10.12
suspect this week will be loosing my 3 day eating and drinking !!! I’ll reasses my aim on Thursday depending on how much of this bloat I loose.
last Sat I said to be 10.7 for Sunday but not sure now!

af came yest which explains some of my behaviour!!!!!

hollyblueivy · 20/03/2024 07:55

I feel like I've been above 10:9 for ages now and would like to get to a point where I can maintain around 10:8:5 for a few weeks before pushing on a bit more.

I was 10:10:6 this morning. Don't think I'll be 10:8:5 by Friday so will set that as the goal from now to next Friday.

Only problem is that Easter holidays are coming up and any type of school holiday and break from the norm usually affects my eating and drinking habits. Will try not to be too hard on myself.

Water and exercise definitely helps so I will try to keep that up over the next few weeks.

10.11
hopefully 10.10 tmrw then 10.9 on sat which means 0.5 gain this week! I had a fab time on sat but shouldn’t have continued eating so much on Sunday and Monday really!

I’ll keep going! Hopefully can move my 10.7 goal which was on Sunday to next Wednesday and make it then .

@hollyblueivy its hard. As evidenced by us here! Just maybe tell urself that till Easter ur going to be good and then it’s inevitable some choc is going to be eaten and ur going to be out and about the kids !

hollyblueivy · 21/03/2024 07:29

Yes we will keep chipping away -- have to really because whenever I stop trying the weight quickly goes the other way. Age is going to become more of a factor in losing and maintaining weight so want to get as much of a head start on that as I can!

10:9:5 this morning, finally feel like I'm getting somewhere. AIM will remain at 10:8:5 by next Friday.

I know to be 30 again! very hard! I just want mine gone by mid April tbh. But prob expecting too much! I’m actually concerned about maintence but will cross that bridge when I reach it! Going to see how I feel at 10.6 (bmi will be 23.3 ) and then may just tone coz may need to starve myself to get to 10.3!!!

Smartmove · 21/03/2024 07:44

Come on holly we got this. Let’s have a great day today.
how is ur weekend looking? Mine is so boring which is really great!!!

hollyblueivy · 21/03/2024 23:35

Day was good I think so will see what the Friday weigh says in the morning.

Weekend likely to involve drinks but nothing too heavy and a meal out. I've been craving something sweet all week so feel like I've saved a pudding up to be had this weekend too.

I'll also try to get one or two workouts in to keep the balance.

I want to be 10:8:5 by next Friday so will try to keep that in mind too.

shut tight!!!!

hopefully a loss tmrw

hollyblueivy · 24/03/2024 17:42

I am rubbish on weekends and I fume at myself about it even though at the time I tell myself I deserve it for being good all week.

I don't know how to get a better balance.

I've eaten and drank too much today and the scales will show tomorrow.

Do I accept that this is what balance looks like to me and it's a constant battle to maintain with an occasional loss or do I restrict myself on weekends in a similar way to the mid week.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 24/03/2024 20:16

@hollyblueivy if your losing weight at a rate your pleased with / can accept I say you keep doing what your doing. Even if it’s slow but ur happy with it keep at it.

if however your not seeing your results maybe you could just make 1 small change each weekend-so for example excercise sat and Sunday but eat wotever you want. Or just have sat off plan and back on Sunday . Or just drink gin and slimline no wine? A small change like that at the weekend may help??

I also find weekends very difficult. It’s like my brain goes into party mode and everything is on the cards! Hence yest I had another dinner and a drink! I managed today coz I know I won’t make 10.7ish on Friday if I wasn’t good today…

as your getting closer to goal it’s going to be harder.you have done so well don’t forget how far you have come!

hollyblueivy · 25/03/2024 06:26

Thanks @Smartmove I can relate to everything you have said and that has helped.

You're right, small changes I think is what I need to consider. I was imagining that my weekends would have to look exactly the same as weekdays but that's not the case, they can just look a bit different to how they currently are.

Next weekend is a bank holiday so it will be a good little test. I'll allow two of the four days as weekend type days and be on it the other two as normal.

There must also be something in it around the rate of loss and me being happy with where I am. Even through I would like a bit more off, most of the hard work is done now so I'm not desperate to get to the next pound off and the next.

I would say this year so far I am essentially maintaining my weight rather than losing so will definitely have time change something somewhere if I want to see an overall loss.

Will weigh shortly and expect the usual weekend bloat and then the goal for this week is 10:8:5.

I'd like to have a few consistent weeks around 10:8:5 each Friday and then push on for another pound off.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 25/03/2024 07:02

10.8.5
will catch up later got to get kids sorted and get to work!

hollyblueivy · 25/03/2024 07:30

Well done on your weight loss in that's a great post weekend weight!

I'm 10:11:7 so need a good three pound off by Friday.

Plan
Two meals - lunch and dinner
Water
Exercise at least 3 times

OP posts:
Smartmove · 25/03/2024 09:43

@hollyblueivy ive stayed the same basically this week as I weighed that last sat but taken me all week to loose last weekends eating and drinking! Going to push through the week and then I have guests staying for 3 nights so it’s going to very difficult! We have puddings lots of food and Easter related goodies! I’m not drinking so least that’s one thing!!! I’m thinking of being super strict for brekkie and lunch and then enjoying dinners with a pudding with a hope that sees me maintain over this weekend . I really want Friday to be 10.7 but unsure I’ll make it.

what you were saying earlier - I’m quite similar. I don’t feel as desperate so the loss is so much slower and I love eating ! However I’m still not quite where I want to be and after spending this year going up and down so far (holiday bdays) I really want to just get these last few pounds off. It’s really not easy when the desperation is gone!!!

as you can see maintaining is also though so well done to us for achieving that?! I do think being good in week and being free over weekends is what I’ll need to do to maintain in the long term (and strip up excercise!).

hollyblueivy · 25/03/2024 15:01

All good points @Smartmove

I also want to focus on the positives and not just the negative when I gain.

Positive for March is that I have averaged over 8k steps per day. (Which is good for me.)

OP posts:
Smartmove · 25/03/2024 17:09

Too many Easter eggs around. Just ending on 1300 coz of 300 cals of choc. Not had a very healthy day! I did do a quick 15 min Spin. Hopefully same or small loss tmrw

Smartmove · 26/03/2024 07:04

10.9.5 which I’m pissed about!
no choc today!

hollyblueivy · 26/03/2024 09:14

Wish I was 10:9:5!!

10:11:5 for me today
