peas I am impressed that you made a korma. No matter how often I try, my korma are always a failure.

We had a Jamie Oliver chicken tray bake tonight as I had chicken to use up.Then 2 squares of chocolate. Too many carbs and not enough steps.

Just a quick check in whilst I load up some fitness blenders - I love their stuff too, a great find thanks to this thread Flowers

Weighed in this morning at 11.1 so I'm feeling really positive about getting into the 10 sometime next week - although a weekend away at the bank holiday could skupper that...

I also decided to stop putting off buying new underwear and get some bras that aren't baggy - one back size and 2 cup sizes down! I've not been this bra size since I had a major diet over 10 years ago and pre 2DC Grin

Not2bObvious · 26/05/2016 07:01

Well done Elvish! I'm not going near the scales until tomorrow, I hope we can be twins again this week 😉 I think fitnessblender are excellent, delighted I've introduced them to you guys. Great resource. Feel much much better this morning, praise be! The power of a decent sleep. Got to be strong today 😡

Morning all. Some very inspiring stuff on here. I have a long drive and working lunch at a carby cafe today (checked ahead, not one thing without bread, it's in a village bakery) so skipping breakfast and will be soup for dinner! Going to arrive early and go for a walk to get some steps in. Did Body Pump yesterday and ache all over! Any good weights workouts on Fitness Blender that are 10 mins or so? Most days I will do better with 2 short workouts than 1 longer. Not weighing myself till Saturday but work pants feel looser - yay Smile. Have a good day all. I will think of you and try to swerve the carrot cake at lunch ...

Peasandsweetcorn · 26/05/2016 07:56

Gah! A pound on here. Not what I wanted to see today. 800 cal day here today. ..

APlaceOnTheCouch · 26/05/2016 08:04

I'm a pound down today. If only I could lose another pound by the end of the week then I would have lost a stone in my 8 weeks.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 26/05/2016 09:05

Morning, half off for me today (actually yesterday) which is good all things considered for the week I've had. Struggling to get my steps in, and I've got a mystery pain in my heel which is preventing me from putting on trainers let alone actually running! It started as a blister and now my whole ankle is swollen and extremely painful. I'm a little concerned that I have some sort of infection although from the outside it looks just like a tiny blister. Going away tomorrow, taking my kit so I can use the fitness suite on site, but I'm hoping for reasonable weather to get outdoors instead! Have a good one everyone!

Sputnik · 26/05/2016 09:18

lookingforhope here you go: workouts 10-12 mins if you go on their site you can search by length, type, difficulty etc. You can then have fun scheduling them on your calendar.
Then you have to actually do them!

Not2bObvious · 26/05/2016 10:45

I don't like the sound of that ankle at allbear, could you pop in a chemist & ask what they think? I certainly wouldn't push the steps. Well done on another half gone. I'm nervous about WI tomorrow, Tuesday was a disaster & yesterday was only ok.
I'm thinking of going to a weight class tonight as I didn't do my kb workout this morning, be good to get some professional direction for a change.

Bear - do you live in the S East, have you been running, walking in heathland, or through long grass? Am concerned it's a tic bite, can be very nasty, get to the chemist/docs for a look-see, doesn't sound right to me.

There's lots of positive postings this AM, am going to use these as motivation & forget I had another 1/2 bottle of wine with sis-out-law last night, poss more as the 3 of us did 2 bottles....... Must focus on swimming cozzie, 2 weeks to go, then Sicily beckons.....2lbs to go to 12st, my pre-holiday tgt weight. When we get back I'll need to shift what I put on from Italian indulgences then another 1.5 stone to go by October. Gulp.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 26/05/2016 11:42

Thanks all for your concerns! No, h3l3na I am in the midlands; I am relatively sure that it has started from a blister. I've just seen the pharmacy and they gave me mag sulphate paste so hopefully that will work, no chance of a doctors appointment before we leave tomorrow! I have always said that too much exercise was bad for me, this confirms it Grin

H3l3naGraham · 26/05/2016 15:17

Fingers crossed bear - have a good break!

Not2bObvious · 26/05/2016 16:05

Only 2 weeks to your hols H3l, I'm Envy. You lucky thing, I've still nearly 6 weeks to go. Last push now for the cozzies😉

Hi not2b - have been reading book about Sicily, well excited, culture, scenery, sea, volcanos, boutique hotels & DH doing the driving as zero tolerance on the alcohol front, not 1mg/ml or whatever is permitted in the blood.... Will actually be good for us during the day as I can hardly get half cut if he's been volunteered for duty behind the wheel....can foresee lots of swimming, walking along the beach & prosecco in harbour-front bars.... Sighs....

Will only work if I don't totally go mental over the next 2 weeks & screw up my fantasy! Have already been bad today (sis-out-law v v depressed = wine & things to do to cheer her up) but have announced to all that there is NO kitchen tonight. So the evil things we ate for lunch will have to suffice until breakfast tomorrow.

H3l3naGraham · 26/05/2016 17:38

Hmmmm..... Today is going to be a write off.... Best, best, lovely friend has just been diagnosed with very aggressive form of bladder cancer. Suspect bottle is going to be hit rather hard tonight, I must refrain from thoughts like "why bother dieting, life is so short" etc on basis that being 'slimmer' will make me more healthy, whilst I drink my not inconsiderable body-weight in wine....At least the bastard disease hasn't spread to his other organs. thenewaveragebear1983 · 26/05/2016 19:08

That's such sad news h3l3na , Flowers I would be doing the same in your situation.

Elvish · 26/05/2016 20:08

So sorry to hear that H3, what an horrible thing cancer is. EnvyFlowers

clare8allthepies · 26/05/2016 20:35

Oh no what awful news H3, I was coming on here to whinge about a grotty evening wrangling hyper children by myself but that really puts it into perspective. Sad Thanks

APlaceOnTheCouch · 26/05/2016 20:46

h3l3na that's awful news - I'm so sorry Flowers

lookingforhope · 26/05/2016 21:19

h3l3na so sorry, that's awful news. Flowers

lookingforhope · 26/05/2016 21:20

(and thanks for the link Sputnik )

H3l3naGraham · 26/05/2016 21:25

You are all very kind people, thank you for your thoughtful words, much appreciated. Life and perspectives are looming large in my thoughts, trying hard not to cry, bestest mate rang up & said he might end up carrying a bag instead of a bladder, we joked that he'd have to put it in a handbag which matched mine....SadSadSadSadSadSadShockShockShockShockShockShocksigning off for the night now or I'll get maudlin. Sorry.
