Hi @Mum2lots welcome along - what's your general eating pattern - are you continuing with the carnivore diet?

I'm 10:9:0 today.

Had spicy lentil Dahl soup yesterday and chicken for dinner. Did a 45m workout. Good start to the week, no sugar in coffee and no chocolate.

Smartmove · 30/01/2024 20:40

fairly good today. Ending on 1200
tmrw plan is
yoghurt berries
smoked salmon salad
prawns marinated with mixed veg

will actually weigh tmrw. Think I’ll be 10.12 feeling bloated and af arrived today

Chunkymonkey123 · 30/01/2024 21:02

I was 1000 yesterday and then 1300 today before I just caved and shoved a load of crisps in my mouth 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ 1600 I guess.
I really enjoyed that podcast. I read his previous book ‘why we eat too much’ and I would love for it to be true that I can eat healthily and just drop weight easily! No sugar today apart from two squares of dark chocolate. Need to break the sugar/white carb addiction!

Smartmove · 30/01/2024 21:09

@Chunkymonkey123 what podcast u listening too?
I’m day 2 no sugar feeling ok but I know holiday coming up so trying to stay on plan till I leave!!! How am I still not at pre Xmas weight
FFS!

jelly79 · 30/01/2024 22:28

No fasting today.

B - scrambled egg and pine nuts
Greek yoghurt, protein powder, granola, prunes
T- roast chicken salad
2 x hotel chocolates

HIIT ✔️
11.5k steps

Need to start walking more!

hollyhola · 31/01/2024 07:23

Morning all,

Half way through the week, how are we all getting on?

That's January done, I probably haven't made as much progress as I'd have liked but weighed at 10:8:8 today and overall I'm pleased with that and glad I've stayed out of the 11's.

Onto February- this month will be a challenge as I have socials every weekend and half term. May have to try to do one 24hour fast per week to try to keep the balance.

Any plans to help keep on track in February?

I'd like to be 10:7:0 by the end of the month.

Smartmove · 31/01/2024 12:57

Hey girls
i was 10.12 as i expected. Hoping to be back to 10.10 by Friday / Sat and then get to 10.8 by my holiday on the Thursday . Let’s see if I make it

hollyhola · 01/02/2024 07:20

Fingers crossed for the 10:10 tomorrow, if you don't have any major plans this weekend you could be at your pre holiday goal. Are you off abroad? I could so do with a holiday!

I was 10:9:0 this morning. Feeling very tired today like I could go back to bed, might see if I can do a short working day. Unlikely to get to the gym but may try to go for a walk.

Smartmove · 01/02/2024 09:32

@hollyhola yes it’s abroad! I’m excited :) but I will end up undoing any progress made!
was 10.11 today so should be 10.10 at some point Fri/sat. Which means I spent this month maintaining but that I still have 2 pounds from pre Xmas I’ve not lost!!!! I’m hoping to have them gone before I fly (only to put it all back on!) I’ve kept post holiday Feb and March super free super boring as I’m aiming to get to goal by April

Smartmove · 01/02/2024 09:32

@hollyhola when r u planning ur next fast,

hollyhola · 02/02/2024 07:36

I'm sure it will be lovely to feel a bit of sunshine and at least we have broadly been maintaining rather than putting weight on.

10:8:4 for me today which is nearly 2lb on from last week when I had my post fast weigh of 10:6:6

Haven't had a chance to fast this week. I think I'll fast Wednesday after dinner next week into Thursday evening.

As I have busy weekends this month I'm going to have to really do a good job on the weekdays and I think a fast per week would help too.

My average steps for January was a measly 5,300 so I also want my February average to be at least 8k.

What is everyone's goals and plans for this month?

jelly79 · 02/02/2024 07:47

Morning all! Apologies for MIA I have been working away!
Always throws me off but I was relatively ok! No chocolate binges in the car. No where near enough water though!

Not sure whether to weigh, I am due on and it messes with my motivation

Long run ahead today!!

My feb challenge

  • 350000 steps
  • 60k of running
  • 16 HIITS
  • reduce UPF / chocolate's
jelly79 · 02/02/2024 07:48

@hollyhola have a great pre holiday week!!!

Smartmove · 02/02/2024 08:17

I didn’t weigh this am but planning a 700 cal day which is prob closest I can get to a fast .
plan for Feb is to come back from holiday loose holiday gain fast and end Feb on 10.7 minimum and excercise 3 times a week at least.

Chunkymonkey123 · 02/02/2024 10:54

Morning all! I’ve STS at 10.12 this week which I’m so annoyed with myself about! I’m ok during the day but then I’m so hungry in the evenings that it all goes out of the window. I really don’t think I’m eating that much though and have turned down cake several times this week.
I’m going to join you all on trying to do more steps in Feb!

Smartmove · 02/02/2024 11:36

@Chunkymonkey123 are u drinking enough? I find sparkling water more fillin. Also enough protein? It’s hard to maintain isn’t it! I feel like this thread should be

Smartmoves maintains!!

hollyholliee · 02/02/2024 15:30

Good to hear from you @Chunkymonkey123 and good luck with the steps. I'm on 1500 as working from home and chained to the desk all day!

jelly79 · 03/02/2024 07:00

@Chunkymonkey123 I used to be a complete gremlin of an evening and it was association of relaxing / TV and then 'rewarding' myself for a good day! I would suggest trying to break some routines for a little while, have a specific time 'the kitchen closes' and don't open it back up :)

jelly79 · 03/02/2024 07:02

I'm hungry this morning!! Will have MCT and fast until 12 ish

20k steps done yesterday and plan to get out for a walk today!

At a friends for dinner today but I could avoid the weekend wheels coming off this weekend

Weighed at 10s4 so hoping for 1 off this week

hollyholliee · 03/02/2024 09:02

@jelly79 you're doing great. That's loads of steps, how is the half marathon training going? Is it making you more hungry?

10:7:5 for me today, I ate quite light yesterday, wasn't particularly hungry.

Chunkymonkey123 · 03/02/2024 15:07

Thanks for all your kind comments!

Today I have had cheese omelette, one packet of crisps (need to stop this 😂) and homemade broccoli soup. Beef stew for dinner.

this was the podcast linked earlier, it’s really interesting about focusing on eating healthily rather than counting calories. Thanks whoever recommended it. I’ve bought the book he has written.
Doing my Sainsburys shop now and putting only healthy things in the basket. Also signed up to give green chef a go, you can pick high protein, low carbs meals.

Smartmove · 03/02/2024 17:35

@Chunkymonkey123 i need to listen to this. I feel like I’m constantly trying to “behave” and it’s so boring! I ended on 1200 and did a 30 min exhausting HIT

yoghurt and strawberries
avacado mackrel salad
sausages and broccoli
2 cookies - which is why I did 30 mins of pelaton!

kitchen closed but I want to keep grazing!

Smartmove · 04/02/2024 07:35

10.10.5 today. Still 2 more to go before Xmas weight. Annoyed but also aware it’s been last weekend bdays and dinner and the occasional cookie stalling my progress. Need to get my act together when back from holiday. Hoping to be 10.10 tmrw and fly being 10.9 (was meant to be 10.8 but won’t make that.

didnt manage my 800 cals on Friday wasn’t even hunger there is just so much crap in house after the bdays.

going to try today.

jelly79 · 04/02/2024 08:01

@hollyhola it's a bit slow, I hurt my knee a couple of weeks ago so taking it gentler than I wanted

My DS6 has asked to run with me this morning so will get an extra little one with him

Yesterday I was on track and then crumbled with biscuits and hot crossed buns. Enjoyed them guilt free

Today the plan
Little run / swim / bike
Blueberry sourdough, butter and coffee
Chicken pie and all the greens
Likely another hot crossed bun for supper

hollyholliee · 04/02/2024 10:29

Hot cross bun yummmmmmm
