FastingPhilly · 27/03/2024 10:19

Right so I got down to 13 stone 3 last year, and now am 14 stone 5. So annoyed with myself.

I am away on a holiday 24th April and want to lose a stone in 4 weeks through Fast800. I know I can do it but need that kick up the bum to start.

So am going to weigh in and post everyday for 4 weeks.

CW: 14 stone 5
GW: 13stone 5

Today I will have -
Black coffee x 2
1 cup of Bovril - 22 calories
1 Babybel - 50 calories
1:30pm - 2 eggs 2 slices bacon = 240 calories
Prawn curry, cauliflower rice, green bean, broccoli and cauli = 500 calories

And we're off!

Hi @djivdfj ! Glad to have you here. I work at home too, which is great, but means more effort to actually get my backside out of the house and walk 😁
Well done on losing half a stone already 👊

Thank you @FastingPhilly ! I actually lost a bit more and put it back on over Xmas
Just taken the dog and done 3200 steps - I need to increase over time. Got chronic illness also and I'm sure the walking helps overall but some days better than other for actually doing it. Too easy to wimp out!

Love be everyone's food plans, really helpful

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 06/04/2024 18:56

SW 14st8
CW 14st7

Yesterday and today calories just over 1000 each.

I am starting to feel less hungry in general and can go for longer stretches without eating. I'm also drinking lots more water which is always a good thing.

I'm going on my treadmill every day - even if it's only for half hour (like this morning).

Yesterdays steps 14927
Today so far 10895

Tomorrow steps should be higher - long dog walk in morning, need to mooch around Currys for a new fridge freezer (oh the excitement!) and meeting a friend for a walk in the afternoon.

Alainlechat · 07/04/2024 09:14

Morning Ladies

So no weigh in today but will resume tomorrow. Stuck to my plan yesterday although more carbs than usual which might have indicated a gain on the scale..

Anyway, plan for today:

C210k day 6/43 - done
Eating between 12 and 8.
Coffees not included in that..
Fage and fruits for lunch
Jacket potato/beans for this evening
Carry on the gardening/weeding while the weather is bright.

Countdown 5 weeks today till Spain.

FastingPhilly · 07/04/2024 09:47

Well done on your loss @MrJollyLivesNextDoor and those steps are amazing! Enjoy your Currys mooching - I would be very excited re a new fridge freezer 😁

Excellent plan @Alainlechat , I lost more doing gardening last week though less steps, I suppose we are using more/different muscles and burning off calories too. Hope the day keeps sunny when you are!

Weigh in today -
27/3 SW 14st 5
7/4 CW 13st 10
Total - 9lbs in 11 days

another 1lb gone. Did 10.5k steps yesterday, not sure I will do as many today

OP posts:
FastingPhilly · 07/04/2024 19:46

2 x babybels 145

10g flaxeed 50
yogurt 100
fruit 45

swede 15
peas 20
King Prawns 210

Nick's PNut 175

Milk 50

Total 750

I will end on about 6k steps, though I may go out for a walk before I turn in.

How's everyone's day gone?

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 07/04/2024 20:30

@Alainlechat I would so love to be going to Spain in 5 weeks! What a good motivator 💪

@FastingPhilly 9lbs in 11 days is immense!! Get you! 👏👏

I am the same weight this morning 14st 7 - I may have to resort to eating dust 😄
I have only consumed 780 cals and steps currently at 21078 today so fingers crossed for downward movement soon.

Currys done, fridge freezer bought - why does a FF require WiFi pray tell? Even tech mad teenage DS was like 'whoa cool but erm why'?

I am currently making a vat of tomato based sauce which I will eat with salad for lunch at work with a sprinkling of grated cheese, and with veg and salmon or chicken or jacket potato or whatever for dinner:

Tinned toms
Passata
Garlic
Onion
Courgette
Red and green peppers
Basil Thyme Oregano
Mushrooms
No oil, just all simmering very slowly. Smells lush 🙂

DH had a sausage roll and vanilla latte on our walk this morning but I did not partake. Well I had a small swig of the latte and OMG it tasted off the scale sugary! I guess when you cut down in sugar the taste of it is magnified when you do have it...?

FastingPhilly · 08/04/2024 09:10

Your fridge freezer @MrJollyLivesNextDoor with a WiFi reminds me of Modern Family when Cam and Mitch get one, and "she" starts becoming part of the family and starts talking to them about their problems 😂but seriously - how does that work that it has WiFi?? Am back in the dark ages with mine, I have not heard of this!

That vat of tomato sauce sounds amazing. I need to do that as have been craving a cheesy/ tomatoey pasta.

Stayed the same today -

27/3 14st 5
8/4 13st 10
Total - 9lbs

Will have loads to drink today to try and flush it all out 😁and get metabolism going a bit - hoping for another 1lb by the 2 week mark on Wednesday.

OP posts:
Alainlechat · 08/04/2024 09:11

@MrJollyLivesNextDoor I am looking forward to Spain but what I didn't mention is the that it's a work trip and with a fit bunch wanting to hike/cycle or go for a morning run to kick the day off! More incentive to get myself in shape..

SW 13.2
CW 12:11.4

Pleased with that as had more carbs than usual this weekend.

Today will be a more sedentary day

Dog walk - done
WFH
Hairdressers this evening
Usual 1k calories and eating noon till 8 if back from the hairdressers in time.

Thinking ahead there are 4 family gatherings between now and Spain that I have to navigate. Likely I'll go over my calories those days so need to be motivated to get back on track after the planned blips and not fall off the wagon!

Good luck to everyone this week!

TinasLostHerSparkle · 08/04/2024 09:56

Good morning ladies.
I have been trying to exercise every day. A long walk or a little half hour workout. I have managed something about 5 days this week.

I have been trying to stick to under 1000 calories a day.

@MrJollyLivesNextDoor a trip to Spain sounds wonderful!

SW 1 April 12St 6
CW 8 April 11St 9

FastingPhilly · 08/04/2024 10:29

Well done @MrJollyLivesNextDoor excellent loss! Family gatherings are tough aren't they, cant be avoided but people want to feed everyone up or else it is an insult to the host (is that just my family 😂)

@TinasLostHerSparkle - Wow - you have lost 11lbs in a week???! How?! Share your tips I beg you 🙏

OP posts:
malachitegreen · 08/04/2024 11:22

can you have a start over? asking for a friend......

Whatonearth2021 · 08/04/2024 14:26

Hi everyone - I think I’ve found my tribe! May I join you please? I’ve had a very stressful year and managed to gain nearly 3 stone…I really have 4 to lose. My 50th in Aug - would love to have lost a couple by then. Will weigh in tomorrow. Would love to join you and keep myself accountable. I did this back in 2019 and lost 4st but regained it all. This time I need to accept it’s a permanent change.

TinasLostHerSparkle · 08/04/2024 16:21

@FastingPhilly
Honestly I have been calorie counting and weighing everything I eat. I write it down in a notebook every time I eat/drink something.

I try and walk at least 10,000 steps or do some exercise every day. Even just 20-30 minutes.

I have never monitored how much I eat in this way before. I always thought it was too much effort. Every time I look in the mirror I hate what I see ☹️
I really hope it works so I can look and feel less like a fat sausage this summer x

Alainlechat · 08/04/2024 17:10

@TinasLostHerSparkle Congrats on the great start! I swear in my younger years I just used to want to lose weight and I did. But these last years it's needs some concerted effort to I get the pounds off!

FastingPhilly · 08/04/2024 18:03

@malachitegreen 😂, I too have a "friend" like that ... 😉

Hi @Whatonearth2021 welcome! Great to have you with us 😀

@TinasLostHerSparkle I agree, writing down everything makes such a difference. That is why I write it on here (unless there is another profiterolegate episode 😫) . Your loss shows what a good idea it is!

SW 14st 8
CW 14st 5 - at last I've dropped from 14st 7!

Todays steps 15968

Cals - approx 1300. A bit high but I have been starving and hangry all day today so I think I've done well.

CatMum79 · 08/04/2024 22:11

Hi Ladies,
I may be a little late to this, but have a month til a girls trip to Mauritius ans really want to shift a few llbs. I'll weight in tomorrow and start my first fast immediately!!! Love a crew to keep the focus going!!

Resisterance · 08/04/2024 22:22

My friend sent me some pics she took of me over the weekend. I hadn't realised how large I'd got for my frame.

Today I started eating conciously.i had:

a very small cup of muesli with blueberries and soya yoghurt

3 x cups of tea ( half a sugar)

1 x bowl of miso soup

1x apple

1 x orange

Beef stir fry ( homemade and leftover from yesterday).

Vegetable tempura ( Side dish)

2 x cups of lemon, ginger and turmeric tea

Lots of water

I was a size 8 until lockdown and then just tired, peri menopausal and fed up plus working from home so no exercise which means I'm now a size 14-16.

I want to lose a stone before July when I turn 50.

Resisterance · 08/04/2024 22:25

VerlynWebbe · 01/04/2024 11:10

Oh good, lots more people!

One thing I really like about Fast 800 (and then 5:2) is that it totally resets my appetite. When I did it before, I found that I actually couldn't eat a meal the same size as I had been. It took about 8 days to not feel absolutely ravenous but after that I was rarely even hungry. And then I was losing half a pound a day, then half a pound every couple of days...and then with blips it got less easy, of course. But I got down to a much more manageable weight and felt a lot better. I feel like a giantess right now! How have I let this happen to myself? 😭

Really hoping this happens for me soon!!

FastingPhilly · 08/04/2024 22:52

Whoop whoop @MrJollyLivesNextDoor ! so pleased to hear of your loss 🎉
