I’ve done this before during lockdown and got down to a decent weight but slowly gone back up. I keep starting and then doing well and then self sabtogage and gain it all. It’s such a problem. So I’m taking it 1 week at a time. And writing on here to keep me on straight and narrow

weight 11.6 . Bmi 25.5
goal weight 10.8

this is post 4 days of self sabotage so should come off very quickly I was 11.1 4 days ago so should be water. And then will start slowing down

today plan
brocolli and Stilton soup at 11ish
feta stuffed chicken with a side salad of leaves and avacado at 4ish

I can do this. I usually eat 3 small meals but I ate so much last night I’m not hungry!

I feel back!

I got up and done a cardio HIIT this morning! I have been so run down this week and slept in everyday! Feel so much better for that! I'm going to walk now and get some fresh air!

Weighed in at 10s 6.6 which is 1.2 off last week by a miracle! I need to see sub 10.6 next Friday which will be the lowest I've been and get back to a slow and steady week on week loss!

Sorry for the essay just giving myself a talking to!

Fasting worked for me so I need to get back on it!

Plan is

10:30 -6:30
20k steps
Eggs / salmon / protein shake

@Smartmove You've smashed this week, pretty much straight back to it after your trip and only a couple of pounds to where you were. How is the weekend looking?

@jelly79 Good to hear from you and a loss over the last week is fab! Especially if you've been feeling a bit rubbish - I'm a bit of a comfort water (happy and sad!) so it does make it that bit harder. Well done on cracking on with your workout, I still haven't mastered the exercise in the morning thing. Fingers crossed for your lightest weight by next Friday - keep us updated!

@Chunkymonkey123 How are you getting on and how do you tend to manage weekends? Do you build in any kind of exercise to your week?

I'll weigh once I'm properly up!

I have friends over tmrw but they don’t drink so I won’t. I am making pizzas though so thinking a very small one and a long HIT class, Sunday is totally clear as is today so hopefully all be ok.

I have a date night with hubby in 9 days and I’ve said I’m not going untill I’m 10.10 as I don’t want derailing again! But I really want to go so hopefully will spur me on! Am thinking 10.11 by Sunday. Then 1 off from Monday to sat. Ow there will
no date night!! Im sick of up and down and just want to buckle down and do it now! If anything people reading this thread must wonder wot I’m up to 🙈

10:8:1 slight drop.

I have meal and drinks out today and tomorrow and I really don't feel like restricting myself. In two minds though as I know as soon as it's done I'll be regretting it Monday morning.

I might just go for it and try to do two low calorie fasting days next week.

So I don't really count calories and try to just make good choices but may need to pay attention if I do a couple of low calorie days next week.

How do you tend to apportion your calories per meal / snacks? Just thinking tomato soup with pitta is over 350 cals if I have that as a lunch but that isn't with any cheese and I have to add cheese!

ended on 960 but high on the carbs as I may have had half of my sons brownie!!!! I estimated it as a nero/Starbucks one though wasn’t as big what I had so hopefully carbs and calories actually lower!

I’ve STS
prob bunged up I’ve realised and this is now the fat I gained whilst away and water is gone. Sigh! And today is pizza but I’m not drinking and I’m going to set aside a small one only for me make a huge salad and eat lots of that! And avoid pudding?!?

gonna do a HIT session now.
so I think if I can STS tmrw don’t think loss possible with pizza being consumed and then maybe get back to 10.10.5 by Tuesday? (That’s 2 more to go if I really focus like I have done when I got back from holiday and done eat son brownies!)

Sounds like a perfect plan @Smartmove - Enjoying yourself a bit but not going overboard where you're taking backward steps. Go for it!

I'm 10:8:4 this morning. Happy with that as had meal out. Ice cream. Few drinks.

No exercise yesterday, none since Wednesday I think so will try to do something today.

Meal and drinks later so expect a gain tomorrow but will try best from Sunday to Thursday to get to 10:7.

Had a few compliments on my weight loss this week, felt good.

I’ve been looking at my food and though I have veg and berries I’m not getting my 5 a day. And nowhere near close to my fibre needs of 30mg. Are u guys managing? 80g is one portion of veg which is normal size prob what I have at each meal so I’m only getting 3 a day. I’m going to change that and really focus on not just weight loss but ensuring I’m having enough fruit and veg which I find hard to do on low carb diet

Hello all! You are all doing so well!

Things have gone to pot here, had the festival last weekend which was only a two pound gain but then went out Friday night and I’m 3 more this morning?! Put back on 5 of the 8 that I’d lost now in the space of a week!!
Starting again today and will aim for 800-900 and will drink lots of water. I’ve got nothing going on at all this week that should stop me. 🤞

@Chunkymonkey123 it's hard to drawn the line when you go off a bit sometimes isn't it.

Good you're making a fresh start today and hopefully a few of those pounds will drop quickly. Not having plans can be helpful too.

I was 10:10:1 today - not surprised with two meals and drinks out, it was always going to happen. That's 3 off needed by Thursday if I want to get to the aim of 10:7 to keep making progress.

Really fancy cake today though and not inclined to exercise so will see what happens today and then Mon- Thurs might have to be strict.

I have no willpower at social events so my saturdday wasn’t great. A lot of pizza and icecream eaten. Anyways I’m
10.13.8 today . Really buckling down this week have planned and cooked a lot of my meals and doing 950 cals and 30g carbs most days.

today is
almonds yoghurt berries
feta salad
home made chicken burgers with avacado on side (no bap)

not sure if my date night on sat will happen! But I don’t want another day sending me off plan and seeing a 2 pound again over weekend. Can’t see me dropping 3.8 pounds in 5 days (haha!)

@Chunkymonkey123 if u low carb I find u can blink and loose weight but u can blink and gain it
it will be water and come off asap! Maybe u will have a pound left behind harder to shift!

@Smartmove It's not such a bad thing if you had fun over the weekend and there will always be socials, we have to live at the same time.

I was 10:9:7 today - surprised it went down as also had a cheese toastie and some cereal last night.

That leaves me about 2.5lb to lose to get to 10:7 by Thursday. I don't trust my weigh today though and feel like even if I'm good today there is a risk the scales could go up again tomorrow from a heavy weekend.

Plan today will be low/no carb on your advice!

Very low calorie - I don't usually count but will try to keep track today.

Need ti build in exercise this week, thinking a run today, walk or weights tomorrow, run on Wednesday and weights on Thursday.

Need to get water down me today - not hydrated over the weekend.

Anything else I can do to boost a loss?

It’s so depressing when a night off derails the weight loss but not having those events to make your life more exciting/enjoyable would be a lot more depressing!

agree. Life is for living! I have big social events planned once a week for the next 2 months so just wondering if I forgo the one this week and instead go to cinema or do something else with hubby that doesn’t involve a bottle of wine and food! Will decide on Friday when I look at scales
just breaking my fast now have let that slip a bit need to be strict when fasting

@hollyblueivy just keep carbs low and fasting hours strict.

Ok calorie counting so far

100 - 2x coffee with milk 1 sugar
100 - 150g fat free cottage cheese
250 - 150g chicken
Not counting cals for lettuce, tomato and red cabbage to make salad bowl
2 x pints water

450 cals total

I will try to keep dinner to around 500 cals - not sure what yet.

ive ended on 960 and 30g carbs. I had about 80 cals today which were not needed - extra milk in coffee and 1 celebration!

should have tried for 880 would have been great but anyways I couldn’t resist!

Dinner was homemade butternut squash soup

Ingredients
Whole butternut squash
Red onion
Chillies
Garlic
Chicken stock
Orange pepper
Seasoning

Calories for the soup estimated at 100 per portion (??)

Made a few portions so that's lunch tomorrow sorted.

Ate it with a wholemeal pitta toasted (142) and about 100 calories worth of cheese

So about 350 calories for dinner very roughly estimates.

Plus the 450 for lunch so 800 day. (Not sure how accurate though as not used to calorie counting)

Let me know if you think I'm way off!!

Feel bloated today though so uncertain on scales tomorrow.
