Yah place!! Welcome to the 11's, you must be thrilled, well done.
Bear, 6 weeks girl, eyes on the prize now - that's enough time to really make a difference, you've come a fantastic way so far, home stretch. I've done nearly 8000 steps, and in those steps was a 12-15 minute jog so I'm thrilled. I've no idea how much my KB class burned but if the burn I'm feeling is anything to go by, it wasn't too shabby. Feeling pretty positive now, lot of day left though so can't get complacent

Oh my god I'm craving biscuits, bread and general crap!!!

Am off to water the polytunnel in a bid to get over it. Help!!

Not2bObvious · 12/06/2016 17:57

Water yourself too oola, big glass of water and maybe a cube of cheese? I've been lazing away the rest of the afternoon gin&t's a plenty Foods been pretty good although I could murder a Chinese😩--

Not2b thank you! I am thrilled. I started BSD at the heaviest I had ever been. I had a pot belly and had crept over 13 stone.
I still have a long way to go but my stomach is much flatter. And I think as long as I keep posting to stay motivated, I will reach a healthy weight again. I am going to make a chicken curry to celebrate.

Not2bObvious · 12/06/2016 18:50

You're welcome place and remember you've a lot less to go than when you started, give your koudos (not sure if I spelled that right!) for your progress, I think we become conditioned to think of ourselves always at our starting weight. You done good, real good 😉

I've lost 7.5lbs so far, so pleased. Made lamb meatballs and salad for tea. Week one done.

Elvish · 12/06/2016 20:08

Well done Grace and Place, keep it up Bear, very impresses with an under tdee Saturday Not!

I've had another bad day with a hangover and 2 pub meals, but that's by birthday over and I'm back on it in a serious way from tomorrow.

Not2bObvious · 12/06/2016 20:24

7.5 is massively impressive Grace, your food looks/sounds amazing.
I caved and had Chinese but the rest of the day was good so I'm going to accept I enjoyed it, and now it's done. Same prescription for you Elvish😉 Hope you enjoyed your birthdayFlowers

Oh it's awful when you get an idea in your head isn't it not - so hard to shift it when it sneaks in?!

I ate a load of pork and felt ill afterwards - aargh....

Well done Grace. Good work!

Not2bObvious · 13/06/2016 06:55

Sure is oola, my cheat meal idea was supposed to take care of that, and to be fair I'd wanted Chinese on Friday but had a night of eating junk instead. Still some learning to be done for me obviously.
Achy this morning, trying to decide if I can manage a run...jury's out

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 13/06/2016 08:27

Me again! (sorryBlush) The run is done, well let's be honest, shuffle. Managed 25 minutes so I'm improving but I find running like golfing can show great promise or complete defeat, so I won't get too confident yet. Looking forward to Greek yog & strawberry for breakfast on about an hour, eggs for lunch, steak & salad for dinner. And of course lashings & lashings of ginger beer water. How's everyone else this morning? Feeling ready for a good bsd day?

I am so impressed by your dedication to exercising Not2b Star for effort!

I had an awful night's sleep so am struggling to get motivated this morning but I did have a nice NSV. I have a long-line tunic top that I have had for a few years. As I got heavier and heavier it started to snag on my hips, then on my tummy. I put it on this morning and it is hanging straight!

I am going to have salad or soup for lunch (depending on what's left in the canteen) then probably home-made fish cakes for dinner.

Not2bObvious · 13/06/2016 11:17

Hurrah for the nsv place and thanks for my Star😁 To be honest on the exercise I don't think about it too much - I go for the Nike approach - Just do it. I wasn't going to go out until this evening but when I saw the weather forecast was bad for after 8, I just threw my gear on. I got drowned on the way home anyway but I was like a sweaty Betty by then so it was quite nice!
My philosophy these days is summed up by the "Just do it" saying and "You don't have to like it, you just have to do it" - if I'm in the right mood it takes the angst out of overthinking. Of course other days my big saying is "F*ck it" 😉

OP posts:
oolaroola · 13/06/2016 19:06

Ha ha not. Well I'm well impressed with all your exercise - mine has gone to the wall. I've just been too busy and stressed with work. Once it all calms down I'm gonna get back on it though because I was actually enjoying it!

That's a great victory place love it when your clothes feel better, the too tight feeling is quite unpleasant.

APlaceOnTheCouch · 14/06/2016 13:53

How is everyone today? It is freezing here so I am fantasising about making a nice pot of soup when I get home. I was down 0.4lbs this morning but I always find I fluctuate during the week so I'm just as likely to have put it back on by tomorrow Grin

Not2bObvious · 14/06/2016 14:58

I'm having a terrible munchie day😕 Totm is approaching, which explains it a bit - I can't handle hunger some months, I had been getting better but today, meh. The carbs got me👹

OP posts:
oolaroola · 14/06/2016 17:16

I'm knackerd, hungry and have another headache!
Can't wait til all this work stress is over and I can concentrate on being healthy and relaxed again.
I also read today that they are now predicting that we're going to have the wettest June ever!! Aargh!!
Surely that's not true? It just can't be.

oolaroola · 14/06/2016 17:17

Sorry, that's all quite moany.

Not2bObvious · 14/06/2016 17:22

Ah no, I can't take rain after having a taste of nice weather. Work stress is awful oola, and if you're tired and hungry that would give anyone a headache. Amy chance you could have something to eat with a little salt? Problem I had with work stress was it didn't end when the workday ended, it came home with me, woke me in the middle of the night. I changed job last year cause of it - then ended up with different work stress...go figure. I hope it passes soon and you're not moaneyFlowers
I've managed to stop munching, although I'm at 900 and still haven't had dinner. I think this could be a f*ck it day😉

Elvish · 14/06/2016 18:04

Hi Everyone.

A good couple of days on plan under my belt and I've lost the weekend bloat and another lb so I'm now sitting nicely at a round 11st. Fingers crossed for hitting the 10s soon - it's been a long time and I miss them!

Can anyone advise on psyllium husks please? I have some capsules that arrived today and the label says to take up to 3 a day - is this just a ploy to make you take them all and buy more or do I really need that many? TMI warning - I'm not feeling constipated but I'm only going every 3 days or so and I was hoping these would help. If anyone wise in the ways of such things can give me a hint I would appreciate it. The capsules are 610mg each?

Not2bObvious · 15/06/2016 05:54

Excellent to be at 11 Elvish, I'm willing you into the 10's take me with you On the psyllium husk capsules, when I have a mind to, I.e. remember to take them, I take 2 before my main meal with a full glass of water. I "think" it took a couple of days of that to establish, ahem, a rhythm. Fact is less food in, less food out. But if you suffer from a sluggish bowel like I do, this plan can really slow things too much. I need to get better at taking them. So 2 a day imho is enough, they're pricey as well! Of course they want you taking more.
I had an off plan day yesterday, carbs well & truly sent me off plot (see how I blame the carbs, couldn't be Mrs Picky Knickers hereBlush)
Felt quite sickly last night. And I'm out tonight as well, I really will have to make a proper attempt to hydrate and eat well during the day. Haven't gone near a scales for 4 days and don't think I will until Friday. But then I wonder should I just get it over with? Struggling with catastrophic thoughts, like I ate some sweet potato fries - I'm back to 13 stone immediately! I ate crisps, boom, my jeans aren't going to close.
Hmmm, maybe my hormones have taken over, cause this isn't rational is it? Or have I really gained 2 stone overnight?? Think I need to weigh in

OP posts:
thenewaveragebear1983 · 15/06/2016 06:37

I would hop on the scales not2be but I weigh virtually every day because then either you'll be pleased you haven't done too much damage, or you'll see what a few days free rein has done and possibly be more inclined to stop yourself. I am at the mercy of my hormones sometimes, so I know the feeling, plus the catastrophic thinking too. I'm sure it won't be as bad as you fear, plus remember you may be retaining some water too.

Elvish · 15/06/2016 06:44

Thanks Not, I'll try 2 a day for a bit and see what happens.

Would it be worth having a week off cal counting and just sticking to the med diet until you're past your totm? If we're in this for the long hall - and I know I am - then a week off in a lifetime of better eating isn't really a set back.

Oblomov16 · 15/06/2016 07:47

Enjoying reading all your success! Is H3 in Italy? Minus her old 2 stone!!
I have put on a few lbs. i thought I was doing ok, with a few minor indiscretions - red wine and very hot chilli nuts whilst watching football - but clearly not. I need to be very strict. Even stricter. Clearly.
