I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

First day back is hard. I should end on 1100 and 50g carbs
20 min pelaton and 15 mins weights done. 5000 steps.

I did have some dark choc after lunch which is annoying and has meant I need to scale back dinner to be in calories!

@Bubbles44 I'm the same with the scale, can't decide if it's a help or hindrance. I am hoping that when I get to proper maintenance that I can revert to once a week weigh.

Have a lovely holiday. Don't feel guilty about the treat you choose to have.

@Smartmove Welcome home, you've done well to draw the line on holiday so quickly and have a workout and a low calorie day. It usually takes me a good week of faffing before really getting back on it so that that as a win.

@Serialcatmum Hope you've had a good time in Spain, it's super hot there at the moment isn't it.

10:11:5 today. Not surprised at the increase. I had a mountain of carvery yesterday and still feel full up from it now so almost more of a surprise that it wasn't a higher increase.

Steps were great yesterday although no formal workout. Hope to get one in today.

Food likely to be a mix of good/bad next few days.

Hi all,

Just about to leave sunny Spain. It really has been hot!!! Had a lovely time- aye when I was hungry but didn’t over indulge really. Defo a few more desserts that usual and fries but also stopped when I wasn’t hungry and wasn’t ridiculous. Just that happy mix of didn’t feel like I’ve missed out/ deprived but don’t feel I’ve over indulged! I am have a chippy tea (promised my husband!)!

I did a few hours of paddle boarding on the sea on my own yesterday- I defo feel like I’m a bit more confident being over 50 pound down. I don’t think I’d have been brave enough last summer.
Dreading that first day back on it. Know exactly what you mean @Smartmove. I probably won’t weigh myself for a few weeks. Give myself time to adjust and get a true picture of where I’m at. Realistically it won’t change what I do moving forward. I can’t reduce my calories (safely) any further and I already exercise 5 days a weeks so doesn’t seem like a helpful tool.

@hollyblueivy im sure that gain will just be the carvery in transit!!!

im very annoyed at myself. I had icecream last night only dropped 1.5 pounds of my massive 7 pound bloat :(

today no sugar no carbs. Legs hurt post work out so maybe an arms workout and a low cal day.

the scales are so depressing this am :( I’ve not weighed 10.12 in forever :(

Feeling like I’m back in zone today

1000 cals hopefully and will end at 430. Do a 17 hours fast until 930

arms work out and a 10 min power walk today and lots of housework!

fingers crossed for a decent drop given no icecream consumed!

Hope you get the drop you want to see @Smartmove. Are you hungry on such low cals after holiday? I'm always so much more hungry after holiday and I don't like the feeling.

yes I’m starving! I ended up eating a bit more last night. My body aching post work out. Hoping hunger a bit more regulated today. And I can drop carbs further

yoghurt almond butter rasberries
tuna salad
cod Harrisa bean stew which looks amazing.

I've gone a bit mad with the food today. Scales will be up tomorrow but it will be a new day and a new week so I'm ready for it.

Monday to Friday will be fully focussed and I have a social on Saturday night so that will be my motivation.

Workout x3 likely to be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Will try to keep steps above 8k per day also so later in the week may try to get some walks in.

It's going to be hot so taking on water shouldn't be an issue.

Need to keep to lunch and dinners, usual high protein and low carb, healthy snacks such as fruit and yogurt if needed.

I know what o have to do. I just have to actually do it!!!

Gosh so many treats have been had so far! So delicious too! Been for a couple of runs so hopefully I’ll at least try and keep that up.

After a weekend of total indulgence, I’m going to try and calm down the next few days! It will be hard. But I need to try. Feel like the biggest I’ve been in ages! Horrible feeling so rubbish. Having a lovely time just need to not say yes to all the things!

must stop the icecream!!! Hoping I can do no sugar from today. 5 pounds away from upper range of maintence want to be back there by end of week! Hope it’s all water and bloat and not fat!

@Bubbles44 its so hard when away. Enjoy u can deal with it when back.

10:10:6 today - Not as big a gain as I thought I may have seen so happy with that. Was hungry this morning so have had some protein for breakfast with my coffee.

@Bubbles44 Glad you're allowing yourself some treats. It's maddening though that it takes so much effort to get it off and just a few ways of indulging makes us feel full and bloated!

@Smartmove Keep going and keep trying you will get there. Let's have a really good week this week.

I had a real greedy weekend and ate everything I wanted. Straight into a longer fast this morning and will eat again tonight.

10.8.4 today. Getting back to range
plan today no excercise as both kids at home but will eat low carb and no icecream!
will stop weighing after Friday and move to once a week.

Have tuna pasta for lunch and chicken for dinner. It's only me having the chicken so I can do whatever I like with it. Was thinking of frying in pan with garlic and ginger and either some chopped tomatoes or passata and stir in some soft cheese for like a creamy tomato chicken.

Sounds good @hollyblueivy ! I’d have to add some mushrooms and broccoli to it. They are my favourite things and I add them to everything 😂

You needed and have managed to stop. If you want to boredom snack, it's boring but try carrot sticks, apple, cucumber sticks etc. you're doing great getting off your holiday weight, don't sabotage it now!

@Serialcatmum We have some mushrooms that need to be eaten today so yes, they will feature on dinner tonight. I'm hungry early today, tempted to make dinner soon.

That pasta has bloated my tummy out though. Hope it doesn't make me gain tomorrow.

Managed. PT session today and a walk to an appointment. Really need to kick my diet pop habit. It’s not frisky a fast when you’re slipping diet pop all day…

10:9:5 today - pleased with that as my lunch and dinner was enjoyable and filling. I also had a bar of the Aldi dark chocolate which I think I now eat daily more often than not. Might need to limit it, but it feels worth the 150 calories for how tasty it is!

I'd like to start doing a bit more fasting, having a shorter eating window during the day so also interested in any tips to get back into it.

Hello, well the week didn’t get much better. I don’t think I’ve eaten this much in years! It’s one week though! I’m so ready to get back to my routine. Last day tomorrow so I’ll just enjoy. Travel back Friday so hope to get a long fast then. Saturday weigh in. Predicting a massive gain. At least 7 pounds, maybe more.
Hope it’s going well for everyone and back in the zone! Dreading how hard it’s going to be next week not eating constantly!!
