I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Happy Friday, what a strange week. I'm 10:7:3 today but that's such a fluke because of being poorly. I know weight will go back on so I'm going to set 10:9:0 for next Friday to get a bit of balance and work from there. I do feel a lot better with three extra pounds off so would ideally like to try to get/remain that bit lighter if I can. Maybe do the best I can over the next couple of weeks before summer holidays and aim to maintain over the summer. Weight loss is probably not going to happen without leaving myself stressed.

No movement at all this week so will ease myself back into the gym next week.

How are you going to approach the weekend and week ahead?

Hoping @Smartmove has had a smashing week away and look forward to hearing from her when back.

It’s hard when you lose weight cos you’re not well.. the fear of putting it back on sucks but although you’ll put some water weight back in you have also had a significant reduction in cals so like you will lose weight.

Ive got a busy weekend planned. Been bowling tonight (slipped a chicken nugget off my nephew by counted the cals). Volunteering with work tomorrow and we are being fed but I’ll just fast it out.. Sunday is so much more relaxed. Going to the spa but I’ll go to the gym too 😁

hollyblueivy · 13/07/2024 09:22

Your weekend sounds lovely @Serialcatmum, enjoy.

10:8:1 today starting to go up as expected but had a lovely steak dinner last night with sweet potato and it was just so nice to enjoy food again!

I've had a week off the gym so I'm looking forward to easing myself back in next week. Will be doing lighter weights and more reps rather than the heavy stuff and build back up.

I had the best sleep last night too and I'm honestly just feeling grateful for my health today. Sounds a bit dramatic as I was only poorly for a week, but I'll take that bit of gratitude.

Hello, Glad you’re lots better now @hollyblueivy . Hope you’re building up your strength enjoying food again.Sounds like a good plan for next week. What’s your plan with weighing?
@Serialcatmum enjoy your lovely weekend. Hope you can stick to your plans food wise.
I am struggling at the moment with cravings and not feeling fully satisfied. Finding every day a struggle. I’m just going to keep on doing the best I can and try not gain or lose control. So hard! Might aim to weigh on Wednesday. Something to aim towards and hopefully keep me on track.

Serialcatmum · 14/07/2024 22:07

@Bubbles44 thanks- it was a lovely weekend. Really enjoyed the spa gym. So many options compared to my home gym. Wish I could fit a stair master into mine!!!

how did you get in this weekend @Bubbles44 ? Maybe you do need a bit of a break or maybe you need to totally mix things up for a few weeks with a different approach?

did you manage to get a bit more movement I. @hollyblueivy now that you’re feeling better?

Managed to stick to my allocated 1600 weekend cals this week and did a good workout today (Saturday is my rest day). Aiming for my bi weekly 48 hour is fast now so dinner Tuesday night. Just a shame I needed up eating tk dinner so late tonight, but not much I can do about it now! 🤣

hollyblueivy · 15/07/2024 07:58

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

I've been completely off plan with eating out, alcohol and sweet treats.

I made the mistake of stepping on the scales after I got dressed today so I have cancelled off the reading as inaccurate!!!

Monday focus is to get to 10:9:00 by Friday

Usual water, good choices and 3 x workouts.

Need to use as much momentum before the holidays as possible.

Serialcatmum · 15/07/2024 16:28

Hope the thought of holiday spurs you in @hollyblueivy !

It’s my 48hours fast starting today I’m already annoyed about it. 😂. I usually do a “dirty fast” where I also drink diet pop but I’m trying to limit it so stuck to water today and frankly I miss my pop!!!

Bubbles44 · 15/07/2024 17:42

Glad you’re feeling lots better @hollyblueivy hope it was a good weekend. Hope your planning goes well and you get 10.9 this weekend.

Hope the long fast gets a little easier @Serialcatmum . Always sounds scary. Do you have work outs planned or take it easy?

Bad weekend. Was going to not weigh today as knew it would be bad. Glad I did, it was 10.2 so made me realise it’s so easy to creep back up. Feel more in control now!

Serialcatmum · 15/07/2024 18:16

I’m always so amazed you find weighing in helpful. It just makes me feel sad .. it really is the day step for me. Pleased it’s helped give you the boost you want @Bubbles44

Id Love to try a 72 hours fast but my husband is freaked out but the 48 hours and he worries and I don’t want to make him worry. Maybe one day when he’s away for work!!

I just do my usual work outs when I’m fasting. So a 30 minute cardio later (this is a stretch out as I do heavy weights in Sunday) and then Tuesday morning I have a 40 minute mix of cardio/ lighter weights.

I usually feel great when I’m fasting, but today I’m not overly feeling it.

Bubbles44 · 16/07/2024 07:32

10 today. Fast until 6.

Hope fast is going well @Serialcatmum

@hollyblueivy hope the week has started well for you!

Hope fast is going well @Serialcatmum

@hollyblueivy hope the week has started well for you!

Managed to get some sleep which was a nice little treat and always helps!

lighter weights and a bit of cardio this morning and I’ve been trying to have some electrolytes so feeling much better and positive this morning!

have a good day everyone xx

hollyblueivy · 16/07/2024 15:02

Well done on your fast @Serialcatmum hope you've eased into it now. I'm amazed at how long you can go.

@Bubbles44 Hope you're back in the 9's soon enough.

I'm 10:9:9 today. Diet not going great. I've lost a bit of willpower so saying yes to treats too much and craving them too. Haven't worked out yet either. Very slow at getting back into it hopefully it will click soon.

OP posts:
Serialcatmum · 16/07/2024 18:48

Is there anything we can do to help @hollyblueivy ? Do you want suggestions? Do you want a kick ? Do you want us to listen? Xxx

hollyblueivy · 17/07/2024 07:21

@Serialcatmum I really don't know what I need to be honest! If there's anything you think that can help, I'd willingly accept!

I managed to stay at 10:9:9 today but I'm walking a tightrope and feels like a matter of time before a gain is seen. I had pie for dinner last night PIE, I can't remember the last time I allowed myself that. I wonder if I can blame the weather a little bit and part is finding comfort in food?

The weather is supposed to be better the next few days so that should help. I fully intend to get back to the gym today too and hoping that will make a difference.

No major weekend plans so will try to keep alcohol intake low.

Bubbles44 · 17/07/2024 10:40

9.13! Run done fast until 4!

I feel you @hollyblueivy I’m not really clicking at the moment. It’s a slog. Had really good momentum before holiday. Nice surprise when I got back of not gaining much and now it’s so hard and weight is going in the wrong direction! Hope you have a better day today! Keep going and it will get easier! It’s can be hard after illness too as your body must need extra nourishment!

@Serialcatmum is your fast over now? Feeling good?

@Smartmove hope you’re having the best holiday. Can’t remember how long you are away for. Hope it’s fab!

Serialcatmum · 17/07/2024 20:31

@hollyblueivy have you thought about switching things up totally? Maybe even trying A carb free/ keto/ WW? Just for a few weeks to get tou back into the swing?!

@Bubbles44 yep all done! I had my dinner last night (800 cals) and slept like a baby! Another low cal day for me today (800) and tomorrow and upping it again for the weekend ☺️

hollyblueivy · 17/07/2024 20:54

Today has been another fail. I think I just need Monday to swing back around again for a fresh start. I won't go silly on the weekend but I think I'll just go easy on myself for the next few days and draw a line starting Monday.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 18/07/2024 06:45

@Serialcatmum sounds like you’re on a great run at the moment. Do you ever get tempted to weigh after your long fasts and low cal days?

@hollyblueivy sorry it’s been a hard week. Just put it down to the your nasty illness last week and plan for next week.

9.11 here. I’m in a really silly cycle of having a great week and then undoing all my efforts over the weekend and then spending the week getting down again. Need to break it. Hopefully I’ll have a good one this weekend!

hollyblueivy · 18/07/2024 07:24

I would be the same as what @Bubbles44 has suggested to see what impact the fast has had. I wish I didn't have to weigh so often but I feel like if I don't check then I'll put on without realising and have more work to do.

Well done on the 9:11 that's around where you wanted to get to isn't it? I'm also in a cycle of weekend ls undoing good work and at some point will need to work on that.

10:9:5 today so must be doing just enough to broadly maintain. Perhaps I'm not going over on calories but not making very nutritious choices.

OP posts:
Serialcatmum · 18/07/2024 07:47

@Bubbles44 - I had a really bad patch 5 years ago and weighed every morning and evening so I’m very conscious about how often I weigh as it’s not good for my mental health. I also don’t want to see a huge loss after fasting and live through putting loads back on the next day when I do eat 😂

So my next weigh in won’t be till next week. Maybe next weekend when I break up from work!!!

That comes with a bit of trepidation. Getting out of routine is hard isn’t it.

Serialcatmum · 18/07/2024 07:48

You must be pleased with your weigh in @hollyblueivy - I can’t imagine those kind of numbers!!! (And with how tall I am I’d actually be underweight!!!)

hollyblueivy · 18/07/2024 22:24

Burger, chocolate and ice cream to confess to today. No gym and barely any movement. I can feel myself having had enough and gearing up to a good week next week.

I think I'm going to go to the gym tomorrow, just for a super light session to get that first one out the way ready for next week.

I might do a meal plan Sunday-Friday next week to take some of the admin / thinking space each day on what I'm going to have.

OP posts:
Serialcatmum · 19/07/2024 05:20

Sounds like a great plan @hollyblueivy !!

What are your go tos when meal planning? Mine is always bolognaise as you can eat a huge portion with loads of veg for hardly any cals!

I tried crispy beef tonight. It was 360cals and delicious! I found it in the nutracheck app and my husband got it ready with some bare naked rice. I’ve got it again tonight as we just tend to make up a meal for 4nand have over 2 nights.

Off to the gym now and got a busy day planned.

hollyblueivy · 19/07/2024 07:30

Yes I'll include either spag Bol or chilli, there will likely be a chicken dish, steak and maybe fish. All with either veg or salad and will try to keep carb low but won't cut out completely.

10:10:4 today and entirely deserved. Next week is the week I get to 10:9:0!!!!

Movement must feature on my day today. More so for my wellbeing. Hopefully gym as I imagine it will be too hot for a walk.

Have a good day all and a good weekend. Hopefully @Smartmove will be back from soon but hope she is having the best time.

Smartmove · 19/07/2024 12:07
