Well done Mopsy - great figure after just 2 weeks! - Not2b - is the 1 X treat meal, literally that, eat on-diet with 1 night a week off, relaxing the food & eating relatively normally? Not heard of this, but sounds do-able and is a good solution to our weekenditis issues.

Not2bObvious · 17/05/2016 11:49

Considering how much damage I can do in night, I've reduced it to 1 meal (includes starter & dessert if really wanted) So like having a Chinese or Indian once a week and having what you want - not what you think you should have. Let's see how it goes😁

Sorry you'll see it referred to my skinny types as cheat meal, not treat reminds self am not dog

Got it not2b - woof.......... Wink!!

Not2bObvious · 17/05/2016 18:17

Finished the day at 1050 due to freezer issues...what I thought was small chicken breast turned out to be a pork chop. D'oh, that added to cals a bit plus another small additions but that's good enough for me. Kitchen closed, day 2 of 4 done

OP posts:
APlaceOnTheCouch · 17/05/2016 19:44

Not2b how do you manage finishing the day at 6.17pm? What do you do to avoid snacking later? It seems such a long time till bed once dinner is finished.

Not2bObvious · 17/05/2016 20:16

No much room for snacks on 800-1000 cals, snacks are what got me lardy in the first place. I've no calories left so basically I take myself away from food sources and don't eat anything else. I did 5:2 for a loonnnggg time & me oh my snacking was beat out of you in your induction 😁

Hello couch - I try hard to eat in a tight time-window too, I have breakfast about 10AM, then we have dinner at 7PM, unless we are out, socialising. It helps with weight-loss as the body has a longer time without food, you get used to it after a while, honest!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 18/05/2016 00:16

Me too, I eat with the DC at between 5 and 6 and then don't eat until brunch/10am earliest. I was always a breakfast fan so that was harder to break than the evenings. Right now I'm up with baby ds who has decided this week that he wants 2 night feeds instead of one despite being 8 months old and weighing 25lbs and it feels like a very long time til morning and a very long time since tea......

Not2bObvious · 18/05/2016 06:36

Morning all. After my virtuous talk of kitchen closed, I couldn't sleep last night & ended up making my almond milk&pb2 shake😳 It did the trick thankfully. I am starving this morning but also flying high as scales back down to 11.4 (was 11.4.2 last Friday, my official WI day) So I have 2 days to improve on that to complete my 4 weeks post BSD. I also realised its 3 months since I got into this. Ok, I haven't quite managed to lose as much as others - to date 12-14 pounds up/down - but I'm still so happy I started this.
Might start the day with another shake, love them & they keep me happy enough for a few hours

Morning! Starting week 7 here. Wi this morn and am down again by nearly 3 lbs!!
Very pleased with myself.
Onwards and downwards hopefully.

Won't reach my target in the next 2 weeks so will tag on another couple of weeks or so before moving to maintenance.

Snacking is my downfall too not - well done on your downward momentum too!!

Not2bObvious · 18/05/2016 07:14

Well done oola - what's your total loss over the 7 weeks?

OP posts:
oolaroola · 18/05/2016 07:23

A stone in 6 weeks cos just starting week 7 today, which I'm pretty chuffed with.

oolaroola · 18/05/2016 07:23

It's hard though isn't it?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 18/05/2016 07:27

Morning, it's day 56 today! I've fiiiiiiniiiiiished! It's my weigh in today and I think its the last session on my pre-paid at slimming world, so I will have to make the decision whether to keep going after this. Really not sure, because although I'm not following the sw plan, I do like the recipes and I have some friends there and quite enjoy the social side. However, I shall be outed as a fraud if they find out I've been calorie counting and eating full fat dairy products!
I'm going away at half term so I'm going to keep going at 800 (ish) a day until then, might have a non-calorie counted but sugar free holiday (I think I'll manage it now the cravings have gone) and then back on 800 for a few more weeks. I'm down to 11.11 this morning (from 13.2 on day 1) , so 1st 5, but I'd like to lose another stone and a bit.
I can honestly say I'm delighted to have made it to the end of 8 weeks. I can't believe how much weight I've lost and how much better I feel. And thanks to all on this thread for your inspirational words and your friendly advice. FlowersWine

Elvish · 18/05/2016 07:48

Morning all, I too suffered a bad case of weekenditis. Had a cheat meal - fancy Chinese restaurant - on Sunday night and it's taken me until today to get back to Sunday mornings weigh in.

A colleague of mine is doing a gym boot camp 8 week thing, and they are allowed a cheat meal every other week. They can eat whatever they want in an hour, which I think is very clever as if it was me a "meal" could last all night as I had a starter, main, cheese course, desert... Even if you just ate lard and custard the time limit would keep a bit of control in there!

I'm still trying to do 800 every day but allowing myself wine one or 2 nights a week, my version of 5:2 whilst not going mad. It's been about 3 months now and I've lost 2st 1. Want another 1st7 off to put me well in the healthy bmi range.

Losses have slowed right down, but a pp has reminded me that I'm probably not drinking enough water so this weeks aim is to up that. And now my back has recovered from gardening I really need to get doing some exercise again.

Good luck with the rest of the week, koko and fingers crossed for smaller numbers.

H3l3naGraham · 18/05/2016 08:31

Well done newbear - I am on this long-term as like you, I need to shift more, 1.5st so it will be a while until I can park the book onto the bookcase! I know that SW is the opposite of what BSD is, but once I get to my tgt weight, I will be swapping to Mediterranean maintenance, as for me the principles are essential for a healthy life. Hope you stay on with me & not2b, elvish the other long-termers!

Glad that your back is better elvish - back pain is no fun - I couldn't walk yesterday as we went out for a planned lunch, but will be donning my trainers later inbetween downpours!

Low-carb Bircher for brekkie, chick-pea & tuna salad for lunch, steamed asparagus for dinner with a dribble of hollandaise, that will see me in at just under 800.

Not2bObvious · 18/05/2016 08:32

Really great losses guys! Fab work😉 Yep oola, it's tough enough. But I try fail not to think about it too much. I think the hardest thing for me is if I don't have food with me and I am famished - that's when I'd love a sandwich but I don't cave so that's a huge change in behaviour for me. Wrt keeping going, I'm unsure how I'll manage, but I'm determined not to regain my weight again. I can't be 12, 12.7, 13, 13.7 again, I just can't

RESULT!!!! Just got on scales, am now 12st 4lbs, lowest for years & years & years!!!! Trying for another 1/2st in 4 weeks which is when we go on hols, am so happy! Know this is still a colossal weight in comparison to many on this thread, but equally I know that many are in my weight area, so there is hope ladies, hang on in there!! I now look a bit more normal as opposed to a total wobbly bucket of lard, wearing most size 16s without too many issues, am just about to take a load of baggy trousers to the charity shop & the Sally Army container, then will go on my walk! Smile

MarvellousCake · 18/05/2016 09:49

Hooray, H3. That's great. I've been to bootcamp at the park this morning (actually managed to wake up in time), and am wearing some trousers for work that I have avoided for a loooong time (size 12 - Jigsaw). Very pleased with that.

secretly I'm a bit pissed off to have been stuck at the same weight for about 2 weeks, but am trying to see the positive side

Not2bObvious · 18/05/2016 10:00

Brilliant H3l! And go way with your bad self, colossal weight indeed - you're a wee slip of a girl😉 Honestly though, when you see some folk having 4/5/6/7 stone to lose, it must be so hard to imagine getting there. I had nearly 4 stone to lose at one point and I was devastated - and I still haven't managed it, still have 1.5 to go. Eyes on the prize, 7 pounds we can do it in 4 weeks 😁

H3l3naGraham · 18/05/2016 10:19

Thank you ladies, couldn't do it without you all there as my touchstone! Smile Yes we can do it not2b - holidays, here we come!!!!

marvellous because I keep on having a social life (!!) which involves wine (hic) I have been static for, er, About 4 weeks.... Serves me right, what I lose I put on again through 'relaxing' but was listening to MM on R2 this AM & he struggles too, his problem is chocolate, mine is what I loosely call 'enjoying life to the full'......, been a bit quieter this week & will be next so I am hoping for some more downwards movement!

^^ I can relate to this! I am fluctuating by about 1lbs up and down. My ??? (whatever the acronym is when something positive happens that isn't weight loss) this morning was that I noticed my knee-high boots are zipping up more easily. Obviously since it's May, I would much rather be wearing my sandals but I will take any joy where I can find it!

Well done H3l3na you are going to look fab on your holiday!

Not2bObvious · 18/05/2016 11:25

I'm the same with either being stuck on the same weight or within 1-2 pounds of it. I know what it is, it's hardly a mystery to me, since I trudge in every Monday with tales of woe soaked in wine What I'm lacking is consistent good behaviour

Hello
Lightest I've been on a Wednesday this morning at 10st3. Desperately want to be 10st 2 by Sat and 10st by end of the month but may have just sabotaged that by eating a lot of leftover chocolate icing. Oops. So far today, I've just had Greek yogurt, lentil soup with grated cheese and an apple so I'll aim not to eat again today as that will minimise the calorie impact although not the effect on blood sugar!
