I’ve done this before during lockdown and got down to a decent weight but slowly gone back up. I keep starting and then doing well and then self sabtogage and gain it all. It’s such a problem. So I’m taking it 1 week at a time. And writing on here to keep me on straight and narrow

day 1
weight 11.6 . Bmi 25.5
goal weight 10.8

this is post 4 days of self sabotage so should come off very quickly I was 11.1 4 days ago so should be water. And then will start slowing down

today plan
brocolli and Stilton soup at 11ish
feta stuffed chicken with a side salad of leaves and avacado at 4ish

I can do this. I usually eat 3 small meals but I ate so much last night I’m not hungry!

How are you getting on with taking on more fruit / veg / salad to try to fill you up more? Are you drinking lots of water?

I've had mackerel salad and a soreen for lunch and just having chicken for dinner - not sure what to put with it.

Smartmove · 16/08/2023 21:01

I think I would have been fine but the chocs in my office keep staring at me
I usually have good willpower but it’s not as strong atm :(
I think I’ll weigh myself tmrw to give myself a kick up the back side! Am not in office tmrw so no temptation! Only positive is I’ve not had 10000 chocs like usual and managed to just have 2/3

bur none is what I should be having!

10:8:1 today gah! Supposed to go down not up! I'm thinking maybe I won't get the 10:7 after all by tomorrow!

This has been the hardest bit of weight to lose, been a good few weeks in the making.

Smartmove · 17/08/2023 09:24

@hollyblueivy i know wot u mean. I got to 10.10.5 about a month ago and I’ve not really managed to go down at all! Think it gets very though at a new lower weight. Keep at it it will come off. About 6 months ago I was stuck at 11.2 for ages and then it dropped and now I’m stuck at 10.11 ish . Some of this is my own fault but some of it is my body pushing against me!

pln today
no brekkie
no chocs
samon for lunch with avacado
prawns and broccoli

OP posts:
Smartmove · 17/08/2023 16:30

Ending on 1036 and 50g carbs
added in 2 nairns oat biccies rather than choc! Least they not pure sugar :/

fasting begins till 930. Clean fast no milk. So 17 hours

Smartmove · 18/08/2023 08:13

@hollyblueivy have u heard about set points in our weight? I’m pretty sure mine used to be 11.2-hard to drop below it easy to go above. I’ve managed to set it to 10.10.5 after a lot of effort (but struggling to get below ) just need to set it lower!

OP posts:
Smartmove · 18/08/2023 08:20

Not sure that’s exactly what the theory is but def my set point is 11.2 for most my life

Hey all! Sorry for MIA I've put off checking in!

Isn't it so easy for 2 days away to turn in to 8 days of silliness.

Sugar has been my enemy, I am 100 days alcohol free and exercising well but grazing on sugar 'because I deserve it' hahaha! Rewarding 'good habits' with 'bad habits'

Weighed in today at 10s 7.8 which I am cross at myself for because I wanted to be 10s 4 by now! But I think some of that will be the extra running I'm doing (or not!)

How are you all? What's your way to 'snap' back in to motivation mode?

Smartmove · 18/08/2023 12:31

I’ve no idea @jelly79 i keep coming on and off! It’s all in the mind one day u will just feel it again
I wouldn’t be too criss thohgh u have maintained ur loss and prob the running has built muscle which weighs more so well done!

It literally is like a switch!

I've just had a lovely chicken salad for lunch
(With a handful of the kids chips) and then to reward my choice had a big chocolate flapjack! WTF!

Smartmove · 18/08/2023 17:01

@jelly79 ive just had biscuits so I don’t know wot I’m up to either!

Smartmove · 18/08/2023 17:01

I’m going to weigh in tmrw which will hopefully kick me up the backside and make me go sugar free!

Morning girls
well I’m well and truley annoyed at myself.
I was 10.11 on June 21st on this thread
dropped to 10.10.5 at some point I think in July
and today I’m 11!!!!!!! The half of a pack of biscuits and sugar consumption are likely to blame. Some of will be water weight from yest but still I Need to sort myself out! So I’m going back to daily weights. I’ll be happy being 10.10 next sat when I leave for a week break in the uk. That week will see me gain as lots of meals and family visits planned but will keep weighing and checking in so it’s not terrible. I don’t know what’s wrong with me!!! This is so hard!!! And I’m cross!

today
no alcohol .
skip brekkie. Lunch at 11 - bean soup and avacado on side
got friends over for afternoon tea - it’s just a picky one so will only have the olives carrots hummus and cucumber. No sandwiches no cake
im out at a friends for a meal. Will drive no alcohol. No idea what she’s making. May have have to accept small pudding if she’s gone to effort to make it hoping she’s just done main meal and it’s salad based and not carby.
30 mins HIT

Don’t feel bad @Smartmove I’m exactly the same. Was 10.5 a month ago and now back up to 10.10. I’m sure you’ll drop a few pounds of water weight.
I’m fed up with myself that I seem to have accepted a new set weight which is a stone heavier than I’ve been for most of my life.
Plan for this weekend is not to ruin it just because it’s the weekend!!
Good luck all!

Smartmove · 19/08/2023 17:30

No alcohol but crap consumed
ffs

Smartmove · 20/08/2023 09:04

Hi ladies

Remember that if we wasn't trying to lose weight then we would probably be well into the 11's by now.

Also where you are now is really only a few pounds more than the weights you mentioned, which if you really had a proper reset week would get well on your way to making good progress.

I think it's such a balance between wanting to lose weight and taking the actions needed and living life at the same time, sometimes the living life bit outweighs the desire to lose. And that's ok. Just means it's a slower process.

Check out ESG fitness on instagram she has just put an interesting post up about the weigh in after the weekend.

I was 10:8:6 today and have eaten and drank a fair bit this weekend so expecting a decent jump tomorrow. Fully prepared to have a great week Monday - Friday though and the aim for me is that 10:7 by Friday.

Smartmove · 21/08/2023 06:58

Yes @hollyblueivy i am 11 today! I’m just not following my usual plan
I am going to smash it this week though

here goes

Kenwoodmixitup · 21/08/2023 07:03

You’re smashing op. 🤩

hollyblueivy · 21/08/2023 08:15

10:9:9 today

Aim 10:7 by Friday

About 3lb to lose over the 5 days

Been chasing this for a good month I would say now!! We keep going.

Have a great week

Smartmove · 21/08/2023 14:47

@hollyblueivy ive been at this sort of weight for months. Hoping 2/3 of if it is water. Am sticking to 900 ca today and lots of water. Not hungry so far

we can do it . If I can do 10.10 on sat am I’ll be please. That’s 4 off in 5 days but I know most of that is water bloat so should come off I hope.

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 21/08/2023 16:11

Do you think the summer holidays has something to do with it? Think it will be easier once the kids go back and there is more routine and structure?

Smartmove · 21/08/2023 16:57
