Morning
Fasting today
3 rd week since starting and have lost 3lb so far with 4 to go

Had a tdee blip on Saturday with a 3500cal plus day so did a mini of 1000 cal on Sunday . Kept my average daily cals at 1995 last week

Working at a lateral flow test centre today so planning on herbal tea all day with a 155 cal protein shake at 3 if I struggling
Pot of soup for dinner

20FlowerPower · 09/03/2021 09:49

Morning all, signing in for a FD. I'm wearing skinny black jeans that are a "tad" snug around the waistband and thighs - being reminded of that every single time I move should stop me heading towards the kitchen Confused

KylieKoKo · 09/03/2021 11:53

NFD for me today. I have been going overboard on NFDs lately which has been reflected in very slow weight loss so I am going to focus on not snacking on junk and not having any takeaways or wine on NFDs and I have 4 HIIT/ strength classes planned for this week and have joined a Strava challenge of exercising at least 4 days a week til the end of March.

DP is making me boiled eggs for a late break fast and we have steak with asparagus and green beans for our evening meal. If need to eat during the day I will have a small amount of cheese with a crisp break and some tomatoes some fruit.

KylieKoKo · 09/03/2021 11:54

I am hoping that posting my intention helps me not to dive head first into a bottle of wine and family size packet of crisps later!

harriethoyle · 09/03/2021 12:37

Excellent @20FlowerPower and @Baileyscoffeeandcampfires! I've had beans on toast for lunch for 334 and have 400 for dinner... probably fish and veg I think

harriethoyle · 09/03/2021 12:39

@KylieKoKo I try and aim for dry week days and even if I don't always manage it, it limits any additional wine time. Dry week days are quite a new thing for me and I definitely feel better for it. Posting here for accountability is an excellent idea!

KylieKoKo · 09/03/2021 14:09

@harriethoyle I feel so much better when I don't drink but I really love wine and gin. I'm doing dry in the week too.

harriethoyle · 09/03/2021 14:12

Same same @KylieKoKo but depressingly I've really noticed a difference since I cut down - in both weight loss and general wellbeing

MazDazzle · 09/03/2021 14:48

Fast day for me today. Planning to have hot smoked salmon with roast veg. DH & the kids will have the same, but with pasta.

Cruising through today, not surprising really when I think of all I’ve eats over the last four days! Blush

Still off the fizzy drinks though and trying to cut back on alcohol too. I blame child number 3. I never drank at home before I had kids, but with every child the frequency has increased!

ListeningQuietly · 09/03/2021 15:36

Realised the holes in my jeans were too far gone
so have blagged a pair of my daughter's size 8 skinny leg Grin

Being here each day is doing me good Wink

I’m 2 months dry (a major feat for me!) and that has def helped with consistent weight loss. Annoyingly

RaraRachael · 09/03/2021 16:21

FD for me and going fine so far.
It didn't help seeing a picture of a friend who has lost 5 stone through 5:2 and keto Shock

Benjispruce2 · 09/03/2021 16:26

I’m dry Mon to Thurs and have been since we did dry jan a couple of years ago. Means a couple on a Friday night is all I need! Size 8 skinnies @ListeningQuietly? Well done. I will never fit in size 8 jeans. I’m slightly pear shaped so 10 is as low as I go in jeans. NFD today. Had a poached egg on toast with mushrooms and spinach and a feta salad for lunch.Lean spaghetti bol tonight. Not weighing until Friday as finding the daily fluctuations off putting.

Lilice · 09/03/2021 16:58

NFD for me, I really struggled yesterday. I have to say goodbye to red wine now 😭😭😭 I got my teeth whitened today. I dont know how ill cope because I love red wine, it's my drink. I guess I'll have to switch to white.
My baby wouldn't breastfeed this morning, second time now, so I think that's it and I am done. Hopefully all the fat on my tummy and hips will finally burn away. I look weird with skinny legs and a fat tummy 😅 I'm still exercising every morning, so I have high hopes that my body is going to start getting back to normal. I'm having haggis tonight for dinner 😋

Lilice · 09/03/2021 16:59

@RaraRachael I tried keto in the past, it was torture.

Baileyscoffeeandcampfires · 09/03/2021 17:19

Kitchen closed on 538cals.

Ate early so that I can have breakfast at 9:30 tomorrow and still meet a 16:8 fast interval

ginsparkles · 09/03/2021 17:31

Well done to all today's fasters.

Today was just a little over tdee. So holding steady.

Fast days on Thursday and Friday.

harriethoyle · 09/03/2021 17:35

@Lilice I didn't give up red wine when I had my teeth whitened... just for the few days afterwards, I avoided tea, coffee and red wine. So check with your dentist if it's a temporary or permanent ban!

ListeningQuietly · 09/03/2021 17:51

Rara
The key thing is to lose the weight steadily and ONCE

Benji
I am very lightly built.
Even when my tummy turns into a barrel I have skinny legs
but its why I have to aim for BMI in the 21 range
as even then I have 28% body fat!

Lilice · 09/03/2021 18:07

He joked and said it would mean more business for him if I drank red wine @harriethoyle I think I will still have the odd one from time to time, I couldn't live without. No coffee will be hard as well, as I usually have a few cups on a fast day. Today was my first session, I will have to go again several times 😬

Well done to all the fasters today 👏

I'm going under tomorrow 🤪

harriethoyle · 09/03/2021 18:17

Kitchen closed on 630 here. Has been so much easier today than last week! No rhyme or reason as far as I can see...!

KobaniDaughters · 09/03/2021 18:17

@Lilice I had ceramic braces for 5 (!!!!) years and would drink red wine and coffee with a straw - after the first year I gave that up but steered clear from tea

Benjispruce2 · 09/03/2021 18:46

MFP has been telling me for weeks that if every day was like today I will be 9st 2 in 5 weeks. But every day is roughly the same cals and I’ve been 9st 9-9st 11 for 2 weeks now!

20FlowerPower · 09/03/2021 18:55

Kitchen closing on 503 cals - accompanied by a killer headache since about 4pm though Sad Early night.

ListeningQuietly · 09/03/2021 20:31

Benji
(a) MFP is fallible
(b) are you weighing food
as study after study shows that we under estimate calories
also, make sure you do not add back ANY exercise calories
