@Bubbles44 its so hard!!! I think like me u have lost a good chunk of weight and so our body is adapted and needs even less now we smaller. What’s ur bmi? Mine isn’t even that low so no idea why it’s so hard atm! Mine is 24…..

I ate some (all the) dark choc so gonna be 1000 today if I have the tiniest meal.

Waiting for DD to wake so I can at least get 10000 steps in today or more so maybe I can afford a slightly more hearty dinner.

i am full and satisfied though.

weigh in tmrw x

@hollyblueivy hope tmrw brings a drop x

Smartmove · 30/04/2024 17:22

ending on 1200 was hoping for lower in lead up to holiday but was hungry (actually totally dark choc fault!)
not hopeful for tmrw
did my steps though

Bubbles44 · 30/04/2024 18:51

@Smartmove I know it’s so hard when so stuck at a weight. Thinking back to last year when I got down to 9.7, I stopped the weekend treats. Once I got there I could indulge a little more again. Just don’t know where I found the motivation. But then Christmas happened as and ruined it. BMI is 21. Really hope you get a drop tomorrow, sounds like you have pretty much stuck to plan!
I’ve had a good day. Good fast. Light meals. Hope into the 9’s tomorrow.
@hollyblueivy hope it all went to plan. Hopefully you’ll get a big drop tomorrow

@jelly79 hope your week is going well and you’re in the zone.

jelly79 · 30/04/2024 21:44

I don't know where the zone is now but thank you for checking in

I am eating more protein and lots of water but just feel I am eating too much

Today
HIIT ✔️
11am 2 crumpets, egg, avocados
Greek yoghurt and protein powder
4pm steak and tomatoes
2 tangerines
Aero
Boost

:(

hollyblueivy · 30/04/2024 22:12

Good to hear from you @jelly79

Are you getting a lot of miles in? Running torches calories and will make you hungry, could it be that?

Lunch and dinner on plan. Went back for seconds on the dinner though. Exercise just a walk. Feel a bit bloated so not expecting too much from the scales tomorrow.

Good luck to anyone braving the scales in the morning.

Bubbles44 · 01/05/2024 06:55

@jelly79 you’ll get back into it. It’s just cycles. Sometimes you just can’t get full. You’re eating good foods and exercising so keep going!
@Smartmove and @hollyblueivy really hope you get a pleasant surprise this morning.

9.13 this morning. Didn’t get up for my run but should get over 20K steps and will eat at 4ish. Glad I’m out of the house all day. Already hungry! Just gaining and losing the same few pounds here. Tiring but at least there is some control with it and it’s not just spiralling. Without fasting it definitely would be!

Wow you are doing great! I'd love to see the 9s but I am fearing the 11s

How hard is it to stay on the path and lose a stone! I wish I could flick the switch!

I'll track my calories today I think! Exercise done! Just having an MCT coffee in the garden

I have 10 weeks to holiday and I know how much better I would feel just having 7lbs off!

I'm only getting 1 long run and 1 short run a week but doing 3 HIITS - I feel like I need to up my runs but I don't have the child free time to get out in the mornings!

You sound like you are on the right track too lovely! Well done x

Smartmove · 01/05/2024 07:05

10.7.5 today
so dropped 1-1.5 this week but not back to 10.7!!!!

I think I could do it for Friday but won’t make 10.6

day today
Puriton shake
bacon veg
paneer and veg

hollyblueivy · 01/05/2024 07:24

Well done @Smartmove and @Bubbles44 for seeing the numbers going down! I know it's tedious when you're cycling the same pounds in and off. Perhaps the best way to look at it is that it could be more pounds going on if you weren't even trying. Easier said than done though.

10:13:2 for me today. I don't know why I thought 4lb would just drop off me this week. Harsh reality is drastic measures are needed for that and I'm not prepared to fast that much. Could also be the pasta from yesterday hindering the results.

Today I will try to go low carb.
Soup for lunch - no cheese or bread with it
Something like salmon and veg for dinner
Snack on fruit only
Coffee / water
Will try for a 90 min workout. Half weights and half cardio

If there isn't a drop tomorrow then I may push for a fast but will see.

Do you guys follow anyone that you think is a good influence for what we are trying to do? Eat well, be healthy etc?

I like Whitney Simmons, James Smith, Cici Coleman and just started following Adam Aveling

Cici had been doing this hard challenge and she is just starting a new one for May. I won't follow her rules but I may have a ponder today about whether I could create a little challenge for myself for this month to help keep me focused and on track.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 01/05/2024 07:56

I like ESG fitness

she talks a lot of things to change in ur mind to be successful in loosing fat . The mindset to not overeat stay on track socialise meet you goals etc

and I have developed some of those skills which I need to keep working on

the trip this weekend will be a challenge to put some of things in practice

Smartmove · 01/05/2024 07:57

Sorry @hollyblueivy she doesn’t really talk about recipes etc if that’s what u meant? More to do with mind shifting

hollyblueivy · 01/05/2024 08:08

Oh yes I follow her too.

Also I like Henley Fitness but that is more exercise.

Yeah just meant anything health and fitness related really.

Closing at 1183
all on plan but added a small scoop of low cal icecream to final meal. Fasting starts now! Will weigh tmrw. Love to be back 10.7 but unsure I’ll have made it

@Bubbles44 well done ! Ur back in the 9s

Bubbles44 · 01/05/2024 17:24

Hopefully all going in the right direction at least. Like you said it’s @hollyblueivy it’s not going up so that’s a good thing.

I always recommend gin Stephen intermittent fasting stories podcast. So interesting hearing about how people got to their goal and maintained. It’s helped me so much over the last couple of years! I also like the Zoe podcast and Tim Spector and probably a million more I can’t think of!

Hope we can all have another drop tomorrow. Long weekend looming. @Smartmove have you decided how to tackle your weekend away? @jelly79 hope your day has gone well.

I fasted until 4. Healthy food. 1 tiny biscuit.closed now until about 5.30 tomorrow!

Smartmove · 01/05/2024 17:39

I’m a bit nervous re weekend away. But I’m also telling myself that’s ridiculous and I have to enjoy it within reason!

my plan is
1- nothing carby at breakfast. No pancakes crossiants etc. that sets me off all day and it’s a downward spiral
2- 1 pudding a day. Whatever I want whenever I want but only one. I reckon will be post dinner
3- I’m travelling on Friday but the holiday starts on Sat. So on Friday I will continue to calorie count weigh my food and track. I’ll pre make a salad for my travels. I do not need to go into holiday mode on Friday
4-check in daily with you lovely ladies to keep me “cruising” as ESG lady says. Not expecting a loss or even STS but want to minise damage if 1/2 pounds.
5-unlimited veg (another ESG hack)

and that’s it. I feel like they are achievable and get in the way of my trip enjoyment.

@Bubbles44 are you away too? What’s your plan?

im back on Tuesday am…then sat night have a big dinner so really want to be back on plan on Tuesday and by sat be back to where I left off

but I struggle to get back onto plan once I veer off…but im hoping I can!

Bubbles44 · 01/05/2024 19:19

Good plan! Especially knowing you’re allowed pudding so you can look forward to it and not in your head if you should or shouldn’t.
Definitely enjoy as much as you can though as life is hard enough so we need to enjoy the fun times!
Mine isn’t too bad. Get there late Friday so should be ok Friday, It’s just evening meal. Saturday I’ll be mindful but things won’t be in my control. I will skip breakfast though and fit a 5K in both Saturday and Sunday so should hopefully be in an ok mindset! Back Sunday afternoon. Just hope a little switch doesn’t go off in my brain where I just go for it. Because like you say being back on track is so much harder if you go crazy! Hope 9.12 Friday and no more than 9.13 on Monday. We’ll see though.

Smartmove · 01/05/2024 20:09

@Bubbles44 its the switch!!! We mustn’t loose control. But we must enjoy too :)

I want to go down and eat more icecream. Why? Because I hit 10.7.5 and that’s pretty good for me and so I want to self sabotage it. But I’m not going to. This is not goal weight. And I have been here at start of month so I’ve not actually lost anything this month. I’ve just gone up and down. I’ll be happier if I jump on scales tmrw and it’s lower

so im NOT doing it.

hollyblueivy · 01/05/2024 21:14

@Smartmove your plan for the weekend is ideal. Enjoy in moderation.

My day was broadly as planned. Had one slice bread with soup as hungry. Dinner ended up as chicken and mushrooms with salad. Did add some sauce and cheese. Then had a 120 cal chocolate.

Workout was pretty much as planned.

Not expecting scales to move tomorrow.

9.12. This morning. Back to where I was last week! Run done and fast until 5.30.
Just looked at my chart and since Christmas it’s up every/most weekends and then down in the week to 9.12ish I guess I’m maintaining at the moment. I need to push down a few more pounds then I won’t mind the week and weekend variations. As long as it comes back down in the week. I’m still a bit off that as need to break 9.12/9.11.

Hope everyone has a good weigh in 🤞🤞

Smartmove · 02/05/2024 07:04

Whoop @Bubbles44

im 10.6 today!!!! Whooopppyyyyy :)
love to 10.5.9 even tmrw

sup im now 3 to goal (bmi 23) but may keep going dunno now!

so glad I didn’t break

hollyblueivy · 02/05/2024 07:30

Well done @Bubbles44 and @Smartmove so pleased your hard work has paid off. You're spot on @Bubbles44 about maintaining and I think I had also been doing that for months, although now unfortunately my weight has crept up a further few pounds and I'm maintaining around the higher point.

@Smartmove you must feel amazing going into this weekend, do you think that will help you stick to your plan for how good it feels?

I'm 10:12:6 today (bmi 27) so that's about 1.5lb off so far this week although I had wanted 4 by tomorrow. I'll stretch the same goal to Saturday and even on to Sunday (morning) if I have to. I'm out all day on Sunday and it's a good and drink one so wanted to get off as much this week as possible so next week isn't even worse than it has been. Anyway I'll stick with it for a couple more days and see how I go.

Aching from workouts so probably do a rest day today and another workout on Friday.

Smartmove · 02/05/2024 07:40

@hollyblueivy good work and well done for checking in. I totally go insane and off the rails usually - even maintaining is hard as we have all seen this month! I’ve managed to loose a pound basically from the lowest this month to today. Pretty ridicolous

im def sticking to it. I have a lot of dinners and weekends away coming up in next 2 months so I need to stay very focussed on both my days at home and also days off ow it will creep up and up

jelly79 · 02/05/2024 08:55

I weighed myself! Have been really putting it off because I didn't want to see the 11s and assumed that's what I would see!

10s7.8lbs - happy with that!

Yesterday was a good day too! I fasted until 2pm (MCT oil is the key for me)

Huge salad and quinoa
Lolly ice
Eggs, chorizo, broccoli and tomato

I was tempted by chocolates and crumpets but I was t hungry so I didn't indulge!

Same again today and an 18km run planned in the morning!

Feeling switched on x
