I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Hello eveyone

oh gosh I feel so bloated and big. My jeans hardly fit. I think the issue wasn’t just this trip it was the fact I’ve had bday and anniversary too so been a whole month of eating and drinking.
good things - I walked over 15000 steps daily and went to the gym 3 times. I prob only had 1/2 glasses of wine a day (nothing last day). I kept brekkie to protein and healthy stuff (but prob too much of it)

not so good - I ate 3 course dinners every day which included very decadent desserts. And I had a buffet lunch which was mainly salad but also had a go at some puddings.

im pretty sure I’ll be 10.10 tmrw or more judging on how I’m feeling. I’m really hoping I have a very quick drop of the initial pounds. I have 2 weeks till my self catering holiday (where I will maintain as its self catering I’ll choose our orders and not going with friends or family so will be easier). And I want to be back at 10.4 at least for then. So my plan tmrw is

a lot of water
yoghurt rasberrues
tuna salad
salmon avacado
more water
will be hard as eaten a lot for a week…if I go over cals I don’t mind as long as it’s in form of nuts low carb fruits etc. until I adjust to the change. But hoping to be 1200

@hollyblueivy sorry ur not quite feeling it all arm. However u have maintained really well last few months so I think u doing well! How is ur weekend looking ?

@Serialcatmum impressed with u amazing fasting and getting off plan at weekends then st back on. And ur excercise too. Just wow really!

@Bubbles44 ur back to ur comfy weight and on the lower end of your maintence I think you doing fab too!

ill weigh tmrw but may not report back for a few days on the result out of embarrassment and fear!!!!

had a fab holiday and month so I’m just going to forget it and start as I mean to go on tmrw!

Smartmove · 19/07/2024 16:50

Oh and of course fasting 16-17 hours

this is my final push to maintence now! I knew I would gain this month with everything going on so need it off and then to stay 10.3ish

hollyblueivy · 19/07/2024 19:00

Great to have you back @Smartmove your holiday and all your celebrations sound wonderful and well worth the calories! Well done for steps and gym too, that will have helped. Alcohol intake very modest too. Hope the scales are within the limits you're hoping for. Your plan of action looks good so you'll soon drop the weight anyway.

I made it to the gym today, just for 40 minutes but that first time back is the hardest and it's done now. Wow though, the weights felt so heavy and I was going lighter! Will slowly build back up and I know I'll get back to my previous strength.

Smartmove · 19/07/2024 19:15

Sorry you were ill :( @hollyblueivy glad your back to being better

im not sure I could have gained anymore than I would have! I had so many puddings!!!

reporting tmrw !

Bubbles44 · 20/07/2024 06:52

@Smartmove welcome back! Sounds like you had the most wonderful holiday. Well done for the gym and all of those steps! Food sounds delicious. Glad you enjoyed it all. Deserts are definitely my weakness. I know it won’t be nice seeing the number on the scale. But a good bit of it will come off fast and hopefully keep you motivated!

Ok here. Friday weight was 9.11. Had a celebration last night so a few treats were had. Nothing crazy. Plan is to just be sensible and weigh in on Monday morning. Need to get over these silly weekend treats! Next week is last week of normal routine.

Hope you have a good weekend @hollyblueivy . You turned up for your workout, that’s the main thing, it won’t take long to find your strength again.

@Serialcatmum have you got a busy weekend planned? When do all of your lovely holidays start?

The break in routine makes me nervous. We have a week away which I will just enjoy. Hope the rest of it I’ll just navigate. As long as I get so some good fasts in!

Smartmove · 20/07/2024 07:09

10.10!!! Scared the life out of me
hopefully most of that is off this week :/

im already hungry though!

Smartmove · 20/07/2024 14:52

Going to plan should be 1100 today and low carbs

Serialcatmum · 20/07/2024 19:59

@Smartmove well done for getting on and facing it! Lots of water retention. You’ll soon be back down. What is your ideal weight?

Today I’ve done 37000 steps helping run a charity family fun day. Also not had any food yet. I’m pooped!

I was due to go to my works end of year party but I don’t feel all that great. Long day in the sun. There was a risk that would be a drink heavy / calorie laden evening but I jisy don’t have it in me. Saved the calories and hang over I guess.

Break in routine makes me nervous too. My first holiday is next Wednesday. Just a few nights. Then I go to Spain half board for 5 nights. Half board. With my mum who is notorious for being a feeder/ enjoys seeing me eat - despite having a tiny appetite herself. Aren’t mums funny. She almost worries if I skip a meal (did I mention my BMI was 38 a few months ago 😆)

Smartmove · 20/07/2024 20:53

@Serialcatmum u will do fab. U have come far and holidays are part of life and we have to enjoy! I wish I could not loose control on holidays but I fail every time - @Bubbles44 did fab last month maybe she can give u some advice

i I felt good at 10.3 where I was last month. I want to maintain that a while and then try get to 10 and stay there and focus on eating more with my family / and family meals rather than eating some thing different and at weird fasting times!

Sounds like a really sensible plan to me xx

Smartmove · 21/07/2024 07:55

10.9 this am. So only 1 off. Going to try drop my cals to 1000 and then see if I can do a week of 900 to get the holiday bloat off quickly

yoghurt berries seeds
sausages avacado
home made chicken curry with broccoli on side
have a terrible cold so not gonna manage steps or a work out.

hollyblueivy · 21/07/2024 08:58

10:9:3 today and yesterday although I may eat / drink out later so could have a spike tomorrow but overall that's not a bad weigh for the weekend.

Made it to the gym again yesterday and just did half hour cardio. I did sort the garden for a good 45m in the week too so I am claiming a total of three light workouts for this week.

Back to a good hour session x3 at the gym next week though. I still have the intention to try a morning run so will attempt that once during next week.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Bubbles44 · 21/07/2024 16:26

Hello, sounds like a really positive weekend. Well done everyone!
Sorry about your cold @Smartmove Well done for getting straight back on it. Fab!
Holidays are hard! The only thing I try and do is make sure I get a couple of long fasts in. I think I just got lucky last month. I don’t think I’ll have the same results next month!
Mixed weekend here. Fasted until 1 yesterday, had some treats with kids in evening. Today so far ok. Big walk, run done, fasted until 3.30 and having a big chopped salad for dinner!
Trying to focus on positives. No doubt I’ll be 10 tomorrow. That’s fine though!

Smartmove · 21/07/2024 17:14

Ending on 1300 as was hungry. All on plan non processed healthy stuff (but 200 cals of dark choc hu eaten)

has anyone else on here had Hu - is so delicious but exp!

@jelly79 are u still there

Chunkymonkey123
??

Serialcatmum · 21/07/2024 21:02

Never heard of Hu. I’ll have a look…

Yeah ok weekend for me thanks!

I’m actually being total glutton today as I ended up in low cals Friday and Saturday and I really need to ensure I have higher cals at the weekend as that’s how the 800 4 days works. And means I don’t lose my hair as quick (we all know that very low calories results in hair dropping out rapidly!)

So I still have 400 cals left to eat and plan on having some little teats!

Smartmove · 21/07/2024 21:40

@Serialcatmum its dark choc and nut butter. 4 ingredients only. Utterly delicious but expensive!

hollyblueivy · 21/07/2024 22:49

Just looked that chocolate up in Holland and Barrett, agree it is pricey! Glad you enjoyed though.

Food and drink was had out as suspected so may see an increase tomorrow. Also had an ice cream to round the weekend off.

No plans Monday to Thursday to hoping for a very focussed four days.

The usual plan but mostly think the wins will be cutting out the treats and rubbish that has crept back in over the last week.

With summer holidays change of routine and a scattering of annual leave I think I need to be super focussed on the 'normal' days to allow for whatever the other days bring, which may be public lunches, picnics, treats etc.

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 22/07/2024 07:21

10:9:9 so less than a pound to get to the elusive 10:9:0 by Friday morning. Completely doable and will be no one's fault but my own if I don't get there.

Although - I am thinking about ordering some creatine and I have heard it can make you gain 1-2 in water which gets pulled into your muscles. I want to give it a go but don't really want to be fighting against the weight gain. Undecided for the moment.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 22/07/2024 07:31

10.8 here
coming off slowly
catch up later

Bubbles44 · 22/07/2024 07:38

10! Better than the last few Mondays so I’m happy with that. I think I’m ok bouncing up on a Monday as long as I’m not going crazy for no reason. Ideally want to try and keep that bounce up in the 9’s.
@Smartmove I haven’t tried that. Sounds my sort of thing. I have to have the 85% Aldi dark chocolate as it’s individually wrapped! Helps me with portion control 🤦‍♀️.

Smartmove · 22/07/2024 11:53

@Bubbles44 its utterly delicious! And not that processed which is why I have it. And of course dark so lower in carbs. What’s ur goal bubbles? Overall to stay under 10? Or do u have a range?

am so hungry today!!!!! Really want to be 10.5 by end of this weekend as suspect will take a week after that to get back to 10.3 as water be gone and I’ll be dealing with fat again!!

Bubbles44 · 22/07/2024 14:17

Well done @hollyblueivy so close and it’s only Monday. You’ll be there in the next couple of days!!

@Smartmove I think my goal is to be comfortably in the 9’s. After holiday and weekend only go as high as 9.12. I like being 9.9 but it’s probably quite low for me so I struggle to stay there unless I’m totally on it. I’ll strive for that and see where I get with it! Well done for being straight back on it. So hard after holiday!

@Serialcatmum how’s your week looking?will you fast on holiday or just relax?

Smartmove · 22/07/2024 15:47

Closing early at 1200 and low carbs. Ate Hu again!!! Which pushed my cals up!

hollyblueivy · 22/07/2024 21:57

Soup lunch with one slice toasted bread
Spag Bol with pasta and salad dinner
Half hour gym cardio
100 cal choc bar - all this chocolate talk I'm going to Aldi tomorrow to get those individual high percentage choc bars.

Not a bad day.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 22/07/2024 22:30

I ended up having a hot choc and a magnum (don’t ask!)
coming in at 1700
bad day!
