Well I only lost a pound this week, although that's 13lb in total at the halfway point. This morning i'd actually gained a pound so have spent the day drinking water with lemon and trying to flush some water out! By the time I weighed in at slimming at 3pm I was down again (still weighing weekly at slimming world as I've bought a 12 week countdown and still have 6 weeks left!). So not the most amazing weight loss, but I'm trying not to worry too much about the numbers because I know I've been good and on plan. Hopefully it will show next week. How much truth is there in the theory that you retain water after exercise? I feel 'watery' today and my muscles were sore after doing shred, especially as I'm so unused to exercise.

APlaceOnTheCouch · 27/04/2016 19:47

I've been hungry all day today too and am now craving chocolate. What does everyone else eat when they have a chocolate craving? I've got about 140 calories left.

clare8allthepies · 27/04/2016 19:55

Well I made my curry and the cauliflower pilau rice was ok, better than plain cauli rice (not much of a cauliflower lover). Full up though and 170 cals left over for a sneaky g&t Grin

Now to tackle the online shop then as I'm on my own a bit of Xbox time I think!

Sputnik · 27/04/2016 20:24

If I have a chocolate craving I eat chocolate. 1 small square (70% or over chocolate) = 40cals

I decided to have a week off, the kids are off school and it's harder for me without the usual routine. Trying to stick to TDEE though.

Hi everyone, just checking in. Found something interesting in M&S this evening as I was last home and couldn't be bothered to cook. Low carb ready meals! I'm going to try to attach pictures...

Ooh, Elvish they look nice. Did they taste nice?

Sputnik I never thought I'd say this but I am bored of the taste of dark chocolate. I'll probably be fine tomorrow . I'm just struggling today

Elvish · 27/04/2016 21:24

Just had the bolognaise one, a bit bland but for a fast meal under 250 cals can't complain. They had a curry with cauliflower rice as well.

APlaceOnTheCouch · 27/04/2016 21:41

I might try the curry one. I've just realised I haven't made a single curry since I started this plan. That's tomorrow night's dinner sorted.

yumyumpoppycat · 27/04/2016 21:44

I also had a big breakfast....have been hungry this eve too, maybe the thunderstorm has set of hunger signals Confused

I have the odd square of dark choc. Also have some leftover poundland foil wrapped christmas chocolates only weigh about a gram each so sometimes i have one or three of those. Better off eating nuts though.

Good find with the M&S meals! I don't usually eat ready meals but making 2 different dinners every night is getting a bit wearing!

Elvish · 27/04/2016 22:50

Hmmm chocolate.

If I really want some I've been having some, but not dark as we don't have any in the house and I think if I buy some specially I'm definitely going to eat it.

MarvellousCake · 28/04/2016 11:51

Clare what kinds of things are you cooking, and who are you cooking for? I'm managing most days to eat a modified version of the things that the rest of the family are having - mostly be just omitting the carb element. Then a couple of times I week I have something different. I thought it would be really difficult but I'm finding it much easier than I expected.

Chocrock · 12/05/2016 16:41

Can anyone tell me if I am supposed to 10,000 steps a day or 10,000 a week? And approximately how far / how much time is that?
TIA

APlaceOnTheCouch · 12/05/2016 16:54

chocrock we're all over here:

BSD Part3

10,000 steps a day. I've never actually timed it.

Chocrock · 13/05/2016 19:30

Thanks placeonthecouch. I will head over to part 3 and try to work out how long I have to walk to do 10,000 steps....
