motivated at the moment and a bit fed up so think I'm going to take the rest of this month off and start fresh on 1st November hopefully ready to have a decent push before Christmas.

I'll continue to workout but I'm going to go easy on the food / drink side of things. If I gain, I gain, that's where my head is at and really how much damage can I do in a couple of weeks. (That's not me setting a challenge for myself!)

OP posts:
Smartmove · 16/10/2024 20:16

@hollyblueivy good luck. It’s really rubbish isn’t it! And so hard
u have done a fab job at maintaining all year and we have to rem how much we have lost! R u staying on thread I’ll miss ur updates!

also fed up! But counting to attempt to loose! Had 950 cals today. No steps but hurt from yest

hollyblueivy · 16/10/2024 21:47

Yes I'll still check in on here, probably more related to steps and exercise rather than food.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 17/10/2024 07:00

Hello! Feeling very demotivated here too! A bit stop, start! Constantly thinking about chocolate! Going to try and be good until Monday. Then I’m away for a few days so will so will enjoy that and a good push in November like you @hollyblueivy. Will definitely join you in that.
Hope you guys are ok. Sometimes feels so hard the constant trying so hard and feel like you’re failing.
Will weigh tomorrow to see where I’m at!

hollyblueivy · 17/10/2024 07:32

It is interesting how the motivation seems to go in cycles, sometimes lasting longer than others. I know they say you have to rely on discipline rather than motivation, but that's hard too!

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 18/10/2024 07:40

Morning, happy Friday.

I ran a few miles yesterday and did 20 mins of weights at home. Took me forever to get out but felt so much better for it once done.

Had cereal breakfast yesterday and some toast this morning. Strange having breakfast but fancied it. Honestly googled if the full moon makes you more hungry!

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 18/10/2024 11:35

Im hoping I can blame the full moon for my behaviour?! Honestly, just don’t care at the moment. Just so hungry and enjoying food. I’m hoping a switch back into my healthy ways asap! Been a hectic few weeks, glad it’s half term. Need a break from routine. Hope I can reset on the lead up to Christmas!
Well done on the running @hollyblueivy hope you enjoyed! Hope you enjoy a more relaxed approach to the weekend without all the pressure!
