My face has changed shape. I've lost weight in my face.
But, I saw some photos of me last week and I 'imagined' that I was going to look REALLY different, and my size and shape were going to be REALLY different.
But, they weren't.
Maybe I need another stone, to get that?

TheWoodenSpoonOfMischief · 30/03/2016 11:34

How much have you list so far?
I guess it depends in how tall you are too. I'm not very tall and even a few lbs can make a difference to how I look.

H3l3naGraham · 30/03/2016 11:52

Good for you woodenspoon - sweets & cake type stuff present no issue for me, it's wine and I have recently discovered, since it's off limits, how much I like a slice of bread too. You only have 10 mins to go, drink lots & lots of water, it helps with keeping your system regular & will also help flush out your kidneys etc.

For lunch I am about to have some home made mushroom soup, easy to make, mushies, half an onion, some garlic, veggie stock & herbs, I heat it up & bung it in the blender. Won't win any competitions, but is warm, filling & lean.

zobalina77 · 30/03/2016 12:16

I love soup, so quick and easy. Made cauliflower cheese soup last night, it was yum.

H3l3naGraham · 30/03/2016 14:33

Hello Obs - are you sure you aren't being tough on yourself? I think possibly that if you see a 'bit of a change' others will see more, especially folks who haven't seen you for a little while. I caught up with some mates I haven't seen for 4 weeks and they all commented on my 'massive' change, very nice of them, considering I've 'only' lost 20lbs and have 1.5 stone to go..., but even DH is commenting so perhaps people see me differently from how I see myself?

Mellowautumn · 30/03/2016 15:13

Wow just weighed myself at the end of the 1st week have lost 10lbs even with a naughtyish day yesterday .

Not2bObvious · 30/03/2016 15:57

I noticed my face looking leaner too Obs and same as you I thought I must look so different but snap, I don't really. I'm about 10lb down give or take, it'll definitely take me another 7-10 for it to show but then let's face it as women we always judge ourselves harshly. Anyway we'll get there and we're closer to it than x no. of weeks ago.
20lb is a decent chunk of shelf ass H3l 😉
Some start to week 1 meadow, enjoy the feeling, it'll drive you in dark times 😁

Mellowautumn · 30/03/2016 16:32

Lol thanks Not2 - i know its ging to get harder

H3l3naGraham · 30/03/2016 18:19

Yep, Not2B I have been packing some ass over recent years... And stomach, rather large boobs, never mind the swelling face, Miss Piggy ain't got nothin' on me........Wink

Zobalina - I love cauli-cheese - how did you make cauliflower cheese soup without milk? Did you use almond milk or soya please? Or was it just stock, cheese & the cauli?

TheWoodenSpoonOfMischief · 30/03/2016 19:15

Day 1 done!
It was hard but I've had my dinner and that's it for the day.
I'll do my yoga after I've put the kids to bed.

Some fab losses here! 10lbs in one week?! Wow.

Elvish · 30/03/2016 19:35

Hi, marking place after a heavy weekend, put on 4lb due to bread, wine, chocolate and gin!

Elvish · 30/03/2016 19:37

Didn't mean to post that....Blush

Anyway, hello newbies hope you're all doing ok. I'm going to try to keep under 800 this week as we're on holiday from Monday with the kids and I won't be on plan.

However much I loose I'll be back to do another 4 weeks after the Easter holiday - I'm determined.

Not2bObvious · 30/03/2016 20:10

Hi Elvish, didn't mean to post your confession 😁 Oh don't worry, you didn't gain 4lb unless you ate a bakery & 2 ton of choc - tis only carb bloat, be gone soon
If we're confessing, I'll have to admit to wine x3 AF has hit town and brought her mighty cravings with her with a dose of the moany'arse'ness. My poor long suffering DH (who if I ever confessed my dreadful carry on would be told to LTBitch- but I only mean for my moany'arse'ness not cause I'm a non washing/financial draining etc etc - I'm non of those things promise) had to listen to my warblings about how I want prawn cocktail crispsBlush So I'm settling for wine before my dds descend for night time cuddles & "chat"
Oy vey...

I'd forgotten about the crisps Not, and profiteroles Shock

zobalina77 · 30/03/2016 21:37

H3l3na, the soup was just onion, cauliflower and stock. Then I blitzed it after simmering for half an hour. Added a bit of creme fraiche and grated cheese on top.

agteacht · 30/03/2016 23:08

Thanks not2beobvious and Helena for the encouragement! How much have you lost to date on this way of eating?

Was sure I posted this earlier but must have messed up somehow. Really glad to hear not hitting exactly 800 kcal isn't the end of the world. Today I managed 812 so an improvement on yesterday's nearer 900. It was just because my husband forgot to cook part of our tea though!! Grin

Well there was slight movement on the scales this morning so I'm feeling positive and looking forward to seeing what day 3 brings!!!

Mellowautumn · 31/03/2016 00:29

Crap day - visited friend with termi al cancer and she served me cheese and buiscuits- ended up with Carb cravings combined with sadness so just ate normal tea with kids :(

Not2bObvious · 31/03/2016 06:48

Oh Mellow, your poor friend- life's very cruel😔 Times like that are outside of plan & require no recriminations or second thoughtsFlowers

Obs2016 · 31/03/2016 07:45

Morning everyone.
We are all doing so well.

I suspect that 4lb gain isn't a real one and will drop off just as quick!!

I have been doing a bit better. But I still snuck in a bit of chocolate and now I wish I hadn't. I will try today.

Must be strict, must be strict, Chant chant!!!!!!

Not2bObvious · 31/03/2016 08:34

Did it Obs, it was only a bit of chocolate, next time remember how irked it made you feel & push it aside. Every days an opportunity to do a little better. Down 2.4 today, whoosh! 11.5.2😁 Haven't been that weight for a couple of years, in fact last time I was doing 5:2 and that was much harder than this. Today I need to keep the water intake up (Totm will cause bloat no doubt) and the carbs right down. Out tomorrow night for dinner & drinks, restaurant looks to have some good fishy choices - elected!

H3l3naGraham · 31/03/2016 09:53

Morning all, my goodness it's been busy. Anyone got a cure for a constant Daisy Wheel on an iPad...? I'd have been back online before now if this blasted piece of kit would work properly Angry

zobalina thank you for the recipe, have large cauli lurking in my fridge and the soup sounds like the lunch solution for the next few days. Having to be flexible with the veggies on this diet as there's only so much my fridge can take & now the weather's a tad warmer I can't stuff all the excess veg into the garden...

Elvish worry ye not, I had a very, very bad Easter Sunday too but 2 days later the wine & spud blow-out had disappeared. Phew.

woodenspoon & Mellow - it does get easier, as I have just told DH - he was licking his breakfast bowl clean......to ensure he got all the non-carb Bircher off it......Grin

Agteacht - I started on green-slime Sirt diet then decided that it stank, I can't make them when I travel & that I need a lifestyle change , not a gimmick, so I switched to BSD & enrolled DH onto it too. So far I have lost 20lbs in total, DH has lost 12lbs, we are both looking different & will be buying new summer wardrobes at this rate!

Not2B - brilliant news that you are at your new lowest for 2 years Smile, well happy for you!!!

Obs2 - At least you felt bad after eating it, that is good, if that makes any sense....?

I have a challenge tomorrow, posh cocktail party at which only canapes will be served. No doubt I will drink too much, eat shite & feel like hell on Saturday, when we have a birthday do to go to in a restaurant, less worried about that as I can eat with the diet, ie fish, salad, veggies etc but any idea what I can do about the canapé bash....eating beforehand isn't a goer as I have other commitments.......HELP??!!!!

zobalina77 · 31/03/2016 11:02

And whoosh! 3 lb gone overnight. That makes my bmi less than 40 for the first time in 13 years!

welshbubba · 31/03/2016 12:25

Hi just popping in to say a quick hello! Well done zobalina! That amazing! I'm actually too scared to work out my bmi! Might do it once I've lost a decent amount so I can focus on the new number rather than the old!!
My carb flu or whatever it was only lasted a day. Day 11 of attempt 2 and have lost 3lb this week so heading the right way. Have promised myself some chocolate once I'm in the next stone bracket on the scales - 5lbs away! Hope I can last that long!!
