I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Well done @Smartmove !!! Must be a great feeling!

yeah I feel good thanks! I’m still really overweight but I don’t necessarily aspire to get into the ideal weigh category. My original plan was to lose another 9/10 pounds but I might try for about 20ish (if possible!)!and then try some maintenance!

ive got a busy day with lots of social things today. Will see how things go!

Bubbles44 · 27/07/2024 08:47

Great @Smartmove glad you’ve had such a good week! Nice that you can keep the momentum going over the weekend.

@Serialcatmum i never really had a goal when I started fasting. I wanted to get to 10.9 as that felt really low but I kept up the fasting and I kept losing. I bet you’ll find that too. Fasting has changed my life. It’s not always easy but it works and I know we obsess about weight but it’s actually good for us too! Enjoy your nice weekend!

Hope you’re doing ok @hollyblueivy .

9.11.Out with friends today. Will fast until we eat but enjoy what ever comes after that! Just realised I’ve not eaten sugar since last Saturday. Would love to keep it up as it makes the week easier. I’ll see what happens today!

hollyblueivy · 27/07/2024 10:20

10:11:00 today - didn't eat well yesterday off work and out of routine, expected a gain so pleased to have maintained.

Have another few days off so expecting gain at some point. Will then work to get back into maintenance range as needed.

Will try to fast for as long as I can today as I feel like once I start I may not stop.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 27/07/2024 15:40

That’s fab @Bubbles44 re the sugar. Def enjoy today! Ur doing great staying in this weight range. I failed on the no sugar today and had 2 biscuits and a small slice of cake!!
i will have done my workout and also 1000 steps by end of day.
will come in at 1450 which isn’t great tbh but will have to do for a weekend which is always a bit more challenging!

Bubbles44 · 28/07/2024 09:12

Hello, surprisingly good day yesterday. Didn’t eat until 1.30 and it was pretty healthy no carbs. Not intentional just sounded nice. No sugar. Although I am still eating dark chocolate. I don’t count that as sugar. I mean the more processed sugar which I cannot moderate!
Will weigh again tomorrow. Big run this morning and should be a healthy day! Hopefully!
Hope it’s a good weekend for everyone!

hollyblueivy · 28/07/2024 09:30

Great focus all. Hopefully it will rub off on me soon!

10:11:7 here - increase as expected!

Absolute fail yest. Had a good weigh in and self sabotaged. I’m back to 10.7.5 today.

scales have been hidden doing a week of no sugar / 3 workouts /1200 cals consistently or less and weighing next sat before my week away (self catering so am doing healthy food order but will be some eating and drinking of course!)

so no weigh in from me coz I’m being very good at self sabotage atm. I am hoping for 10.5 which is up upper maintence range before I go away.

today so far
yoghurt rasberries
cucumber hummus cheese
lamb roast with veg no poates
work out and 1000 cals and ten thousand steps

x

hollyblueivy · 28/07/2024 14:43

I'm m on a massive fail today. Thing is I actually don't care today. Usually I have guilt.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 28/07/2024 18:08

1200
still hungry though! Did a decent workout and steps complete

Feeling so bloated.
need to stick at this all week to feel better.
i can do it

Bubbles44 · 28/07/2024 20:15

@hollyblueivy so glad you’ve enjoyed whatever treats you have had. Makes it worth while. Better than beating yourself up about it.

@Smartmove, so hard over weekends. I’ve had a few shockers lately. Mainly down to self sabotage too I think, well done for today.

I’ve had a good weekend. All healthy food. Probably higher cals/volume than in the week but that’s ok. I’ve got a feeling it’ll be a bit of a gain tomorrow. We’ll see. Holiday soon so need to stay focused!

hollyblueivy · 28/07/2024 21:32

The end of the long weekend, with more food and drinks than I'd usually consume. Enjoyed it and worth it, but I am feeling incredibly bloated and full right now.

Hoping to have a good week next week with workouts, trying longer fasts where possible. The hot weather should help in the aim to drink loads of water.

9.11. First time in ages I’ve had a good Monday weigh in! Just need to keep it up!

Hope it’s a positive day for everyone!

Smartmove · 29/07/2024 19:39

@Bubbles44 fab’ your doing so well staying in your range and def a win on a Monday! Don’t self sabotage now!!!! What do you eat for your OMAD?

good day here. Missed brekkie but grabbed a lattee. Humus raw veg. Chicken Thai curry home made - all coming in at 1000 roughly and low carbs.

not weighing again. Need to keep this up and it will drop!!! No sneaky peaks from me!

Serialcatmum · 29/07/2024 20:00

Hi all,

Yesterday was a big day exercise! I did an 8km jog and then 2 hours paddleboaring. Burnt over 2000 calories and finished the day off with burger and chips for 1300 cals.

I’ve made something new tonight- mousakka. I really enjoyed it! Some extra broccoli and a huge salad and I’m happy! I did a PT Session today and then 2 hour (slowish) walk with a pal.

So pleased to see you’ve both had a good day. Hope you’re getting on ok today @hollyblueivy.

Bubbles44 · 29/07/2024 21:45

Good day! Still in work this week which helps, even though routine is out.

I can eat quite a lot in a short space of time 😬. Bowl of nuts/seeds/fruit with kefir followed by Dark chocolate. About an hour later homemade bean chilli or lentil veg curry type thing. Don’t tend to have carbs with it. Then quite a lot of Greek yogurt and about 3 cups of tea.
How long will you hold out with the weighing @Smartmove ? so hard to resist, especially after a good day. Definitely helps though.
Great variety of exercise @Serialcatmum you’re doing so well with sticking to all of your food plans well done! You must be feeling great!

hollyblueivy · 29/07/2024 22:00

I was 10:11:5 today which is just over 2lb in from last Monday. Still within my current target maintenance range between 10:9-10:12 so hope this week I can get into the lower end of that bracket.

No formal exercise today. 8.5k steps. Food not the best but should have done enough to broadly stay around the same tomorrow.

@Serialcatmum Sounds like you're getting lots of great movement in. Well done. I've never done paddle boarding but would like to give it a go.

@Smartmove Good job not weighing, I can't keep myself away from the scales!

@Bubbles44 Brilliant weigh in for a Monday, should make this week that bit easier without having to catch up from weekend weight gain.

That was a mistake buying that dark chocolate from Aldi the other day, I don't think a day has passed without me having some. I won't buy it again for a while once it's gone. I bought two packets too!

OP posts:
Serialcatmum · 29/07/2024 22:18

It’s so hard when goodies are in the house. I was very fortunate to be gifted lots of sweets/ wine/ chocolate when I broke up from work. The wine/ fizz I’ll just regift as I don’t like it but it’s hard to resist those pick n mix cups and they sweetie bouquet!!!

i know you guys have kids at home too- so you can’t just not buy stuff!!! Pleased you enjoyed the dark chocolate. A little bit of something you really enjoy does you good. And dark chocolate is the best health wise too!!!

Serialcatmum · 29/07/2024 22:21

I’m amazed how much I can eat from 6pm
till 8pm @Bubbles44 !! I’m liek a pac man nom nom nom. Think that why the fasting and one meal a day works well for me 😂😂
doesn’t sound like you ate Too much really!! Did you track the calories? I’ve stopped having as many carbs with my dinner(just due to lack of calories when I have 800!) and I don’t really miss them
I do love a Greek flatbread at the weekend though.

hollyblueivy · 30/07/2024 08:10

10:11:7 today - Need to do enough not to tip beyond 10:12 tomorrow.

Haven't got a good plan this week, I'm winging it.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 30/07/2024 13:28

Oh don’t feel bad @hollyblueivy I have 1 or 2 of those bars a day without fail. They are small(ish). I’m sure Tim Spector says chocolate 85% or over is a superfood, so guilt free! Hope you have a good day today.

Definitely @Serialcatmum I can eat a lot. That’s why sometimes now if I have a longer eating window I struggle to not over eat. I need to work on it. I don’t count calories but I guess I’m mindful, cut out oats and PB from my fruit and nut bowl, don’t have carbs with meals etc. my tastes have definitely changed too over time!

9.11 again today. Go away next Friday so just hope to keep going until then. A lot of days before that though! Not sure how long the no sugar thing will last but it’s definitely helping with cravings!

Smartmove · 30/07/2024 13:29

I’ve had a ridiculous food day but will remain in calories but high carbs. I couldn’t resist a 99 Whippy (which clearly isn’t 99p anymore!) and also ate some of my DD. But that’s turned out to be my lunch/brekkie and I’ll power through till my chicken curry tonight. So be under 1000 but carbs be double of yest.

prob won’t get any excercise in as having both kids has knackered me out!

Smartmove · 30/07/2024 17:32

Hard to calorie count with the icecream but most online sources saying Whoopy is about 240
im therefore coming in at 1000
I want to weigh tmrw to check I’m going down but I know it won’t end with anything good!

Smartmove · 30/07/2024 17:40

A whippy!

Bubbles44 · 31/07/2024 07:17

Well done for keeping in control after the ice cream and not just giving up. It’s the best way but so hard. When are you weighing @Smartmove ? Is it this weekend you go away?
9.11 again. Thought I might drop a little bit today but no. Skipped run as done quite a few days in a row and my legs are tired. Will fit a walk in!
How’s it going with you @hollyblueivy?

Smartmove · 31/07/2024 07:45

had a good day yest I did have a 40 cal piece of Hu! But it was delicious and I’m not gonna get annoyed about that

really wanted to weigh today but didn’t and downed some water so can’t! Feeling less bloated but def not in my maintence yet I don’t think.

now I’m sort of at goal / trying to loose my celebration bloat I think daily weighing is working against me. At start is helpful to motivate as I see daily drops. Then when I’m getting close to goal I have too many days off coz I’m “relax”. I just need to eat healthily for life and not go to that “relax” eat lots place. It’s hard though . I’m def better but not quite got it yet

low workout this am - am hungry after one small meal and icecream! So won’t push myself but good to get something in.
puriton shake
hummus salad
roast chicken and veg

I’ll weigh sat am. Love to be 10.5 back in range. Which means 2.5 off from last weight in (some of that was water weight so should have made it??)
