I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Good perspective, one week is not going to undo all your hard work. It will come off. Hope you've had a lovely time.

10:9:5 for me today. Keeping things steady.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 15/08/2024 16:57

I’ve lost the plot
starting tmrw as out tonight
prob 10.9 now!
@Bubbles44 u have enjoyed! Don’t dread it and just hop back on(easier said than done!) I’ll be with you next week really got to be on it

cant undo all my hard work!!!!!!

Smartmove · 16/08/2024 07:18

10.10
wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right scales hidden and I begin! Must get back to 10.3. No plans this weekend

hollyblueivy · 16/08/2024 07:29

@Smartmove I think we can all relate to that post holiday getting back on the wagon difficulty. Discipline is good before we go away and then getting back into the habits and routine is well intended but easier said than done. You're only back a week though so go easy on yourself and next week will be better. In the scheme of things I think you've done amazingly well with your trips and celebrations!!!

10:9:9 for me today.

I am liking being closer to the 10:9 mark so I need to protect that this weekend. I have a social on Saturday so my strategy is not to let the whole weekend be holiday mode and Friday and Sunday will be treated like a weekday.

That means today I fast for as long as I can. Mackerel and eggs for lunch and a healthy dinner.

Coffee and water with no alcohol.

I won't get a chance to exercise this weekend so it is all about the food / drink intake.

It looking any further ahead than Sunday at this point so I can really focus this weekend.

How is everyone else's weekend looking? How has your week gone?

OP posts:
Smartmove · 16/08/2024 08:56

Thanks @hollyblueivy i don’t feel good! I feel cross! I’ve eaten a lot of crap this week
anyways I think this was the shock I needed.
im ready to go with no plans till next sat where we are visiting family . I need to get 5 off this week so im back in my range.

I’ve injured my foot so sadly excercise is out!

Bubbles44 · 16/08/2024 10:10

Well done @hollyblueivy ! That’s fab that you are edging down. Well done. Especially in the holidays! Hope the weekend goes well for you.

@Smartmove yes so hard after all the holidays and celebrations. Hopefully it will click back over the next few days for you. Just maybe don’t restrict too much so you can manage it and don’t feel too deprived. Hope your foot is better soon!

Heading home now. So many nice meals and cakes and ice creams. Drinking tea in the morning and not black coffee. Ready for routine and some good fasts although it will be hard! Dread to see the damage in the morning on the scale but hope it’ll motivate me!!!

Smartmove · 16/08/2024 14:52

@hollyblueivy well done. U have maintained so well this year. Have u found it hard? I suspect u have had to be mindful?

im doing well. Will end on 1000 today. Same again tmrw.

hollyblueivy · 16/08/2024 18:27

I have maintained but that wasn't my intention, I want to lose about another half a stone (at least) but it just hasn't come off!

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 17/08/2024 08:16

10.2. Thought it would be higher but feel gross from all the rubbish I’ve been eating. Need to be on it this weekend. Hard as it’s weekend. Not loads on though so shouldn’t be a problem if I stay focused. Yesterday was a disaster after thinking it would be easy! Need to get a long fast in. Not going to set targets but just want healthy food!
Hope it’s a good day for everyone!

Smartmove · 17/08/2024 08:39

Am not weighing but sticking to 1000 again
@Bubbles44 thats great post holiday weigh in. Give it 1-2 weeks and it be gone!
I really want to be back in my maintence range by next sat am….but that means loosing 5/6 this week which is a lot to ask for!!!!

then sept/oct I want to get to 10 (but I feel like that might kill me!!!!)

hollyblueivy · 17/08/2024 09:43

Glad the scales wasn't as much as you thought. Probably a lot of water retention making you feel bloated, drink loads and flush it away. A few pounds off and you'll be back in the 9's. I think there's something psychological about going into a different stone bracket. @Bubbles44

@Smartmove I completely get you, it's hard to decide what we want more, speedy weight loss or more steady and get to have a bit more freedom along the way. I just cannot feel restricted and don't like being hungry so I wouldn't be successful at the quick route, as much as I'd love to click my fingers and see half a stone vanish!

10:9:3 today. About 2 off this week and possibly the closest I've been to 10:9 in bloody ages.

Friday was treated as a weekday yesterday, although the rose in the fridge was calling my name!

Saturday day off today and back to it tomorrow.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 17/08/2024 19:26

gone to plan today. Tmrw will be the same
need to keep it nice and boring and just get this bloat off asap!

Bubbles44 · 17/08/2024 20:59

All good here too. Fasted until 2pm and lots of nice healthy food and no sugar. Need to do the same tomorrow! Will weigh daily this week!

Bubbles44 · 18/08/2024 08:15

10.1. Had a lot of nuts yesterday so need to calm that today! Been for a run. Need to stay sensible again.
Yes @hollyblueivy I think going into another stone bracket is annoying. I would like to get to 9.7 so when I go up after holidays I would still be in the 9’s. We’ll see though. Not sure that will ever happen.
How are you getting on @Serialcatmum hope it’s going well.
Have a good day everyone!

hollyblueivy · 18/08/2024 12:14

Glad you both had a good day yesterday, the weekends can be hard.

I consumed lots of food and drinks yesterday and somehow managed to weigh at 10:9:00 this morning. I don't understand it and am expecting it to catch up with me over the next couple of days.

Back to plan today though, water and coffee and banana has been eaten so far. Chicken for dinner but not sure what I'm doing with it yet.

Really hope I am able to maintain around the 10:9 mark for the next few weeks and then try to lose a bit more September/October/November

Serialcatmum · 18/08/2024 15:05

Hi,

I’ve gone quiet cos I’m really struggling 🫣

I weighted myself and I put 3lbs on during the holiday. Didn’t feel fair as I was careful. I didn’t deserve a loss. But not 3lb gain. Anyway. Feeling a bit down- first time I’ve put weight on since march and it freaks me out. I worry lll put all 57lb back on. I’m trying to stick to 1600cals a day but feels like to many but I am still finding it restrictive. I’ve got 2 more weeks of the holidays left, hoping that the routine of work will give me the kick start I need

Seems like a you guys have had things a bit tricky too. Weekends are hard. Still think you guys have a brilliant weight though! Xxx

Smartmove · 18/08/2024 18:10

Hi girls

@Serialcatmum wow thats a fab post holiday weight. I don’t think you should be upset at all. Some of it will water retention and in a few days will be gone. I mean I’ve put on 7!!!!!! Which is awful but this is life and u can’t eat 1600 and fast for 24 hours on holiday. I think u done fab. U have done amazing to loose 57 wow!!!’ This isn’t linear and weight loss is a journey. It’s up and down and sometimes down and down. I’m sending u a virtual hug and think you should be seeing how far you have come

@hollyblueivy great I’ll join you on loosing some in sept / Oct too.

@Bubbles44 have u managed to get back on wagon? Are u feeling better?

I prob ended on 1200 today but prob too many carbs and no enough steps. Overall fine with it though and weighing is helping I think. But also worried I’ve not dropped anything! I’ve hidden the scales so hoping I stay away until next Friday am

Bubbles44 · 19/08/2024 06:08

Sorry you’re feeling a bit rubbish @Serialcatmum . But like @Smartmove said I think you’re doing amazing. Such an incredible loss so far. To have a whole summer out of routine and lovely holidays and only gain 3 pounds is fab. That can happen for me after a bad weekend! Every day is the start of a new fast and you’ll be back in routine before you know it so try and be kind to yourself in the last couple of weeks. You’ve come so far!

10 today! I think I’m feeling on it. It can change quick but so far so good. In work this week which will def help with the fasting. No big plans coming up so just need to stick with it as best as I can! Will try no sugar for as long as I can as it really helped with my cravings.

hollyblueivy · 19/08/2024 08:14

@Serialcatmum Well done for checking in when you're feeling a bit rubbish. I hope you're feeling a bit better now. Putting it into perspective you have done amazing to lose 57lb without a single gain, that's incredible! Don't let 3lb make you feel bad. It is completely normal you will have seen that from this thread. And you were on holiday, I'd take that as a win!!! It could have been much worse. Draw a line and move on, you got this.

10:11:7 for me today. The gain caught up as expected and yesterday was a bit too much carbs / cheese but enjoyed and needed.

Back to the grindstone today.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 19/08/2024 18:02

I’ve ended on 1600 which isn’t great. 500 cals were dark choc and cake!!! Honestly something wrong with me!

will try again tmrw. Want to weigh tmrw to check im going right way but also scared ill self sabotage or give up!!!!

think tmrw i just clean eat and stick to 1000 cals I suppose i know that does work!

Bubbles44 · 20/08/2024 07:19

9.13. 24 hour fast today. Not had sugar since Friday. Feeling ok so far, thought I’d struggle after the amount I had last week. Early days I guess.
Hope it’s a good day for everyone!

hollyblueivy · 20/08/2024 08:21

Hope the scales are kind if you step on them @Smartmove - either way don't self sabotage or give up, keep going!!

@Bubbles44 Yay for being back in the 9's! Well done for no sugar. I can only go about two days max no chocolate and I am bad for having sugar in my coffee, should probably work on that.

10:10:4 today. Fine with that. Had ham salad sandwich for lunch and sweet potato, chicken and beans. Really basic food but all enjoyed.

Didn't get to gym yesterday so must go today. The weather has perked up a little so that should help.

Morning girls

i didn’t stand on. I ended up having some toast yest and prob 1800 so thought today would have put me in a terrible mood

inspired by @Bubbles44 and @Serialcatmum im doing a 20 hour fast and 800 cals. If it’s possible I can do it too!!! (Not brave enough for as long as u guys!)

@Bubbles44 well done for back in 9 you will be back to 9.10 soon!

@hollyblueivy another week of maintaining well done !

Serialcatmum · 20/08/2024 09:08

This sounds like a great plan. Enjoy whilst being mindful but get it out of your system and go again when all the routine is back to normal.
