I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

@Bubbles44 hope ur day went well?
I managed 1000 and 150000 steps so hoping for a drop tmrw. If only every day was like this!

tmrw is day off but Sunday must get straight back on!

jelly79 · 20/09/2024 23:11

@hollyblueivy hey!!! I agree the difference is so much more diet than exercise! I feel like I can do the exercise part not the diet (consistently)

Worked out every day this week but also eaten biscuits 😣

Big walk today :)
Porridge and fruit
Pizza for tea
Haven't gone overboard but need more protein tomorrow for sure.

jelly79 · 20/09/2024 23:11

10s13.5 this morning
Need to stay under this time

Smartmove · 21/09/2024 07:16

10.5 today
pleased with that as back in range
day off today - pizza! But back on tmrw and 10.4 for next Friday as I’m away for the night next week

well done @jelly79

hollyblueivy · 21/09/2024 11:52

@jelly79 Bet it feels good to get back into the 10's - I've crept into the 11's a few times and that is usually enough to get me back on track.

@Smartmove Well done for getting back down to 10:5 - that's is within your maintenance range isn't it?

10:8:1 today - I don't have any major plans this weekend and will only have one or two drinks if any.

One week left of September, where has it gone. Then October and November will be the months I intend to put in the most effort this year as feel like I have maintained through most of it but I do really want to see if a can get a bit more off before Christmas.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 22/09/2024 07:18

@hollyblueivy yes upper limit of range. But would rather be at lower most of time - never happy haha! I do want to get closer to 10 if I’m honest

yest I dread to think of calories consumed there was icecream and pizza and cocktails consumed. Workout was done though!

totally back on it today. Can’t be messing about ow won’t make 10.4 next Friday

Bubbles44 · 22/09/2024 07:32

Hello, 9.13 today! Had a good couple of days after Thursday night.want to see 9.12 asap. Need to be really strict to see that!!

Sounds like everyone is in a good place. Great you got back in maintenance @Smartmove and hope the experiment works.
@hollyblueivy sounds like a great weekend. Like the sound of a really good October and November before the madness of December! @jelly79 biscuits were my downfall this week. So nice and comforting sometimes. Haven’t bought any this week, I can not moderate!!

hollyblueivy · 22/09/2024 08:07

10:9:7 - 1.5lb on from yesterday. I had a relatively big lunch and a medium but not particularly healthy dinner so it's on me. No alcohol though and overall not bad for a weekend.

Will try to stay on track today.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 22/09/2024 17:42

Ended up messing about!!! But not as bad as could have been but had
porridge
salmon sandwich
chicken curry with cauliflower rice
(too many carbs but cals not too bad)

But the some chocolate and sticky toffee pudding. No work out. Oops. Just planned next 4 days to be 1000 cals . Suspect will end up 10.5 again for Friday not 10.4 as not been very good today.

hollyblueivy · 22/09/2024 19:14

I haven't been the best today

Half a bagel
Two peanut butter crumpets
Couple of biscuits
Couple of lattes
Curry with rice and naan

Chance of banana and custard before the day is done

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 23/09/2024 06:56

9.13 happy with that for a Monday. Weather looks bad this week but hopefully I’ll fit some runs in. Fast until 4!

hollyblueivy · 23/09/2024 07:24

That's fab for a Monday, hopefully the only way is down this week.

10:9:9 today. I know I was lighter towards the end of last week but compared to last Monday it's still 1.5lb off so happy with that.

I think it's stage to say I won't be running outside this week. If I can get three workouts in splitting time between weights and cardio, that will be a win for me.

My goal is to try the slowest weight loss of half a pound per week. Think I have Friday as my formal weigh day so I'll aim for 10:9:5 by this Friday.

No plans this week so should be able to manage the gym but more importantly I need to keep the food on track.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 23/09/2024 07:26

Morning girls
wow I’ve managed a whole 4 pounds gain this weekend! I blame the salty carby pizza!!!!
so back on very strictly today. I go away Friday don’t think I’ll make 10.4 !!!

@Bubbles44 this must be the week u drop!!!!

Smartmove · 23/09/2024 18:20

Not gone to plan at all!!!
always hard after a weekend of sugar I find
tmrw I go again with a workout too!

jelly79 · 24/09/2024 05:55

@Bubbles44 that's fantastic well done!!!

I have been training loads and feel better but the scales aren't moving.

I need to track my calories though because I'm eating balanced meals and then sugary treats! It's like I can't stop my self

Yesterday
HIIT at 6am and walk at 10am
11am eggs, mushroom and tomato
1pm cinnamon bagel and 3 biscuits
3pm banana and 2 biscuits
6pm chorizo and vegetable pasta
8pm 3 squares of yorkie

I can see what I'm doing when I am writing it down! Need more food earlier in but it's like I awaken the beast 🤪

Bubbles44 · 24/09/2024 07:00

@jelly79 do you do your HIIT at home Orr the gym?

9.12 today at last! Lowest I’ve been since the beginning of August I think!
Starting to stress about running now. It was pitch black today. Like you guys have said it doesn’t make a massive amount of difference to weight just makes you feel better doesn’t it! Need to fit it in somewhere!

Hope it’s a good day for everyone.

jelly79 · 24/09/2024 07:21

I do them online with some friends and a PT at home! 4 mornings a week for 4.5 years and tomorrow is the last one! I have a gym membership too so I need to make more of that, it's just fitting in getting out the house, this has always worked as my DS7 is still sleeping when I work out in the kitchen!

But I need a change and it's part of my routine so I'll find a way :)

I like road running so much more than a treadmill but I can push myself faster on the treadmill so that will be my alternative in the darker mornings x

hollyblueivy · 24/09/2024 07:23

@Bubbles44 Yay so pleased for you. Well done, you've had a good amount of consistency to get there which clearly is the key but the thing I find the hardest!

@jelly79 Good bit of reflection there. At least you have an awareness of what is going on, so you know what to work on. Well done for doing your workout so early, what's your secret to getting it done?

10:11:2 for me today - 3lb on since Saturday!!
I had soup and two toast for lunch and then pasta bake for dinner which I had seconds of but didn't really need it, just being greedy. One square dark chocolate. Carbs do not agree with me!

Now I need 1.5lb off by Friday to get my 10:9:5 goal.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 24/09/2024 10:47

@Bubbles44 yay!!! I did a happy dance for u when I saw ur update. I think u just proved to loose when you have little to loose u really have to be ON IT every single day and be consistent. Well done!

@hollyblueivy it will be water from the carbs. Eat light today and u should make that!

@jelly79 im also eatin too much sugar. Well in the weekends though yest I boredom are icecream and toast. I find it hard after a weekend eating whatever I want. Well done on all the excercise

been good so far and intend on having a very low cal day today to make up for the weekend. Didn’t weigh today but I was 10.9 on Monday. I know I won’t make 10.4 this Friday but if I’m back to 10.5 and then aim is 10.4 for Friday 4th. I want to be 10.3 for Oct 12th as I have a night out and have my eyes on a dress which is a bit tight.

so 10.3 for Oct 12!
would love to be 10 come Xmas but let’s not get ahead of ourselves lol!

Smartmove · 24/09/2024 11:51

Ps am trying to get over my 5 a day and really look at my fibre content
It’s quite hard u need huge amounts of salad for even ur one a day!

hollyblueivy · 24/09/2024 12:35

Hope you feel comfortable enough to wear the dress in a few weeks.

Keep us updated with the fibre intake and if you find anything really healthy, tasty, low cals etc that fits the bill so I can copy!

OP posts:
Smartmove · 24/09/2024 12:55

@hollyblueivy its mainly just fruit and veg tbh! I’m trying to get over 20g of fibre and 5 of my day….i eat a lot of avacado which is pretty good for fibre . Flax seeds too..I pop them on my yoghurt and in my Puriton shake.

Smartmove · 24/09/2024 15:31

About to close at 4pm on 950 cals
6000 steps and a 30 min leg workout . Will weigh tmrw .

Bubbles44 · 24/09/2024 19:15

Thanks! Although I was just looking and I was 9.11 after my all inclusive in June! No idea how I managed that!
@jelly79 that sounds a fun class. I really want to join the gym, but no idea when I’d manage to go! Sounds like you’re doing so well with your exercise!
@Smartmove well done for having a good day. Hard after the weekend sugar! I’m sure a few low days and you’ll drop a bit for your night away!
@hollyblueivy hope your day went well. Yes sounds like weight will all be water I’m sure. By Friday im sure you’ll be down a couple of pounds.
I eat 2 kiwis with the skin on most days. Apparently full of fibre and they are so cheap!

hollyblueivy · 25/09/2024 07:22

10:11:00 - I am annoyed I want to be lower.

Might do a long fast tomorrow if things aren't moving.
