I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

Morning everyone,

managed to stick to allocated. Cals for a loss (1600) Friday and Saturday and had a planned off plan day yesterday and finished the day on 2500. Tricky to keep calories low when you start the day with a Toby carvery breakfast 🫢. My husband has wanted for one for about 2 months and honestly I don’t want my earring habits to mean he never gets to do things he really enjoys too! But I counted it all and I’m back to IF today and 800 cals. I’m planning a longer water fast later in the week as I don’t want to do them too often but also really love the high they give me!

sounds like everyone had a good weekend and feels comfortable with decisions. That’s a a great way to start w new month!

Bubbles44 · 01/07/2024 18:01

Good day here. Managed to have a couple of chocolates after dinner and not gorge on more. Small wins.
Fast now until 6pm tomorrow.
Hope it’s been good for everyone!

Serialcatmum · 01/07/2024 21:36

I finished my day in 805. Managed to fit in a cardio workout too so I’m happy with that! Alarm is set for 5 am for my morning exercise and another 800 cal day planned for tomorrow 😄
well done @Bubbles44 - those few chocs can really turn into 1000 cals so quickly!

Bubbles44 · 01/07/2024 21:46

That’s great @Serialcatmum . Hope tomorrow goes well. Do you feel full after such low cals? Enjoy your early work out.

Yes it really can, I never enjoy chocolate because I always have too much and ruin it. I really want to work on this and not dread any event that involves a slice of cake thinking that whole day is destroyed and I might as well eat every in sight!

Serialcatmum · 01/07/2024 22:03

I know what you’re saying @Bubbles44 I’m very much all or nothing. The whole day can go down the drain after a piece of cake cos “well I’ve already ate that so might as well” mentality kicks in. Think that’s why IF works for me.

yes I’m very full after the 800 cals as I eat one massive bulky meal a day when I’m doing 800. So tonight I had bolognaise (500g with loads of veg in it) with a proper full salad, broccoli and some of the barenaked rice cooked with spinach, mushrooms and cheese. I also had a stuffed mushroom on the side tonight! Finished off with a pack of nik naks and a meringue bar makes for a filling dinner. Came to bed full and happy 😁

Bubbles44 · 02/07/2024 07:27

9.10. No run today. Fast until 6! Hungry already 😬

hollyblueivy · 02/07/2024 07:28

Ate light all day but was hungry so overate at dinner.

10:13:7 today slight increase on yesterday and too close to 11's for a Tuesday.

No gym yesterday either I was shattered.

New day to try again today.

Morning girls !
oh my lord I was so hungover yest was awful. I had the best day but those girls honestly!!! As a result I’ve had an entirely carb and booze fuelled weekend and I’m 10.8 again!!!!!!!
going to do an ultra low cal next 3/4 days and try get below 10.5 before my holiday which is my maintence.
Catch up later

Serialcatmum · 02/07/2024 18:10

Hope you had the best time @Smartmove ! Always hard when you know you’ve for a holiday coming up too!

got up and did a workout this morning, broke my fast after 22 hours with some seaweed and got spag bol for dinner!

Smartmove · 02/07/2024 18:27

Ending on 1000 and a 2 licks of my kids icecream! Did 6000 steps so not great but could have been none!
tmrw I have my Pt as I’m away on Friday

@Serialcatmum well done on your weight loss over past 2 weeks that’s fab! yes old me would have thought - forget it let’s just deal with it post holiday but instead I’m trying to get these water bloat pounds off inbetween so post holiday it’s not a nightmare

hoping for 10.7 tmrw, then 10.6 Thursday and 10.5 Friday which sounds like a lot but it’s all alcohol related retention! I’ve prob gained 1.5 pounds of fat from my 10.3.5 though but will deal with that post holiday! But want to leave at least in my upper maintence weight

Bubbles44 · 02/07/2024 20:52

Good day. Tiny bit of sourdough but not too much!

Hope you had the best birthday @Smartmove well done for getting straight back on it today! Great mindset. Nice going on holiday feeling good in yourself too. What an exciting week!

@Serialcatmum well done for getting up. I hit the snooze this morning. Won’t be able to go tomorrow either!

@hollyblueivy hope you managed to have a better day today, if not there is always tomorrow!

Smartmove · 03/07/2024 07:04

10.6
another good day needed today!

Bubbles44 · 03/07/2024 07:20

9.11! No run. Should get to go tomorrow. Fast until 4!

hollyblueivy · 03/07/2024 08:14

10:11:7 - had a good day yesterday and it's showed quickly for once!

Had a workout yesterday, just strength no cardio. Will workout again today and do some cardio also.

Smartmove · 03/07/2024 17:15

Ok day today
was at a work meeting and stuck to cals but higher carbs (in form of salad and fruit)
hoping for 10.5 tmrw

hollyblueivy · 03/07/2024 18:58

Done well with food today, lots of protein. Had a good hour workout with strength and cardio. Had loads of water today too. Hoping to see a further drop tomorrow.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 03/07/2024 20:14

I want chocolate

not going to!!!!! I’m in my fast!!!! It’s the carbs today which is doing it I’m sure. Must Stay strong did a good PT session too

hollyblueivy · 03/07/2024 20:32

Stay strong you can do it!

Are your session with your PT doing the same moves every week or so they change it up each time? I'm a creature of habit so would prefer a set routine that I can get better at and hopefully stronger. I think I'm going to wait until January and treat myself in the new year as I think I struggled to get back into the swing of things after Christmas this year and it will hopefully get me back into it more quickly.

Bad day! Fasted until 4 and then kept eating rubbish. Such a bad cycle of this! Ahh!

Smartmove · 03/07/2024 21:55

Ahhh sorry @Bubbles44 just get back tmrw. It’s normal to need more food some days! Just forget about it!

so I do it at home so I’m limited as to what I do - so not much mixing up. But today I did it in gym as had a later start to work and did totally diff things. I only have one more session though!!! I’m really sad about it coz I think it’s really helped me but I just can’t keep affording it. I’m buying some dumbbells and going to do Caroline girvan videos people talk about

Serialcatmum · 03/07/2024 22:13

Hi all, sorry you ended up having a rough day @Bubbles44 that one of the main reasons I do super long fasts. Once I start eating it’s hard to stop!!! But it’s done with now, focus on tomorrow.

Finished the night at 789 cals and also accessed a PT session this evening. I’m going for a super long fast again from 8pm tonight so planning on not eating again now till 8ish Friday with a workout Friday morning.

My PT is quite reasonable luckily and does me a deal since I bit 12 at a time @Smartmove might be worth seeing if they have any offers on. There are some good workouts on YouTube if that’s the way you end up going. I got loads of my weights for the home gym from Facebook market place. Bargain.

Smartmove · 04/07/2024 07:05

10.4.8 so back in maintenance range. Love to be 10.4 tmrw which would mean despite up and downs I’ve maintained over this celebratory period.
holiday tmrw though!

hollyblueivy · 04/07/2024 07:18

@Smartmove You've done so well at the lower end of the 10's. Birthday and holiday in the space of a week is a lot so go easy on yourself. Have the best holiday!

@Serialcatmum That's a good idea to buy in bulk if you get a discount. What benefits do you feel you get from PT rather than working out on your own?

@Bubbles44 New day today! Is there any connection between when you run in the morning and what your eating is like that day?

10:11:2 here so slight drop as I had hoped. Would like to see 10:10 something tomorrow and I am going to set a target to be 10:9:0 by next Friday so 2lb off from now. Not sure on the plan to do it yet as I haven't lost 2lb (or another really) in ages so I clearly cant just do what I have been doing!

Smartmove · 04/07/2024 07:39

Thanks @hollyblueivy it’s my 40th so I feel really positive that entering ur 40s doesn’t mean u get fat and flabby! I would love to drop a few more but for now I’m working out how to enjoy life and maintain for a month or two as I have a lot going on (celebration wise!)

you have done well to maintain and keep below your 11. U know u can drop so just stay focussed it will happen!

Bubbles44 · 04/07/2024 07:40

That’s great @Smartmove . Well done for dropping nearly 4 pounds in a couple of days. Amazing. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
@hollyblueivy great that you’re dropping. Hope you can change things up slight to get your drop.
@Serialcatmum well done for keeping cals so low. Don’t know how you guys do it!

Ah I don’t know. It’s not even the weight that bothers me when I have the sugar binge as that will come off. It’s the guilt and knowing the damage I must be doing to my body when I have so much. Would love to be sugar free but just don’t know how to do it. Seems so restrictive, but if I’m honest I think it would work for me! Ahh.
New day. Run done.
