I caved! Got a box of chocs from collegues
kept staring at me
ate 6!!!!

I need it nowhere near me. So far @hollyhola is still going strong!

hollyhola · 24/01/2024 14:54

I wonder if it's when we tell ourselves we can't have something we want it more.

Hope the few chics hit the spot and you can quickly reset.

Had soup for the third day running - will have to mix it up but it's so easy without having to think too much.

Chilli with rice and salad for dinner tonight.

jelly79 · 24/01/2024 20:12

I found the benefit of a longer fast not having to think about food.

Fasted till 4 so probably 22 hours

Rice and chicken (small)
Greek yoghurt and protein powder
Slice of pizza
Banana and PB

Didn't enjoy any of it today

hollyhola · 25/01/2024 07:29

Well done on your fast Jelly

This is my final day of no sugar and I am tempted to possibly break it this evening but I will see if I can push on until tomorrow.

I finished eating food by about 6:30pm last night. I'm wondering if I can get by on maybe 2 coffees (with milk) and water today until 6:30pm for a 24 hour fast. Then have salmon and veg for dinner.

I was 10:7:9 today. Think I just really want to be 10:8:0 (or under) by tomorrow as it's been ages and ages since I've been that on a Friday.

jelly79 · 25/01/2024 13:21

I feel so 'meh' this week, not enjoying food not feeling the benefit of fasting etc

But I think the problems are

  • weighed on Monday which wasn't good
  • hardly any steps and no running because I hurt my knee (I'll get out tomorrow!)
  • busy in work and lack of proper planning
  • hardly any water

Fasting until late afternoon today and will have salmon and veg! Just need to keep it at that

Fasting when making granola is not recommended! The house smells so good and it's making me hungry!

Smartmove · 25/01/2024 15:58

I’ve fallen of the sugar cliff and just can’t be stopped
i also know it’s my weekend of celebration coming up

hopefully back on plan Sunday but may be Monday. Going to regret this!

hollyhola · 25/01/2024 16:14

Half the battle is in the mind isn't it and if your mind is on the weekend and celebrating then it's a case of waiting for it to pass and click back.

You've mostly been good this week though so hopefully that will give you a bit of a cushion.

@jelly79 do you think you need to mix up your food a bit so you're enjoying what you're having? It's hard when other things like work take up time and thinking space.

I've been busy all day so just had the morning coffee and water. I think I may as well wait till 6:30 now so it is a 24 hour fasting period. I suspect my no sugar will also come to an end this evening.

jelly79 · 25/01/2024 16:15

Broke my fast

Chicken, tomatoes, Olives, Parma ham
Yoghurt and protein

A bit random but healthy and i am full so early kitchen close

Craving peanut butter all the time though

hollyhola · 25/01/2024 19:46

I think I'll try to incorporate one 24 hour fast per week - Wednesday into Thursday would probably work quite well for me and hopefully help me drop weight for my formal Friday weigh in.

I'll do it again next week and see how I go.

The only thing is that I did have one coffee with milk which I think is called a dirty fast as opposed to a clean fast.

hollyhola · 26/01/2024 07:06

What fasting, healthy diet or fitness podcasts do you guys enjoy?

This is a good one

hollyhola · 26/01/2024 07:24

Weighed at 10:6:6 today - must be due to the fast yesterday and no doubt will go back up again when I eat today and over the weekend.

That's about a 4lb loss on last week. I am fully expecting that to go up but for today I'll take it and I'm happy.

jelly79 · 27/01/2024 22:03

@hollyhola wow holly well done!!!

I'll have a listen to the podcast :)

I was 10a5.4 Friday so 1 up from last week but I am eating less overall but more empty calories - I need to get rid of the sugar!

Aim is 2 off this week
