Blimey Fibberty that is AMAZING.

You must be on cloud 9.

Flightywoman · 03/06/2017 10:59

Well done Flibberty!

We're going out for lunch today with friends BUT I'm driving them to the station later so will avoid the booze which just leaves the carbs to deal with!

I'm largely skipping breakfast - just a spoon of yog to take my meds - to save as many cals as possible for nice lunch.

Fingers crossed!

pico1 · 03/06/2017 11:50

That's amazing Flibberty! I've lost 2.4kg in my first week. My body fat is down and the awful spare tire around my middle that was making me feel so middle-aged is definitely reduced. Am very pleased, considering I haven't suffered too much! Am having 24hrs off plan (due to a night in a lovely hotel and a fancy dinner!) and will do another week and then switch to two days/week I think. Have lovely weekends all!

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 03/06/2017 13:22

does some maths

10lbs Flibberty?! Incredible!

I was 12st7.5 this morning - I think due to arrival of period getting rid of PMT bloat. Certainly keeping me motivated anyway!

Pico - my stomach has definitely reduced. Now if my arse could follow suit I'd be very grateful!

Flibbertyjibbit · 03/06/2017 13:28

Thanks all, google tells me its 10.8 lbs so I'm very happy today. I started last weekend at 127.8 kg and want to get back down to 70kg so I do have a HUGE amount to lose but its a very good start.

I'm really hoping I can stick with this, I've done quite a few first weeks over the last six months and never stuck with it as I relax too much. Thinking a treat won't hurt but it does and then it spirals back to how I used to eat. Really keen to stay focused and keep on with this way of eating for the long term now.

Perdyboo · 03/06/2017 14:38

Your book sounds fab Flibberty, enjoy!

Well done on all the weightlosses peopleSmile

I know exactly what you mean newaveragebear by pushing boundaries, that's what I will be trying hard not to do in the coming weeks.

I weighed myself this morning, am very pleased with first week results. Scales showed 15.10 bf 39.2% so thats 9.5lb loss and bf down by 5.8%. I'll take that!!! Haven't worked out the bmi yet, but I can feel the difference round my middle.
I just popped into sainsburys on the way home from work and arm sleeves on an 18 are too snug, but the rest fits!! (Why do shops not make arms bigger to match the rest of a garment??). Might have treated myself to a size 16 dress in the sale to aim towards (it has no arms!!!)

Perdyboo · 03/06/2017 14:40

Flibberty, my phone has just updated the new messages and I've just read how much your kg loss is in lbs. Go you!!

Flibbertyjibbit · 03/06/2017 17:00

Thanks Perdy, congrats on your great loss too!

PinkBlossomTree · 04/06/2017 19:32

Blimey Perdy that's a AMAZING loss too.

Some absolutely incredible results this week!

Has everyone had a good weekend?

I had good intentions to do some exercise today but it didn't quite happen.

Food wise I came in at 728 cals / 19g carbs

Bringmewineandcake · 04/06/2017 20:25

I weighed a day early this week due to a family party today and I've lost another 1 and 3/4lb. That's 8 and 1/4lb over 3 weeks. I've not gone overboard today and been running round like a mad thing so fingers crossed I don't have to go too hard to cancel out my off plan day!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 04/06/2017 20:48

I've had a good weekend thanks, but eaten a million calories!! And cake. Lots of cake.

Our big birthday boy has now gone go his bed, clutching his new Lego clayface model. Parties over! Diet starts properly tomorrow, I'm all planned out and ready and actually quite looking forward to it

Have a great week everyone!

Perdyboo · 04/06/2017 23:02

Ah newbear that sounds lovely and thank you Pink Smile
My day has been ok, all on plan - mushroom salmon and eggs for breakfast and pork with a ton of green veggies when the family were having roast. I subbed gravy for balsamic vinegar and it was yum!!
I had a sticky half hour tonight where I normally mooch leftover roast spuds or something, so I left a bemused hubby with the kids and marched around the block to get my steps up. Came back and packed all the lunches up for tomorrow and put some raisins to soak to go in my breakfast. And drank LOADS of water!!
Well done too wineandcake - here's to next week :)

AuntieMay · 05/06/2017 08:40

Hi
I did a week of BSD in April then lost the plot due to going to a family funeral and have just returned yesterday from 8 days of lots of alcohol and food in Spain, also no exercise for about 8 weeks as I've had a Achilles tendinitis!
So starting week 1 again today, I'm now 12st 5lb ( still 3lb less than start before and I only did 1 week so amazed). I have just got my first pint of water to drink, am restarting boot camp on Wednesday, and I have 10 weeks until we go back to Spain to feel better about myself - ideally I'd like to be under 11st and under 10st eventually.
I have declined a couple of evening invitations to give me a good shot as that is when my will power/motivation fades so I think I have at least 6 weeks with nothing planned to get a good start!
Does this count as R 2 or can I still say R1 as only did 1 week?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 05/06/2017 08:46

Hi auntie, I'm a habitual restarter and I always count it as R2. I did a proper round one but have never managed the second one so......

Week 3 weigh in. My app has gone haywire so I'm not sure what I've lost this week as I can't remember what I got last week but in total it's 13.9 lbs. so close damn it.

Well I have to say hands down this is the most successful diet I've ever done for weight loss and I've done some stupidly restrictive ones in past years.

For me BSD was only supposed to be a 3.5week brief stint to get me over my plateau that I could not get passed on 5:2.

We are attending a planned wedding reception this Friday and there will be drinking and buffet. I very rarely drink but had planned too.

For me I'm just not quite ready to end my BSD journey here so I plan to go out Friday and enjoy and get back on track on Saturday and continue to week 8.

13.9 lbs down 13 to go... bring it on.

Flightywoman · 05/06/2017 11:20

Week 5 WI - another 2.75 lbs off. 1st 4lbs total.

I am happy with that!

PinkBlossomTree · 05/06/2017 12:02

Amazing Flighty that's so fantastic

tobee · 05/06/2017 12:20

End of week 4 weigh in 3 lbs lost. Best so far! I was a bit concerned because I've played a bit fast and loose with my cals this weekend (not my carbs). Maybe it's my equivalent of a whoosh!Grinso 6 pounds in 4 weeks which is brilliant (for me). And I'm still enjoying it.

I had slices of roast pork with big salad and cheesy cauli mash last night. It was yum! Who needs gravy when you've put a few strands of grated cheddar in yer cauli mash!

Flibbertyjibbit · 05/06/2017 15:01

congratulations on all the losses! Week 2 day 3 here - doing ok but DP has noticed I am still snapping at him much more than I used to. Could this still be me adjusting to lower carb? I am trying to be mindful and not snap but its still happening. Torrential rain here so don't really want to go out to increase my steps, shall try and go for a longer walk tomorrow.

tobee · 05/06/2017 15:06

Yes I was definitely very snappy Blush. Im now back to normal. So a bit snappy. Grin. I think it is carb withdrawal and generally readjusting.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 05/06/2017 18:47

Not had a bad day back on plan. I'm ending the day just slightly over 800 cals, very very low carbs as I've mostly eaten chicken all day and a bit of salad with my dinner. Don't feel too hungry right now although I know the night is young!

OP posts:
Flightywoman · 05/06/2017 19:05

Me too Bear! I slept late so had lunch and supper and had enough cals for yogurt and raspberries for pudding.

I was toying with having a cheat day as it's my WI, but decided to stay on it. I'd like to get to my 1.5st in the next week or two.

Oblomov17 · 05/06/2017 19:26

Well done massively Flibberty and Perdy.

Doing ok here. After my bank holiday 10 days of wine etc, I have put on quite a few pounds and am back to 10 stone 5. Bugger! SadAngry

But yesterday and today dh and I have eaten no breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eg: salad with pastry'less quiche, courgetti and meatballs.

Dh suggested we do a 24 hour fast tomorrow. We are certainly going to try. If worst comes to worst and we succumb and have a dinner, at least we will have fasted for a bit.

Christ. I need this. I want to look good, in 2 weeks time. You've all seen my dress for ds's Holy Communion. I want to look good in it.......

thenewaveragebear1983 · 05/06/2017 19:35

Oblo I'm impressed your dh will do this with you, does he have a lot of weight to lose?
My dh doesn't believe in dieting, as in he doesn't believe in calories and some foods having more or less calories than others and those calories making you put on weight (y'know, like actual science) - so looks at me like I'm performing some kind of hocus pocus when I weigh my food. Every few months or so he'll give up crisps for a few weeks and lose about half a stone. It's not fair!!

OP posts:
Oblomov17 · 05/06/2017 19:48

Yes Bear, he is a type 2 diabetic and is very overweight. He always has been. But then I like big teddy bear men. But I have always thought that he didn't eat enough to warrant being as big as he is. His 5 brothers and sisters are big too. He could do with losing 4 stone at least. However he goes to the gym and is a site manager and often has to go on 5-7 mile walks to inspect the site. His weight has never inhibited him in any way.

I am very short. Never been particularly big. But a stone on me is a huge amount.

Anyway, yes, you are right, at least we have each other to support one another.

I know some of you discussed dismissive mil's etc. And friends making 'go on have just one wine/cake/roadtie' comments!!
I do appreciate that I don't have that!!
