I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Checking in as not the best day. Was all good until 8pm when I was starving. Was tempted by rubbish. Managed to steer clear of that. But had nuts, banana, peanut butter and dark chocolate.nothing overly processed or sugary but feel guilty!! Never eat this late!!

Bubbles44 · 03/08/2024 21:05

Sounds good @Smartmove enjoy your holiday!

Well the things you chose to eat are good for your body so I think you should give yourself a pass xx

Bubbles44 · 03/08/2024 22:29

Well done on another 48 hour fast @Serialcatmum that’s great. Enjoy your feast! When do you go on holiday?

Yes definitely. I think i feel guilty as I rarely eat after my window is closed. But was really hungry. Usually I’d go for chocolate but went for the healthy options. Although I’ll have been massively higher on cals, no bad ingredients. Those twirls are really teasing me though. I’ve stayed strong(ish) for today at least.

Pesky twirls!!! I’ve got a box of 48 orange ones from bookers but they don’t taste that great and we’ve had them for months. I can be so picky about some stuff and then total glutton for others…

I enjoyed my dinner! I had Greek lasagne with salad. I’m super full and can’t fit any treats in. I’ll probs be hungry later in the week (usually an after a fast!) so will make up for it no doubt!

I go early hours Monday. We are going half board so I’ll try to have an ok breakfast, fast till dinner and have soem treats then. OR I could lose all willpower and be a piglet. Who knows! 😂🐷. My hotel has a gym and I’m packing my kit so that always helps.

If you’re hungry you’re hungry. It horrible going to bed hungry. Sounds like you made some good choices! Certainly nothing to feel the guilt about (but I also do get it and wish I didn’t get it!!!) xx

Bubbles44 · 04/08/2024 19:14

Have a great holiday @Serialcatmum enjoy a more relaxed time! You’ll soon be back to routine!

How’s your weekend been @hollyblueivy?

So i had sugar today. Big slice of cake at family celebration. Wasn’t even nice which was disappointing. Haven’t gone crazy or anything. I go away Friday so might try and do the no weigh in until Thursday or Friday. I’m off work this week too which is always tricky but got plans tomorrow so should get a long fast in.

hollyblueivy · 04/08/2024 19:35

Such a shame when you commit to having a treat and then it's a disappointment. You at least want to enjoy it.

I was 10:11:7 today which I think is the whole weekend catching up. I've had a couple of beers today and may end up having a pudding before the day is out.

I am prepared to have a good four days Monday to Thursday next week.

Need to go back to basics. Reduce my eating window, lunch and dinner only, water, workouts and focus on protein.

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 05/08/2024 08:30

Well that was a lovely weekend and I feel so bloated today from an overload of carbs yesterday, I was shocked to have stayed at 10:11:7 as I feel much heavier.

I will fast for as long as I can and have lunch with an early dinner to allow my body plenty of time to rest and digest.

Thinking an omelette and salad for lunch and dinner may be beef and vegetables.

Minimum of three workouts this week. All at least an hour to involve both strength and cardio.

Bubbles44 · 05/08/2024 08:52

Lovely that you’ve had such a great weekend. And nice to have had a surprise on the scale. Always feels like a massive win. Sounds like a great plan for the week.

I ended up snacking again last night. Dreamt about eating Easter eggs too?!?!
My plan is to weigh Thursday. Hope that stops me having the extra handful of nuts and extra dark chocolate. Need to take the kids on some big walks I think to keep out the house and get steps up.

Smartmove · 05/08/2024 13:40

Not doing great here but think from tmrw I’ll be feeling bloated and start eating more healthy!
I did go to gym which is a win! No scales here but feeling like my tummy is def sticking out. Got date night tonight as the grandparents will keep kids so will enjoy that and then tmrw plan is

yoghurt fruit
veg sticks and hummus
dinner - no pudding no drink tmrw (had about 1 large glass last 2 night so not terrible but not great!)

Smartmove · 06/08/2024 07:50

Right! Had a 3 course meal and a few glasses of Prosecco. Feeling HUGE! And not great in my jeans

so today I will be good and I won’t drink and will stay of the snacks

Bubbles44 · 06/08/2024 07:57

Hope everyone is doing well. Sounds a fun holiday @Smartmove . You’re checking in and being mindful and as long as you’re on it when you are home it’ll be fine. Although I know it’s horrible when you feel boated on holiday. Hope you have a good day today!

I’m ok, good day yesterday. Nervous about weigh in Thursday. Definitely less active without normal routine!

hollyblueivy · 06/08/2024 07:57

You're on holiday @Smartmove, time to enjoy and let loose a little. Hope you're enjoying the treats and you know what time do when you're back. Appreciate you probably want to make it as easy as possible for yourself and it's definitely a balance when you're away, but I bet loads of it will be water retention.

I had a good day yesterday food, water, workout and steps were all in order. I slept well and my muscles feel a bit tight today.

10:10:8 today which I'm pleased with for a Tuesday.

Hey hey hey from sunny (roasting hot!) Spain!

Yesterday was a disaster food wise (in the worse way) and I was hungry all day and when we eventually got round to dinner it was gross. So defo didn’t eat all my calories!

Today has been better, started off in the gym and then was ravenous at breakfast (after hardly anything the day before!) but pleased with my choices. Lots of fruit, lots of mushrooms, some dried fruit and nuts (my favourite, but calorific)

Shared a plate of chips at lunch and ate 10 of them (despite my mum getting more and more offended that she was eating more than me and that’s not acceptable). Dinner was a bit better, loads of veg and some vegetarian lasagne with a cheese and nut delicious salad. I had 3 puddings but only ate a 3rd of each so only one really! 🤣

Not depriving myself but also trying to be rational this holiday 😁

it’s ok to treat yourself @Smartmove we can both pull it back next week!!!

Smartmove · 07/08/2024 07:11

@Serialcatmum sounds like a good start!
I was terrible yest the weather was bad and so there was little to do and I ate allll day!
going to pull back today . I saw a photo of myself and I’m so bloated - I think the mix of all the trips and also stopping my PT has had a big impact on my body shape.
Will report back at lunch but hoping to ignore biscuits and chocolates today

@Bubbles44 good luck with weigh in. How long r u away for?

@hollyblueivy wrlk don on staying In ur range again

Bubbles44 · 07/08/2024 07:33

Sounds a great holiday @Serialcatmum enjoy. It sounds like you’re making good choices. Make the most of the sunshine!

@Smartmove you’ve had such a special time in your life, you’ve enjoyed it. Don’t be hard on yourself. You’ll drop a lot of the water weight fast and tone up once you get your gym sessions back! Have you got any more trips planned?

@hollyblueivy well done for having a good start to the week. Hope it is continuing?

I’m away for a week. With lots of family. It’s a week when food is such a big feature. Especially sweet treats! No plan for how I’ll approach. Even longer fasts are harder on this holiday! Will weigh tomorrow. I was 9.10 last year! Feel like it will be higher tomorrow!

Serialcatmum · 07/08/2024 07:43

Why are holidays and special family occasions always ALL ABOUT the food?! Seriously!!! It’s crazy.

hollyblueivy · 07/08/2024 08:41

Hope you're all having a lovely time away. I completely get the connection with the food and for me it is alcohol as well when away. For me it's the break from the norm, a deserved rest and recharge and a time to enjoy the good things within the realms of the holiday start and end date before resuming the usual routine. Unfortunately I have a tendency to treat weekends in the same manner, which is why I haven't actually made an ounce of progress this year!!!

I had another good day yesterday, two in a row and going for a third.

10:10:1 today

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 08/08/2024 06:05

9.12!!! Annoyed!
Last year i was 9.10 going on this holiday and went up to 10.3 😬. So if I can be less than 10.3 on my return that’s kind of winning! Although need to not just go crazy today because I’m so annoyed. It must be hormone related! Had a great 3 days. A blip on Sunday but it was nothing crazy.
Set off very early tomorrow so can get one more weigh in.

I know! Everything revolves around food!!!! I have very weak willpower when I’m with other people too.

Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays and making the most of it!

Fab that your weight is dropping. Is 10.9 your goal @hollyblueivy?

hollyblueivy · 08/08/2024 08:57

@Bubbles44 Hormones have probably given you a false weight and once settled will go back down again, hope you manage to see it as quickly as the morning before you go away. Have a great time and will be keeping fingers crossed for you to be 10:3 or less by home time.

10:9:9 today. Hasn't been a bad week.

My goal is probably around 10:3 but I just haven't been settled at 10:9 in so long that's my kind of interim target. Get to there, stay there for a bit and try to get myself lower to the eventual goal of 10:3, giving myself 3lb either side of that to maintain.

In reality I've been maintaining around 10:10 pretty much all year so far. Need to change something to get a different result. Think that will have to wait until after the summer holidays though.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 08/08/2024 18:22

Sounds a good plan @hollyblueivy . So hard to break a weight a keep it down! I always like September as a reset month, less dull and miserable than January.

After my weigh in this morning I’ve enjoyed some indulgent food today. I feel rubbish already and holiday hasn’t even started. Next weigh in a week Saturday. Dreading it already. Will try and get some runs in and a couple of long fasts if I can and just enjoy the treats I have.

Hope it’s a good weekend for everyone!

Smartmove · 08/08/2024 18:52

@Bubbles44 no. Ur doing great. It’s hard work maintaining esp at a low weight. Think u should mindfully enjoy whilst away life is for living and u don’t want to feel like u missed out. Have one icecream not ten. And share a pudding etc etc. but def enjoy!

@Serialcatmum how is holiday going!

@hollyblueivy well done for dropping again and staying in range with holidays.

in having my last drink and ordered a curry. I’m in a trackies coz jeans don’t fit!!!!
tonight in bed planning my food for 3 days.

next social event in 7 days so hoping to have most of this bloat off by then but giving my myself till 23rd of august to be 10.3/4 roughly. Want to be back at 10.3 of August. Then Sept and Oct will see me loose my final few pounds. I have a big work event noc and want to be at maintence by then.

weighing tmrw then again sat . Then will stop till next social night out

Smartmove · 09/08/2024 06:52

I’m ready to go!!!! About to weigh
yoghurt berries
eggs salmons
prawn and veg stir fry maybe with some skinny noodles if I have cals.
going to be below 1200 all week , aim more in 1000 range. Feeling so bloated!

Bubbles44 · 09/08/2024 07:12

Yes I’m definitely going to enjoy treats. Definitely about being mindful though. Hopefully have a good day today. Travelling days are usually ok. Should fast until dinner time. Still so full from yesterday.
Good luck with weigh in @Smartmove . The scale coming down fast this week will definitely keep you motivated
@hollyblueivy well done on your weight this week. Hope you have a nice weekend planned.
@Serialcatmum hope you’re having a lovely break in the sunshine.

So undecided about the scale. I think daily weigh in for me works well. But then it’s constant mind games! But yesterday’s really got me down after leaving it for a few days!

Smartmove · 09/08/2024 07:32

Have a fab time @Bubbles44

im the highest I’ve been in months and months. I think its a mix of all the food and celebrations catching up with me.

having my coffee black and hoping a lot drops off very quickly!
