I’ve done this before during lockdown and got down to a decent weight but slowly gone back up. I keep starting and then doing well and then self sabtogage and gain it all. It’s such a problem. So I’m taking it 1 week at a time. And writing on here to keep me on straight and narrow

day 1
weight 11.6 . Bmi 25.5
goal weight 10.8

this is post 4 days of self sabotage so should come off very quickly I was 11.1 4 days ago so should be water. And then will start slowing down

today plan
brocolli and Stilton soup at 11ish
feta stuffed chicken with a side salad of leaves and avacado at 4ish

I can do this. I usually eat 3 small meals but I ate so much last night I’m not hungry!

Wasn't very good yesterday food wise, no water and no exercise.

I’m away so can’t weigh but feeling bloated and I know I’ll be more again 😩
All I can do is try and be sensible and then be really strict next week before my holiday. I’m also drinking too much wine which then means I eat too much so no alcohol unless I’m going out.

ive given up! I think calorie counting and watching what I eat has exhausted me! I’m having the week off
im out Friday and sat anyways
ill just be normal and not got crazy

back on Sunday though (with a gain) and a 2 whole weeks clear till I’m away in uk with some family . Just need a break from obsessing over my goals and my weight!

Sometimes you just need to take a break and reset. I get that.

Take it easy and enjoy.

It's certainly not easy this losing weight malarkey.

Morning,

I'm 10:8:8 today

No way will I be 10:7 by tomorrow so that goal will roll over for yet another week.

I'm fed up with chasing it for weeks now! I know the weekends are where it all goes wrong so that where I need to make the changes.

I am determined to get 10:7 by next Friday.

I will need to stay away from alcohol this weekend and that should have a knock on effect.

@jelly79 How has your week been? Are you still getting your steps in?

I'm 10:8:1 today - only 1 pound away from my 10:7 goal by Friday next week. Sounds so achievable but depends how the weekend goes.

Cutting drink and treats may be too much so going to try alcohol free and still have some treats.

Did 15k steps though.

No alcohol will pass my lips today and I mean that. Treats might though.

im ready to go again. Needed that time off I wasn’t in zone. Feeling ultra motivated now. Made a meal plan for the week and doing lots of cooking today. I won’t be weighing daily but only once a week as when I drop to 10.11 I start messing around so best to not know when I’m there! I’ve gained a few pounds to be expected but here we go again!!!

skip brekkie as ate out late last night and a lot!
lunch - tuna edame aalad
dinner - chicken and veg in fajita seasoning with lettuce as wraps

Hello! Welcome back @Smartmove , good effort on the meal planning, I need to do that this week. @hollyblueivy you do so many steps! Do you have a dog to walk?
I’m back from my holiday and a cheeky weigh in tonight suggests that the damage is awful, I’m right back to the start. However there is no point in giving up! I’m off on holiday in ten days so if I can get 5 off that would be great. It should be possible if I’m strict and hopefully a lot of it is water weight.
I’ve been reflecting on my alcohol drinking and I think that’s a big issue with my weight loss, I just think sod it when I’ve had a drink and ruin the day. I think mentally because it’s the school holidays I’ve been using that as an excuse to drink a lot more often.

When I was away there was a copy of the 5:2 book and in it were loads of testimonials from people in it saying they easily lost weight including loads who had bmis of less than 25. How?! I wouldn’t say I eat loads on my days off but it undoes all the weight loss. I can’t imagine losing anything if I only did it 2 days a week.

@Chunkymonkey123 ive no idea either! But I agree alcohol is empty cals and then I just think it’s a good idea to eat anything and everything and all my ability to regulate goes. I have one social event in next fortnight and I’m going to drive and have one small wine only if I drive that’s the only way I can promise that! I’m hoping I can get very close to my first goal of 10.8 in the next fortnight which is what is what I started d this thread with the aim of doing…

im tempted to not weigh myself till next Sunday which is the day after I’m on my night out so ensure I don’t go off plan!

ended on 1300 as I weighed my chicken wrong and had some dark choc but I did do a tiring HIT session. So not bad but could be better. At work tmrw so hoping that helps

Hi all,

Good to see you back.

Plans sound good and couldn't agree more with the alcohol connection to slowing losses. I had a few on Friday and a takeaway on Saturday but overall not a bad weekend.

Surprised to see 10:7:5 on scales today. They may jump tomorrow but if I stay focused I should be able to finally get the elusive 10:7 by Friday.

10.11.4 today, so far away from my goal weight and so close to my starting weight!!

Plan today:
Eggs and mackerel
Roast chicken and stir fry veg (need to think of a sauce)

Breakfast is 400 and will weigh my chicken to make sure it’s less than 300, will eat as much veg and cups of tea as is needed to get through the day!

Yo sushi poke bowl with spinach
comes in at 950 and 50g carbs (I’ve upped my carbs to get enough fruit and veg in and hope it means I don’t go off plan so often and it’s more sustainable)

I ended at about 1100 today as I was so hungry after work I ate more than I should have.
I roasted a whole chicken yesterday and had it with roasted veg and a mustard sauce yesterday and then today the leftover chicken made a chicken and tomato sauce which I had with spring greens and my family had with pasta.
Tomorrow I am out with work for lunch and dinner but plan to make low carb choices as much as possible.

Both your calories for yesterday is still a good day.

I'm 10:7:5 for the third day in a row. Aim for 10:7 by Friday so may just have to eat really light tomorrow and not go too mad today.

I wanted to weigh today but didn’t. Hoping will keep me focussed. Done my 20 min hit. Trousers less tight!

Not done great today as I had extra dinner and also the chocs again! I’ve ended on 1400 I did do a HIT at least. I feel like I need more choc but zipping my mouth!!
