Morning morning, checking in for my usual b2b today... after a hangover so bad yesterday I was sick at 7pm!! Will I EVER learn?! On the plus side meant yesterday was a wine free day...! Grin

ilovebagpuss · 08/03/2021 11:04

Good Morning DD1 dropped at school feels positive. Working from home today which is a nice change. One crumpet eaten as I have decided that I need something in the morning mentally.
That will be it until mid afternoon when I might have egg on toast and small portion of veggie chilli no rice slated for Dinner.
Hope everyone’s Monday goes well

KylieKoKo · 08/03/2021 11:40

Good morning fasters, I am also fasting today and have planned a prawn and veg stir fry for my meal.

harriethoyle · 08/03/2021 12:50

263 calories of tuna sandwich for lunch, and fish, broccoli and courgettes for dinner. Should come in a shade under 600 for the day, all things considered

PartTimeDomesticGoddess · 08/03/2021 13:04

I'm planning a Tue and Thu fast again this week. Good luck to anyone fasting today Smile

Echobelly · 08/03/2021 13:10

Started again last week, having done 3 months on 5:2 before just to see what it was like.

Trying a bit harder this time around - last time I tried to have 3 meals but I know two is better, so I've dropped lunch and... I'm finding it suprisingly easy to go without it (just eating an apple instead), which has been a bit of a surprise as I am the sort of person who gets a bit hangry usually! I think my plan now might be to do 5:2 for 3 months, as planned, but then try to do every week day without lunch after that, as that will just drop my daily intake quite a bit at little cost.

Cakecrumbsinmybra · 08/03/2021 13:15

Hi, I'm new to this! Read the book last week and I'm doing Tues and Thurs this week. I want to lose at least 5kg. I exercise most days but I also eat/drink too much, and I find that at 45 my weight is slowly increasing. And then there's lockdown of course!

So I'm all prepped for tomorrow so that I don't have to cook for anyone else or spend much time in the kitchen, and so I know what 500 calories looks like, so no terrible shocks 🤣 I am sure I'm going to really struggle, but I'm also looking forward to the challenge!

Well, what a day! Exhausted isn’t the word. I’m just recovering from year 6 all afternoon. Jeez they’ve forgotten how to behave so it wasn’t the pleasant afternoon I had in mind. Still, I was too busy to think about food and I survived on 2 tbsp of cottage cheese and some green salad.
Omelette tonight.

KobaniDaughters · 08/03/2021 16:25

Welcome @Echobelly and @Cakecrumbsinmybra

I’m aiming for something between a FD and lowcal today, will work it out once I figure out dinner calories. If the latter I’ll do b2b 800cals and then a proper FD on Thursday I think

Was up 3.5lbs this am but have had a weekend of extreme period pains only staved off by sitting on the sofa eating carbs so that’s ok

ListeningQuietly · 08/03/2021 17:25

Benji
I know your pain. My DH is doing online classes with groups of kids and some of them have clearly not had any sort of discipline for a while.
The rest of this term is going to be riot control rather than teaching for some.

Kitchen has just closed on 559 which I'm very happy with. Gives me 740 tomorrow which is great. Vet appointment for the pups at 6 and then a bath to distract myself tonight!

ginsparkles · 08/03/2021 17:58

Welcome @Echobelly and @Cakecrumbsinmybra !

Well done Monday fasters.

Have pea and potato omelette for dinner tonight. Will be closing kitchen on 1698. So under tdee which is pretty good considering I spent most of today in tears.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

ListeningQuietly · 08/03/2021 18:50

Just had eggs light Florentine (LOADS of spinach, three eggs cracked on top, cheese grated over) for supper : its about 400 calories and I'm too full to move

OP posts:
Benjispruce2 · 08/03/2021 18:55

Sounds lush @ListeningQuietly. I skipped the omelette and went with a many veggie(roughageGrin stir-fry with noodles. Around 400 and stuffed.
Flowers @ginsparkles

ginsparkles · 08/03/2021 19:00

@ListeningQuietly supper sounds amazing!

20FlowerPower · 08/03/2021 19:36

Welcome newbies and utmost respect to benji and any other teachers who have returned to the classroom today. I'm on a NFD today and have gone over TDEE...shit weather, tiredness and a very challenging 3 year old all to blame. I'm not beating myself up too badly though, especially given I sneaked in a Mini on Saturday. FD tomorrow and a run/walk in the morning after nursery drop off. Weather is set to improve too.

RaraRachael · 08/03/2021 19:43

Welcome to the newcomers! I try to stick to a Tuesday and Thursday for FDs, apart from pancake day when I changed it to a Monday. I've done ok cutting out carbs as much as possible but disappointed I'd put on a pound since Wednesday.

I seem to be going up and down like a yoyo after 3'4 weeks - is this normal?

ListeningQuietly · 08/03/2021 20:23

Rara
Stop weighing each day.
Drop to once a week at exactly the same time and in the same clothes
it is ENTIRELY natural for your weight to fluctuate

I'm finishing on 498 today. Oh man, today was so hard, mentally and physically 😪 it was great to have the kids back to school but I hated the jack hammer doing works on my street. I'm easily in a bad mood on a fast day. Anyone else? Sometimes I want to stop the 5 2 just for that reason.

Bottl · 08/03/2021 21:04

Kinda checking in. I don't seem to be keeping up with much at all at the moment. Half-heartedly tried to fast today. Made it to lunchtime (which is better than I managed at all last week) and then unravelled a bit. Haven't eaten dinner and not really hungry so will at least avoid those calories.

I really wish I could focus properly.

ListeningQuietly · 08/03/2021 21:07

(((( Bottl ))))
Skip fasting for a week and just focus on
not snacking
and eating mindfully
and get as much sunshine as you can

Bottl · 08/03/2021 21:10

Thanks @ListeningQuietly. I'll try that.

KobaniDaughters · 09/03/2021 01:59

Closing the kitchen on 561

harriethoyle · 09/03/2021 08:50

Good morning! Signing in for day two of b2b. Anyone with me? Feeling strong, with 740 cals to play with... riches beyond compare! Grin
