I've over indulged this weekend - no fruit or veg and feeling bloated and heavy. Will see out the bank holiday weekend and weigh early next week - getting back on track.

Need to work on getting to goal to focus on maintenance.

Hope your weekends are going well.

@hollyblueivy yes I think I’m going back to low cal for a few days to get it off. Aiming for 1200 as still too hungry to do any less! The weekend was a sugar and drink fest so it’s deserved (I really enjoyed it though!)
yoghurt and fruit eaten
tuna salad
Salmon and . Avacado
boiled egg for a snack if needed

hoping to be 10.6 tmrw

Smartmove · 27/06/2024 16:25

Ending on 1200. Finally full! Must not eat more!!!!!
fingers crossed for tmrw I feel so bloated!

Bubbles44 · 27/06/2024 17:35

@hollyblueivy Yeah more or less. I think if I don’t do it first thing I’d never go. No time to talk myself out of it in the morning. You should try and commit to it one day and see if you like it. I like that’s it’s so quiet out and always feels an achievement.

@Smartmove glad you’ve had a good day. Hopefully the scales will make you happy tomorrow in time for your fun weekend.

I’m just breaking now. Healthy food planned but reckon I’ll gain a little tomorrow as I’ve lost 3 pounds in 3 days. Hope I can be 9.11 on Saturday!

Is it your long fast today @Serialcatmum

Serialcatmum · 27/06/2024 17:40

Hi all,

well I’m just tootling along here really. Just the usual intermittent fast today (actually a bit shorter as I didn’t have my dinner till midnight last night!). I do the longer fast every other week so I’ll do 48hours next week.

I have a rest day planned today and I’ll be doing some work till later as I’m a bit behind at the mo but I’ll be up early for the gym!

im away Saturday as I have a gig in London. Think the plan is to get up and do my Saturday exercise, fast till lunch time and then have a salad box. We think we will have dinner out so I’ll alllw myself to go up to 2400 cals as that’s apparently my maintenance cals. Then back on it Sunday with 1600!

3 pound in 3 days is amazing!!!!

Serialcatmum · 28/06/2024 05:58

Morning all!

Feeling a bit better for being in the gym this morning. I totally use exercise to help me keep on top of my mental health and wellbeing so I panic when I have to miss an exercise. A about 6 years ago I had a little break down (I mean it helped me lose 7 stone but it was not good!£and exercise was one of the strategies I used to turn things around.

Managed ro do the 800 cals for 4 days and back into the weekend with some
more flexibility .

What’s everyone’s weekend looking like? Busy / chilled ?

xx

Bubbles44 · 28/06/2024 07:00

@Serialcatmum not proper pounds. Weekend bloat pounds. I never drop weight fast. Shows how greedy I was!
That’s great you’ve done your exercise. Hope you have a positive day. Sorry to hear about your breakdown. Hope things are lots better now, yes agree exercise can totally change things around. Great motivation to keep going. Is it the gig this weekend?

9.11 here. Good week and it’s not felt too hard which is a relief. Last week was horrible. Didn’t run today as needed the extra sleep. Will do some walking.
Big test for me as not in work! Need a good weekend!! Busy but not food busy.

Hope you drop today @Smartmove . Is it brunch tomorrow?

Smartmove · 28/06/2024 07:14

10.6 today
so slow!!!!
catch up later. Brunch Sunday so can aim for 10.4 before that

Smartmove · 28/06/2024 07:19

10.6.3 actually
even slower!

hollyblueivy · 28/06/2024 08:02

@Serialcatmum Sorry to hear you went through that. Couldn't agree more about the way exercise makes you feel, for me diet and exercise really does go hand in hand.

@Bubbles44 It sounds like you're firmly back on the right track and no danger of veering off the weekend which is good.

@Smartmove Fingers crossed for a bit more off by Sunday. Have a fab brunch, I much prefer a brunch these days rather than an evening out! Is it for your birthday?

I'm 10:10:8 today which is the same as I was last Saturday, so I've maintained this week which is fine as that was the plan anyway for the next couple of weeks.

Only have plans on Saturday but involves both food and drink so will try to be on my best behaviour today and Sunday.

Glad it's Friday the week has gone quite quick, have a good one.

Morning girls

@Serialcatmum sorry u have been through a through a difficult time but I’m so glad have a found a way to navigate through it.

@Bubbles44 well done! We all have thougher weeks ur back to baseline!

@hollyblueivy well done maintaining - how have u found it? I’m worried about this stage!

yes so Sunday is a bottomless brunch and the the Friday after I leave for my all inclusive 10 days holiday - help me!!!!!!!!

my plan is to get to the 10.4s for Sunday . I think I should make 10.5s tmrw and then one more drop on Sunday.

id like to leave for my all inclusive being back at 10.3.5 (as will take me a few days to get back to the 4s after brunch!) I know it’s all water weight but I feel so bloated! I don’t like 10.6 at all!!!

I’ve also not exercised for 10 days apart from wed am and feel like I’ve gotten all flabby. Can’t wait for the PT to arrive and to get back into it. Will work out sat and Sunday too.

i then want to maintain until end of august/loosing my all inslusive weight/navigating the summer holidays and spend sept/oct getting to 10.1 and then i promise im stopping and maintain !!!

Bubbles44 · 28/06/2024 14:24

@hollyblueivy that’s fab how well you are maintaining and having the odd treat. Must be great being a little more relaxed and the scale not going crazy! I don’t think I’ll ever master this. I’m too extreme!

@Smartmove lovely. Sounds like a great few weeks. Hopefully things won’t go so crazy with the scale but just enjoy as much as you can. Hope you can have a good week before hols and you’ll feel great!

@jelly79 hope all going well with your holiday planning. Must be coming up very soon!

All good here. Broke at 12.30. Usual. Will have veg curry and yogurt with kids and close at 5!(I hope)!

Smartmove · 28/06/2024 15:31

I’m closing at 4 today as have a busy afternoon of kids activities!
will be in at 1200 with a hour PT session
pleased with that
aiming for 1000 tmrw and hoping scales moved but I think I may have some serious DOMS so may not see the move I hope for!

Smartmove · 28/06/2024 21:28

Fought the urge for Friday night treats
well done me!!!
tmrw no social plans should make it though the day ok
my legs are killing!!!

hollyblueivy · 28/06/2024 23:07

The day has been reasonable but I haven't counted the days calories. I think my average over the last week has been about 1500.

Had a good workout and feeling like a lot of the bloating has gone so hoping to be the same or less in the morning.

What did you do with your PT @Smartmove ?

OP posts:
Smartmove · 29/06/2024 07:20

I’m 10.5.4 today
last weekend is taking its time to leave me!!
af arrived a week early which may explain why I kept eating sugar till Wednesday! I can hardly walk so maybe have some DOMS weight too

love PT but can’t keep affording it have 2 more sessions then will buy some dumbbells and fly solo!

Bubbles44 · 29/06/2024 08:36

That’s great @Smartmove hope you get 10.4 for tomorrow’s brunch.

9.10 Good day yesterday.
Long run done and a busy morning planned. Hopefully fast until 3.30ish.

Hope you get a drop @hollyblueivy sounds like a good Friday.

Smartmove · 29/06/2024 16:06

Weekends r though staying strong
did a gentle workout and 1200 cals I think today as long as I don’t keep snacking!

Smartmove · 29/06/2024 16:19

Well I just ate a lot of dark choc. So it’s gonna be 1500 which means I won’t drop much overnight!

Smartmove · 29/06/2024 17:28

fail and bday tmrw!!!!!!!!!!!!
start again Monday and then go away!!!

Bubbles44 · 29/06/2024 18:28

So tough! You tried and have done a lot better than if you hadn’t tried @Smartmove . Enjoy tomorrow, have a lovely birthday brunch and Monday is a new day. The shock of my weight on Tuesday made me drop 4 pounds by Saturday. So if you haven’t got too much on you might have a really good week and if not deal with it after holidays!

Good one here. Kids got loads of chocolates today though. Managed to avoid. But there is lots of it. I can’t have a weak moment until it’s gone!

Serialcatmum · 29/06/2024 19:40

Was really pleased with a sneaky weigh in today- 5.5 off in 2 weeks. Happy with that.

Imo away today. Totally planned unlike last time so I don’t have a little freak out. Had a filling cavery early afternoon and then I’ve got a subway at the hotel. Planning on sticking to 2300/2400 as that’s apparently my maintenance calories.

well done for resisting the sweeties @Bubbles44.

birthdays are not for calorie counting @Smartmove hope you have a great day and enjoy every second of it xxx

hollyblueivy · 30/06/2024 22:08

@Serialcatmum That's a great loss, did you feel like you had lost? Well done keep going.

@Smartmove HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🥳 Hope you've enjoyed your brunch and celebrations.

I was 10:10:4 yesterday and 10:12:3 today. I haven't eaten the best foods today so not sure what to expect tomorrow but will be back at it hopefully making some good choices in the week and getting some exercise in.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 01/07/2024 07:14

Well done @Serialcatmum thats a great loss. You must feel fab! Hope you enjoyed the gig!

@Smartmove hope you had a great brunch and a great birthday.

9.11 here. Good weekend which I needed. Lots of steps and all good food apart from 2 chocolate’s before I closed my window yesterday.

Run done and will fast until 4.

Hope everyone is ready for a good week.

hollyblueivy · 01/07/2024 07:29

Well done on your run @Bubbles44 do you go out every morning and how far do you run? I am really really going to try to get out at least one morning this week.

10:13:2 today - I can't expect to eat and drink what I did on Saturday and Sunday (although no alcohol Sunday) and expect anything different. It was a very good weekend though and well worth it.

Aim this week will be to get to somewhere in the 10:10 region by Friday to continue broadly on maintenance. If I can then I may set a goal for a small loss next week.

Broad plan is lunch and dinners only, snacking on fruit if needed, focus on protein, plenty of water and workout at least three times.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 01/07/2024 07:46

Sounds a good plan for the week @hollyblueivy .
I try and get out 3-4 times during the week. It’s definitely easier in the lighter months. I do 5K. Just puts me in a better headspace. Hope you enjoy it if you manage it. Once you’re up, you’re up is what I tell myself!
