I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

I have a home gym so I go to the PT to help me lift more/ have a stronger core. Originally as my back kept “going” but now I go to make me feel stronger! I’m not a massive fan or working out with others. My husband jogs with a group on Sundays and o meet them, say hi and then do my own jog and meet them at the end 😂😂

Smartmove · 04/07/2024 16:52

1200 today prob won’t get a huge dropnovernight
must stop eating now!!!!

hollyblueivy · 04/07/2024 17:17

Got hangry today and ate two peanut butter crumpets in addition to breakfast and lunch. Not sure whether to eat dinner now.

Good day here. Working out if I should weigh or not in the morning. See how I feel when I wake up I think!

Serialcatmum · 05/07/2024 05:10

@hollyblueivy wete you stil hungry afterwards? If yes then you defo should eat dinner.

im in the middle of my long fast- 33 hours in. Just getting up to do my workout and then off to work.

hollyblueivy · 05/07/2024 07:24

I ended up having 400 cals of thin pizza and 200 cals ice cream. The calories in total for the day was probably maintenance as I was 10:11:2 again today. Will try (try!!) but to have a good day today as I'd like to see 10:10 something tomorrow.

I'm going for 10:9 next Friday. Plan to be worked out.

Didn't workout yesterday so 2 of 3 workouts done and I'll go later today to get the third in. Won't have time over weekend.

Serialcatmum · 06/07/2024 06:25

Hi all, finished my night on 1250 cals with extra protein and healthy fats included and finally got some sleep last night. Fasting is great and all but the sitting awake at night sucks!!!!

Off to do some water sports in the rain this morning (it was glorious when I booked it!!!) and I’m meeting up with friends tomorrow. I don’t usually eat when we meet (they’re just used to it!!) but might have something light tomorrow but nothing that should really hinder my cals this weekend.

How are we getting in? Got a quiet weekend planned or lots of events? Hope you’re having a brilliant holiday @Smartmove x

Bubbles44 · 06/07/2024 06:47

Morning!!

@Serialcatmum sounds a fun weekend. Enjoy! All the activities will offset the food I’m sure. how long did you fast for in the end? What sort of fasts are you doing when not doing long fasts?

Happy holidays @Smartmove have a great time.

9.12 here, good day yesterday. Busy weekend. Should be ok food wise. Today might not be 100% but tomorrow should be.today I just need to be able to have some cake and not sabotage the whole day for it. That’s the plan and I would be massively happy if I could achieve that.

@hollyblueivy sounds a good goal.hope you find a plan for the week that gets you there!! Have you got a busy weekebd?

Serialcatmum · 06/07/2024 08:33

i do intermittent fasting most days from 9pm till 6ish (but usually earlier like 2/3ish at the weekends if I’m being sociable!) and then I’ve been doing the 48 hours fasts every other week. Only done 7/8 of those though.

hollyblueivy · 06/07/2024 10:38

10:10:8 which has roughly been my Saturday weight for the last few weeks. Will be off plan today and partly off plan tomorrow.

Aim to be 10:9:0 next Friday and then try to maintain that for a couple of weeks.

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 07/07/2024 11:43

10:10:4 today which is a blip in the readings as I've had an upset stomach so need a few days to see where I really am.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 07/07/2024 18:03

Had an ok weekend. Just finding it hard at the moment. Not sure how/if to change tactics. Might not weigh for a few days. Just getting me down not being properly into it. Taking up so much energy thinking about it. I’m hoping to just keep going as best as I can and it’ll click back into place.
Hope everyone has had a good one. Hoping I find some Monday motivation!

Hope you feel better @hollyblueivy

hollyblueivy · 07/07/2024 18:07

I've worked my TDEE out at 1951 so apparently you have to take 500 calories from this number to lose 1lb per week. I'm going to go with 1450 from today to next Friday, so just under a week.

Still not feeling great today so will probably only manage half those calories today.

Hoping to feel better tomorrow so I can start working out again, I want to do 3x decent workouts next week of at least an hour, roughly 40m strength and 20m cardio.

Water always helps so I'll go for 1.6L per day, hopefully more but that as a minimum.

I'm not going to cut anything out or even particularly fast, the focus is going to be on tracking the calories and staying within my limit. (8706 total for 6 days)

Another thing I'll try to do and have not been good at recently is my steps, if I can average 8k over the next 5 days. Can't include today as not moved. I'll be happy.

I think this sounds like a good plan to hopefully get to 10:9:0 by next Friday.

Anything else glaringly obvious that's missing from the plan?

Serialcatmum · 07/07/2024 21:31

Sorry you’re not well @hollyblueivy.

Ok day for me today. I went for 1600 cals, had a rest day as yesterday was a big exercise day.

Back to 800 cals Mon- Thur with no 48 hour fast this week.

not weighing myself till later in the month but feeling good. Managed to go on a. Zip wire yesterday- would have been too heavy for this particular one in May 😂 (to be fair it’s not a very high weight limit especially for a bloke!)

Bubbles44 · 08/07/2024 07:18

Well done on the zip wire @Serialcatmum sounds great. You’re so good at staying away from the scale. Hope you have a good week.
@hollyblueivy good luck this week and getting to 10.9. Sounds a good plan. Water definitely helps! Are you feeling better today?
I’m fed up again of my rut. Just going to do my usual this week and step away from the scale for as long as I can. I’ve done my run. Should fast until about 6 which is needed. Going to make sure I up my strength training. Usually do 20 mins in the evening but haven’t been so good lately so want to add that. Weigh wise I just want to be 9.11. I feel comfortable at that weight, not going to push to get below!

hollyblueivy · 08/07/2024 11:51

@Serialcatmum The zip wire sounds fun, never done that before.

@Bubbles44 I'm sure you will be back at 9:11 in no time, keep doing what you're doing.

Still not 100% so no steps or workout today.

Was 10:9:9 but that because I barely have an appetite. I'm thinking it will spike as soon as I get fully better and start eating again.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 08/07/2024 20:20

Good day here. Might end up weighing tomorrow. Although I’m guessing 10 after weekend but I’m on it again so can deal with it.
Are you daily weighing this week @hollyblueivy ? Never can decide if it’s the best thing to do!

hollyblueivy · 09/07/2024 07:32

I'm back to daily weighing, but once I feel like my weight has settled I'll try to leave it a couple of days between weighs.

10:7:9 today - purely due to being unwell so expect this to increase possibly even tomorrow as I'm feeling lots better now.

I don't think I'll be able to work out yet but might try a short walk later.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 09/07/2024 07:50

Glad you’re feeling better @hollyblueivy . Nice to see a lower weight even if temporary. Hope it’s a good day!

10 here, a bit deflated as keep bouncing back up. Need to have a few good weekends and be a more consistent!! Although School holidays are so soon!

Fast until 6 and keep going! I know how to do it I just need to do it!

Serialcatmum · 09/07/2024 14:40

pleased You’re feeling better @hollyblueivy Make you’re you’re bringing lots to rehydrate!

it’s hard when we can’t get quite to the weight we want to be isn’t it but just think what we could be if we weren’t doing this!!!

Much the same for me here. Fasted till 6 last night and will do again tonight and I have cottage pie again with a big salad and broccoli. Managed to do a gym session last night and again this morning and off to PT tomorrow. It’s terribly boring really but consistency is key (they say…)

Serialcatmum · 10/07/2024 21:18

Hi all,

I did do a sneaky weigh in today (I just weight when I fancy it, and I fancied it!) and was really pleased with the results.

My PT session was a good one, funny how some days you feel stronger than others isn’t it!

cottage pie again tonight as I’d bulk prepped and we just had it 3 nights in a row.

how’s everyone else getting on?

hollyblueivy · 10/07/2024 22:12

Ah that's fab @Serialcatmum Would you say you're on a good run at the moment?

Agree workouts can feel so different depending on rest, sleep, fuel, hydration etc. glad you had a good session.

I've only had a bit of toast today as not as better as I thought. Should be ok by tomorrow, looking forward to being able to eat food again!

OP posts:
Serialcatmum · 10/07/2024 22:34

Oh no @hollyblueivy - I thought you were all better!!! That sucks. Just think how glorious that first proper meal will be. Got my fingers crossed for you !

I’ve lost a stone since the 5th June which I’m totally amazed by. Defo a good run. Really hope it carries on like this. I don’t necessarily need to be losing a stone in just over a month, but I’d like to continue to stay motivated. Saying that, I work in education and it won’t be long till the summer holidays and I have 3 holidays in that time and then another 2 holidays before Christmas 😂 so I also need to be realistic. I want to still have a life whilst working on my weight.

hollyblueivy · 10/07/2024 22:44

I thought I was but I wasn't.

Your approach and attitude sounds perfectly reasonable and realistic, it's a sustainable lifestyle change whilst living at the same time. Your consistency is paying off.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 11/07/2024 17:39

Well done @Serialcatmum that’s amazing! Such a good loss. You must feel great. You do seem to follow a good fasting schedule that’s working great. I know what you mean about the holidays coming up. I’m sure you’ll navigate it just fine. I love how you don’t weigh your self often and aren’t obsessed with it.

Ah @hollyblueivy . Sorry it’s been such a rough illness. Hope you’ve been able to take time off to recover and look after yourself. Hope you’re over the worst!

9.12 here. Good week. Hopefully see it through into the weekend!!
