I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Hey @jelly79! Summer is so hard isn’t it. No routine and holidays! Hope it was fun. What did you get down to before and what is your goal?
@Smartmove I’ve had the worst day too. Literally all the sugar! I think I knew it was coming. Will weigh again Monday. Should have a good couple of days! I think if you can do a week without sugar, it then becomes easier as you stop craving it. Obviously not easy. Can start to feel restrictive. Although I think my long term plan is to give it up. Just not sure how to go about it!

Serialcatmum · 14/09/2024 09:39

Morning all!

Just a normal week for me. I’m trying to up to 1000 on the 4 days (my hair has got very thin) but struggling a bit with guilt/ anxiety. I think that’s why I’ve got a bit quieter.. anyway. I did a 48hour fast that finished after a sponsored 10km walk last night and I had 700 cals before bed.

i think that an over gain of 3 over the holidays is amazing @Smartmove !! Think I needed up with between 11-8!!! I won’t weight myself again for a bit as I don’t want to be too obsessive about it (which does happen to me).

welcome @jelly79! man the summers are super hard! Hope it feels good to be back in control xx

Smartmove · 14/09/2024 09:50

@hollyblueivy where r u! Hope u r ok!

jelly79 · 14/09/2024 20:18

Fuming I weighed today at 11.1 but I feel better than a few weeks ago so didn't expect that! I got to 11.3 but my lowest this year was 10.5 so that's my goal

Mini goal is 10.9

Eaten well and moved lots so far this weekend

But also had some dessert

jelly79 · 14/09/2024 20:19

@Serialcatmum 48 hour fast is brilliant. How did you feel? I have been spurred on to fast from tomorrow evening to Tuesday by your post x

Bubbles44 · 14/09/2024 21:16

Ah well @jelly79 sometimes it can motivate you more when it’s higher than expected, as rubbish as it is! What fasting times do you usually do?
I had a great day, avoided cake when I was out, good fast, run and lots of steps. Then this evening after closing window kids wanted hot chocolate when watching film so I had one too. And some biscuits and toast! Time of the month so blaming that!!! Run in the morning and will try harder tomorrow!

jelly79 · 15/09/2024 07:35

Hey @Bubbles44 I have done some 24/36 fasts but haven't really done much past 18/ 20 of late!

Got a run and a circuit class this morning so will eat from lunch then fast from this evening!!

Bubbles44 · 15/09/2024 18:22

Not the best weekend!!! Ran both days and lots of steps but bad food! Today has been ok, just not great Friday and Saturday. As much as I don’t want to, I will weigh in the morning and see the damage. I’m going to be sugar free all week and next weekend!

Smartmove · 15/09/2024 18:42

@Bubbles44 i hear u! Me too! I worked out but I didn’t weigh and ate badly yest and day before
ive been good today though 1400 cals
had
sausage and pepper grilled (random but what was in fridge)
tuna and veg sticks
fajita chicken no wrap
some dark choc almonds and a scoop of low cal Oppo icecream

plan tmrw is to NOT TOUCH sugar . Weigh myself. And get to 10.4 for sat ! I’m pretty sure I’m much higher than my maintence!

Bubbles44 · 15/09/2024 19:00

Sounds a good plan!

I’m guessing I’ll be 10.2 in the morning. Going to try and really cut down nuts and yogurt. I need to reduce to lower my set point. Feel like I’m gradually creeping up!

It's going to be a good week for us all!!

hollyblueivy · 15/09/2024 21:32

I'm here, haven't weighed so will face scales in the morning and be back to it.

Good to see you back @jelly79

hollyblueivy · 16/09/2024 07:24

Morning all,

10:11:5 today. I really want to get a few pounds off between now and Christmas. Preferably 5lb, but 3lb would do.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 16/09/2024 17:41

10.1 today. Good day! Hope weight comes down a bit faster this week.
@hollyblueivy that’s a great target, im sure you’ll manage that!
Hope it’s been a good day for everyone!

hollyblueivy · 17/09/2024 07:33

I only ate dinner yesterday so weighed at 10:9:9 this morning.

I think my goal for before Christmas is 10:6:00 so 4lb off from now.

I will end up having socials and things on the lead up to Christmas so I'll set the goal and see what happens. I'll probably have to work harder from now to end November with hopefully an attempt to maintain during December.

Obviously I'll put on over Christmas which is why I want to drop before so my increase doesn't send me into the 11's again.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 17/09/2024 13:54

That’s a great drop @hollyblueivy sounds a great run up to Christmas. I did really well last year in November and December. Set point was 9.9. Need to remember what I did!

10 for me today. So hungry. Nearly bought something at lunch but I knew I’d buy chocolate so held strong! Just going to look forward to breaking my fast tonight.

hollyblueivy · 18/09/2024 08:01

You should be in the 9's again soon.

10:9:3 here - sandwich for lunch and salmon avocado salad for dinner.

Half way through the week. Let's keep going.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 18/09/2024 09:42

Sounds like a good week for you @hollyblueivy . How’s the running going? I’m finding getting up early harder now with the dark mornings.
9.13 today. A couple of days ahead of last week. Need a couple of good weekends to switch things around! Really hard when it comes to it though!

hollyblueivy · 19/09/2024 07:35

Well done to get back into the 9's - just in time for the weekend, what's your plan?

I haven't done any running, that was short lived. Haven't been to gym in a couple of weeks either so will get back into exercise from next week. I think the dark cold mornings will put an end to outdoor running for me but would like to pick it back up in the spring.

10:9:0 today. Just reinforcing my goal to myself that I'd like to be 10:6 by end November and broadly maintain during December. If I can maintain 10:9:0 to the end of September then I need to lose 1.5lb in October and the same again in November. It is doable if I put my mind to it.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 19/09/2024 08:48

Hey girls

well done @hollyblueivy and @Bubbles44
thats totally doable @hollyblueivy its also very realistic unlike the stupid goals I set myself!

im struggling over here waaaa!!!! I’ve basically been stuck at 10,7 for ages now and it won’t move. I’m hungry and so I eat..and sometimes I’m eating just because I want to! I seem to have lost my mojo . I’m still exercising 3 times a week…. but it’s my weekends I’m going way over and then it’s affecting my progress…not sure how to tackle this!!!!!

anyways I have today and tmrw to try get something off. I think in the week I basically have to aim for 1000 cals so at weekends I can go a bit wild! Or I aim for 1400 all week or something o don’t know!

today I’m trying to push myself for 850 days and lots of protein as on sat I have pizza and aperol with my family as it’s DH bday and im
going to have to do a huge workout and eat boiled eggs all day as I want to enjoy it!!!

I also think I might be perimenopause as my
periods are all over and my mum was very young when hers stopped

so not sure that’s helping.

aghhhhhh!!! Will report tonight and tmrw. Fed up!

Bubbles44 · 19/09/2024 17:28

9.13 today. Hope I get below that tomorrow.probably won’t as feel so bloated. Plan is to stay on plan this weekend. It’s only thing that will get a good drop next week.

Sounds like it’s going well @hollyblueivy Love your realistic plan! You’ve been so consistent.
I know, it’s so hard running in the dark and early. I need to persevere with it as the only chance I get. Already counting down to spring!

Sorry it’s tough at the moment @Smartmove. I think the best thing to do is start every day doing the best you can and one day it’ll be easier and things will move again. Hard when it’s feels so hard. It makes you just want to f* it and eat an entire cake! But keep going!
Ah bloody hormones. So unfair isn’t it. I’m going through it early too. Rubbish isn’t it. It’s what got me into fasting and made me give up alcohol as was feeling so bad! Hope your symptoms aren’t too bad!

Bubbles44 · 19/09/2024 20:55

Have eaten biscuits and chocolate 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Smartmove · 19/09/2024 21:09

Managed a 880 cal day and low carbs
surprsingly full? amazing what u can do when u tell urself to do it!!!

will do same tmrw!

oh @Bubbles44 been there done that worn the T-shirt 1000000000 times. No advice! Just don’t be hard on urself and try again tmrw.

Bubbles44 · 19/09/2024 21:23

@Smartmove i thought September would be easier than this! Im going to treat tonight as my weekend treat and back on it tomorrow! Want to be 9.12 asap!!
well done keeping it so low today!

hollyblueivy · 20/09/2024 09:32

@Smartmove Well done for your efforts yesterday. It sounds like you're at a point where the amount of effort you have to put in to get a loss does not equal the reward. I sense that you only want that last few point off and then you'll be happy to maintain but those last few pounds are almost the hardest! We have a good couple of months in the lead up to Christmas and you're on the right track, so keep going.

10:8:6 today - Proves that my workouts make no difference to the scales as not been working out and weight has been dropping, so all about what I put in my mouth. Still looking forward to getting back to the gym next week though as makes me feel good and I'm sure it does change my body composition even if the scale weight stays the same. (If that makes sense.)

Smartmove · 20/09/2024 12:21

Well done @hollyblueivy your on a roll!
def nothing to do with excercise I lost most of mine with little. But I’ve upped it now for general health and when I had my PT I did feel I could eat more than when I don’t and my tummy was slightly flatter

im 10.6.5 today . Gonna do another 900 cal day today and hope to drop another one today.
tmrw is off with pizza! But will be good rest of day rather than pressing the f button!
back on Sunday

plan is 10.4.5 for next Friday. I need to keep it very low calorie in the week to do that . I had 4 days off last week which is clearly too many to maintain. I think I need to do m-f low cals. Sat and Sunday forget it and eat and drink as I please. Will trial that this month and see how I find it…
