Shiny new thread for the BSD'ers. Best thing you can do is first read the MM bsd book do you get a full grasp of what the rules are but in a nutshell:
800 calories a day
No bread/pasta/potatoes/rice
No processed food, no alcohol
As close to no sugar you can get
Full fat, no low fat
Protein to keep you full
2-3 litres of water a day
10,000 steps a day (work your way up)
HIIT if you can 2-3 times a week

That's great bear, 2lb is nothing. I'm up another .8 this morning so now 11.6.4 - it will straighten out I know, it's just extra food in my system. I was 11.11.8 when I weighed myself last Sunday afternoon, and 11.10 on the Monday so it's going down at least. I was going to do my official WI on Monday but I'm changing it to Tuesday, need Sunday & Monday to undo Thursday-Saturday excess. How I wish weight loss was linear, the flux can be v demoralising.

the flux can be very demoralising
Yy so true. I am back to 11.5.8 which was my pre-holiday weight. If I can lose another 2lbs this week then I will have lost 2 stones in total. Will see how it goes. I had so many great plans for today but was awake from 4-7am this morning so feel shattered. I have a funny feeling this will probably end up as a treat day.

Not2bObvious · 23/07/2016 13:52

I've been running around so much this morning, trying hard not to pick at the bikkies but it's a struggle. Ran nearly 6 miles in 3 parts (run, stop for loo, run, stop to shop, run home) so I'm hoping it goes towards counteracting my munching 😁
Poor place, you must be wrecked. Great that you're so close to 2 stone, that's fab
H3l are you out there? Haven't heard from you in ages, hope you're ok

Morning

Well I fell of the waggon spectacularly yesterday - I'm away with family and can't weigh - probably just as well as I had 2,400 cals yesterday! 700 of it was booze! There is no hiding from MFP. Sadly I gave in to peer pressure and the party atmosphere!

Back on it today. We are walking 6 miles to pub and back so I'm going to have no alcohol and choose a salad for lunch. I don't want to get on the scales and find I've put all of the 6lbs back on tomorrow morning!! Confused

Bear good luck with the viewing!

Not 6 mile run, wow! Surely that must burn heaps of cals?

Place hope you get to have a nana nap!

Dying today, wine/cocktails aplenty last night. And midnight munchies...and morning munchies! Great night though. No drinking today (I'm saying that & I hope I can stick to it...used to love Sunday wine) and no running. I'm sure one of my cocktails probably cancelled out my calorie burn must, I'm scared to put my drinks into mfp. It'll explode and the message will be "if everyday was like this, you'll need a miu miu in 5 weeks & a liver transplant"

OP posts:
mustbemad71 · 24/07/2016 18:24

Lol not2! It was the thought of plugging it into MFP that stopped me from matching everyone else drink for drink!

Omelette for breakkie, roast chicken dinner in pub as no salad on offer. Think I've had my 800 cals so nothing for supper for me here. Drinking copious amounts of water to dilute yesterday's binge!

Not2bObvious · 24/07/2016 18:48

Well done for going back to plan must, I have eaten everything & then some today. Just woken from a 2 hour nap and feel less grim but look like a hot mess. Be tomorrow before human status is achieved. I'd say I've polished off 2500. 3 positive things today though (as was reminded this is something MM mentions to think of in the book)

  1. I'm in great humour after having a wonderful night out with Dh despite hangover
  2. The kids are being sweet & crazy instead of driving me crazy
  3. I haven't drank, making my plan of only drinking twice a week a success
OP posts:
mustbemad71 · 24/07/2016 18:57

Not2 I absolutely agree with your positives - life is about balance and we will get to our goal.

I'm now treating myself by going in our hot tub with a sparkly water, lemon and lime. There are rewards and treats other than grub and booze as you point out!

APlaceOnTheCouch · 24/07/2016 20:12

A hot tub sounds lovely (assuming it has some sun to go with it) 🌞
I woke up with a migraine this morning so haven't eaten much and have done even less. Dinner will be whatever DH rustles up or phones in.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 24/07/2016 20:20

Well today didn't happen much either.... I think I'm restoring energy levels after my lurgy. And my rose wine levels. And my m&m levels.....
Tomorrow, Monday, is definitely the day. I go on holiday on Friday. 4 good days of 800 cals, deffo.
(This is what I was talking about earlier in the thread. I am just rubbish at getting back on it!)

APlaceOnTheCouch · 24/07/2016 20:27

Now I want m&m's...but will have to settle for mini dark chocolate rocky road.

Not2bObvious · 24/07/2016 20:50

I managed to drag myself out of my pit & did an hour walk, no hope of running - the joints needed a rest anyway.
We'll all be on it like a car bonnet tomorrow, lets really aim for a good 4-5 days of on track behaviour. Good sleeps all round & fresh start ok my peeps😘

Place they weren't even nice, they were 'crispy' m&ms in the blue wrapper. Boooooo!

APlaceOnTheCouch · 24/07/2016 21:48

Ew - not feeling as jealous now. The blue ones are the worst Grin
I've had half a Chinese (no rice, no heavy sauce mainly just chicken and veg so not too bad for carbs or cals).
Tomorrow may be a treat day tbh as I didn't have one yesterday and I'm feeling a bit wobbly (migraine aftermath) but will see how I feel in the morning.

mustbemad71 · 25/07/2016 08:27

WI - 0.2lb on since Friday but a 5.5lb loss for week one overall. Not too bad considering the indulgences of the weekend! Hoping for another decent loss this week to keep me firmly in the 11s!

Have a good day everyone Grin

Well done must ! They're fab losses Star
keep that's great that you have a better idea of how many cals you had at the weekend because you can adjust accordingly.
I've lost my holiday weight and another 0.2lbs. This week's aim is to hit 2 stones loss.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 25/07/2016 13:55

Hi everyone, I've been good so far today. Had a chicken drumstick for breakfast and have just had salad for lunch with some real French pâté on some corn thins (look like rice cakes but made of sweet corn, figured they were higher in protein than normal crackers?)- haven't worked the calories out yet but I have got s lot of steps in as I've been cleaning! Your weight losses all sound great! I'm also hoping for a few pounds before holiday but there will be no bikini for me, that ship has long sailed....

Not2bObvious · 25/07/2016 14:01

No weigh in this morning, tomorrow will be the day. So far so good today, didn't get my steps in yet - hope to get them done later. Feeling very bloated today, jeans are beat on. I was 11.7.6 last Tuesday, fingers x'ed I'm down from that tomorrow. Bloody weekend debauchery, ruins days of effort😡

OP posts:
notsoold · 25/07/2016 14:34

Weigh in today for me!!! A lie as I wwigh everyday to keep my motivation...
My loss this week was 3.2kg or 7lb...7lb!!! Altogether since I started on the 20th June I lost 18lbs. I lost my way for 2 of those weeks and put some weight on and then it clicked more...
I am happy because I never lost this fast and this much since ever.
I for convenience still doing the shakes . I cook my vegetables for the day the night before. But not able to cook with our days quite chaotic.Milk has been a big trigger to reach for sweet things (even milk in tea)...
Not exercised at all apart from pushing our pushchair with a 14kg boy and a 6 kg baby...

mustbemad71 · 25/07/2016 14:50

Wow Notsoold that's amazing - congrats! Can I ask what shakes you are using please? How do you feel on them? Starving all the time or did you get used to them after a while?

Not2bObvious · 25/07/2016 15:22

That is fantastic notso, well pleased for you. So is this week 4 or 5? What's the thoughts on what you'll do when the 8 weeks are up, have you far to go to goal weight. I really have to stop faffing about & get my act together, trying to be positive but feel v stuck. Of course it could be carb come down lol

OP posts:
notsoold · 25/07/2016 16:03

I use the atkins one as recommended here. Slimfast had more carbs and made me more hungry. I am as hungry as if I was cooking the same amount of calories....
I tried cooking but if I cook I never get to eat with the toddler and baby and I started reaching for the food in his little plate.
But not starving so much considering that 800 is about a third of what I used to eat Blush
