I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Enjoy your rest day today @Bubbles44 - I'm amazed at all your running.

@Smartmove Hope you enjoyed the ice cream, was so hot yesterday!

10:11:7 again for me today - roughly the same for the last 4 days.

I feel a bit out of control at the moment, like the willpower / discipline isn't quite there. I don't trust myself to stick to a plan and feel bad when I don't follow whatever I set as an intention, so just not setting anything.

Yesterday wasn't actually that bad, had ham salad roll for lunch and chilli with rice and salad for dinner with fruit salad for pudding. No exercise or steps though.

Since I was poorly a few weeks ago I just haven't got back into the habit of working out. I wonder if I can sort that, then the eating will follow along.

Aim is to go to the gym tonight!

@hollyblueivy well done for eating healthy nourishing food! Better than me yest !!! And ur maintaining - is it hard? I’m really worried about being there I can’t imagine just eating and not calorie counting and not gaining?

hope u make it to gym

I think it will be trial and error when you get to maintaining, set a little bracket to give you 2-3 pounds grace either side as it will be impossible to stick to an exact weight.

Broadly eat in the same way as you are now, but maybe experiment with a little more in your day to stop the weight loss and maintain the weight. It could be using olive oil in a salad or cooking, or having some avocado, or wholemeal bread. Like good things that are a bit higher in calories without reverting to just eating extra crap.

had a good day yest I did have a 40 cal piece of Hu! But it was delicious and I’m not gonna get annoyed about that

really wanted to weigh today but didn’t and downed some water so can’t! Feeling less bloated but def not in my maintence yet I don’t think.

now I’m sort of at goal / trying to loose my celebration bloat I think daily weighing is working against me. At start is helpful to motivate as I see daily drops. Then when I’m getting close to goal I have too many days off coz I’m “relax”. I just need to eat healthily for life and not go to that “relax” eat lots place. It’s hard though . I’m def better but not quite got it yet

low workout this am - am hungry after one small meal and icecream! So won’t push myself but good to get something in.
puriton shake
hummus salad
roast chicken and veg

I’ll weigh sat am. Love to be 10.5 back in range. Which means 2.5 off from last weight in (some of that was water weight so should have made it??)

Defo hard to stay on track after a Mr Whippy! Well done. It’s a sign that you have control over it. I daren’t have a casual ice cream yet!!!

Serialcatmum · 31/07/2024 08:54

Morning all, really helpful checking back to the thread and seeing where you’re all at. The holidays are wierd aren’t they! Hard to be out of routine.

Stuck to my 800 cals mon/ tues and had a rest day yesterday. I’m going to the seaside for a few nights today. It’s self catering so I’m taking bolognaise but not sure if I’ll fancy lunch with everyone else eating. Will try to hold off as long as possible. I’ve already done a workout this morning (just cardio) and don’t think I’ll get chance to do anything tomorrow.

Sounds like yesterday was a good day @hollyblueivy ! Can’t get those steps in every single day!!!

Smartmove · 31/07/2024 14:31

@hollyblueivy good advice
just an issue I have a sweet tooth and love cakes choc and biscuits!!!!! I’m wondering if 1 daily treat (not like a huge slice cake but like a 100 cals set aside for something every day will curb my desire) and some extra fruit and veg is how I will maintain . Will work it out when there

im soooooooo hungry today! prob coz my carbs was high yest!

Smartmove · 31/07/2024 19:14

Ending on 1500
very hungry day and ate an extra sandwhich on top of it all. Will try better tmrw but actually prob in smalls deficit still given low impact work out

weighing sat. Not tmrw!!!!

Bubbles44 · 31/07/2024 19:37

I was so hungry today too. Been at home today which is always hard. Managed to get to 12.30. Eaten a lot more nuts and dark chocolate than I usually would. But nothing too bad. I had some peanut butter too. So weird, there are twirls in the cupboard and I’m not even bothered or thinking about them. I think the no sugar has helped my cravings. Who knows! Not sure if I’ll weigh tomorrow, think I’ll be up!

@Smartmove definitely good not weighing if you can help it. Well done for resisting. Fingers crossed for Saturday. Still a couple of days before then.

@Serialcatmum I hope you have a lovely time and can enjoy some nice treats. Sounds like you’ve been doing so well sticking to the low cals and fasting!

@hollyblueivy don’t be hard on yourself at all. You’re maintaining and not spiralling. Your workout routine will come back!

hollyblueivy · 31/07/2024 19:49

@Serialcatmum Few days be the sea sounds lovely, enjoy.

I made it to the gym, was just a light session and I'll stay on the light sessions for the rest of this week and aim to get back to business from next week.

Had leftovers for lunch and just doing Cajun chicken with Singapore noodles for dinner, will add a side of rocket.

Prepping some tuna pasta for lunch tomorrow.

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 01/08/2024 08:24

10:10:6 today. Happy with that.

No time for fitness today. Leftovers for lunch and not sure on dinner yet but will try to make it a good choice.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 01/08/2024 18:56

Not had best day
meeting and chocs in front of me. Prob on a maintence cals again. And no time for steps.

Bubbles44 · 02/08/2024 07:26

9.11! Been that all week . I think it is fine and in maintenance range.
2 weeks now without sugar. The odd thought about chocolate but nothing intense and no real cravings. Will be tested this weekend as seeing family where it might be hard to avoid!
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Well done @hollyblueivy for the drop yesterday.
Hope it’s a good day @Smartmove before you weigh tomorrow.

hollyblueivy · 02/08/2024 07:57

@Bubbles44 You're maintaining really well and when you get to such a light weight (your weight is amazing) I think it takes so much more hard work to drop further. Keep it steady as you have done and the results will come.

@Smartmove One small blip shouldn't ruin your whole week so hope the scales are kind to you when you step on them.

@Serialcatmum Hope you've managed to dip a toe in the sea this week!

10:9:5 today - I can't get my head around how when I take the pressure off the result seem to come better than when I set goals and targets.

Anyway, very pleased with that and feeling good today. Likely to go up over the weekend but as long as I don't go over 10:12 I'll be fine and continue for a bit in this maintenance range.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 02/08/2024 08:05

Morning girls
10.5.2 which I’m pleased with
def helped not weighing
Should have waited till tmrw though! Will be good today

plan over trip - gym regrually, keep brekkie and lunch in calories. Try not to snack on kids crap. Enjoy dinner with glass of wine - not lots and not every day.

will end up being a bit more on return. Get back to 10.5 be end of anugust and spend Sept and Oct getting to 10.2 (which is where I think I’ll stop and maintain). Not much going on then so should be doable

Smartmove · 02/08/2024 08:08

Well done @Bubbles44 for maintaining. Is it difficult? Do u feel deprived and like ur trying? Or is it just normal?

@hollyblueivy wow great!! So pleased for u. U can do it when u don’t try hehe!

have good weekends. I’m going to check in everyday to make sure I don’t go insane! But I feel much more relaxed about this trip as it’s taken me 2 weeks to loose my all inclusive weight which wasn’t too bad so I know I can get back to this maintence range .

Serialcatmum · 02/08/2024 12:25

Sorry for some reason this didn’t send last night!!!

Hi all, having a lovely time! And I didn’t want to mention it before, but yesterday I got some news that I’d passed a huge assessment that I’ve been working towards for 22 months… so I was finding it hard to not eat my (delighted ) emotions!!! I had about 1800 cals yesterday and I’ve guessed at 2000 today. Think I’ve added everything but it’s hard to rememeber the little nibbles isn’t it. I’ve not ate anything out the house and I’m well under maintenance cals so it’s all good!

might do a longer fast tomorrow (48hours) so get rid of the bloat and get ready for my abroad holiday Monday!!!

hollyblueivy · 02/08/2024 17:22

Big congratulations on passing your assessment, you must be so pleased after working towards it for all that time. I also treat / reward myself with food and / or drinks and I don't think that will ever change! Therefore, I hope you have had something celebratory as it's clearly well deserved!

Thank you! I wasn’t able to eat before the result and when the email came at 3pm I literally sobbed and my mum said “oh can we go out for dinner tonight then?” I wonder where I get the eating my feelings from 😂😂😂

Bubbles44 · 02/08/2024 19:55

Congratulations @Serialcatmum that’s amazing news! Definitely enjoy the meal. Sounds like big celebrations needed! Exciting about your holiday too!!

That’s great @hollyblueivy. Well done. Maybe that’s a lesson to us all. Not to obsess! A lot easier said than done though. How is your weekend looking?

Great @Smartmove back in your range. Especially with lack of routine. Enjoy your holiday. Sounds a good plan for when you’re away!

Yeah I guess maintenance is just the feeling of trying to lose still. Before Christmas I was maintaining 9.9 but then Christmas happened and several tins of roses later I was back to 10. I feel like it’s always going to be a battle! Although it’s definitely a battle that can be won now, as every day is a new fast. It’s stopped the whole off and on a diet business!

I think you’re right. Every time I e lost weight I’ve been aiming for a goal (never got there!) and then gave up. I don’t really have a goal at the mo. Just keep plodding in with what seems to be working for now and enjoying the intermittent fasting lifestyle!

I can’t believe I used to go to those classes and have myself weighed and judged each week. No wonder I’m terrified of the scales!!!!

Smartmove · 03/08/2024 08:24

@Serialcatmum thats fab! Well done! Ur clearly a very focussed person - well done. Hope u enjoyed celebrating

hollyblueivy · 03/08/2024 11:40

No real plan this weekend, could go either way.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 03/08/2024 19:46

Started my trip …so far
gym completed

yoghurt and raspberries

Serialcatmum · 03/08/2024 21:05
