Have just taken my little boy swimming and luckily tried my swimsuit on before I went. My usual suit (size 24) was too big! Would have had a rather embarrassing fallout in it. So I rummaged in the back of my drawers and found a size 20/22 that was too small and it fits! Even a little loose around the bottom.

It's given me hope that despite the scales not moving the last 2 weeks, am up and down the same couple of pounds, I must be losing inches. Just wish I'd measured myself at the beginning.

HanYOLO · 05/04/2016 16:01

Ah hah! found you again

Been offline and diet diet de-railed massively for past 10 days due to Easter trips, PMT and trying to fit two weeks work into 3 days. Hit the carbs. HArdly dare weight in. Not massively over TDEe and still eating less than before but going to start again 8 weeks in earnest tomorrow. What I have noticed is that I feel massively better NOT eating any sugar/bread etc, and also generally eating less. Other factors came into it but I've been tired, and grumpy and feeling sluggish. So I am looking forward to that lighter more optimistic mindset that seems to come with this WOE.

So, drawing a line under that and starting afresh.

Not2bObvious · 05/04/2016 16:51

Oops, had minor glitch in the form of a min bag of oreos (don't even like them!!! What's wrong with me😣) and some dark chocolate. And a little Easter egg😳 Work was a pain the ass, stop people doing stupid things. Got it sorted but it took its toll on my food behaviour. Now I'm craving an expresso martini (on a Tuesday, it's official I'm a lush)
Of course I don't have the ingredients and I'm not forking out for them either but a girl lush can dream. I think I've hit my 800 and I've not had my dinner. But then again I don't even want my planned dinner so maybe that's problem solved. Still have 4000 steps to do and no feeling like doing them. What a whingebag I am.
Hurrah on the dress H3l, sounds gorgeous. I love red, it's my signature colour. Bought a red coat at Christmas that I adore, always feel so glam in red

Yes, the Big Choc is Dr M Smile

H3l3naGraham · 05/04/2016 17:16

Hmm

H3l3naGraham · 05/04/2016 17:23

IT WORKED!!!!

Welcome back HanYolo - admire your resolve to start in earnest again, rock on!

Zobalina - hahaha!!! That would have been interesting........ it does go to show that it's about girth too, I seem to be dropping size without shifting zillions of lbs, perhaps there's something chemical going on inside us?

Not2B - Oreos....... Barf, barf, can't stand them, but if it had been Turkish Delight I would have wolfed the whole damned box, world shortage of Turkish Delight........ Look to me as the cause 1st...! But because I like it I have trained myself not to eat it, it's never in the house, I eat 2 cubes of 85% dark Choc instead & cheese, and wine and........ Well that was the past, a more considered future beckons....Wink

Sputnik · 05/04/2016 18:05

Big Choc is definitely not Dr M, she's female for a start!

Nice dress, and I bet by October you'll need a 12 Smile

H3l3naGraham · 05/04/2016 18:09

Oh my goodness, I really, really thought Big Choc was Dr M, really, really sorry. Am stupid sometimes Blush

Sputnik · 05/04/2016 18:12

She is very knowledgeable though!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 05/04/2016 19:21

Oh good! I felt really quite weirded out by the thought that BigChoc was Dr M - all those threads referring to him as a third party! Relieved to hear it's not true.

Obs2016 · 05/04/2016 20:33

Welcome back Han.
Love the red dress. God it's beautiful.
Ha ha. I did tease Choc and ask her if she was actually DrM Smile

Obs2016 · 05/04/2016 20:35

Laughing at Zob and her swimming costume. Good job she checked!'

Not2, I don't like Oreo's particularly, but the Oreo mini Easter eggs are to die for - smooth chocolate, inside Oreo filled. God they are good.
They were my downfall a few weeks ago.

Not2bObvious · 05/04/2016 20:47

Oreo's are total muck alright, well I rid the house of them so I'm safe now😁 Today ended up at 1250 cals after my minor binge - old days is be stuck into wine & crisps so can't complain too much. Laughing at bcf being mm, though at this stage she's probably done more research into 5:2, hats off to her. Hoping my sugar storm hasn't derailed me too much, but if the scales is up I'll know why

Mellowautumn · 05/04/2016 21:44

Thanks will check the M&S stuff - the 50g of carbs is great advice - was actually wondering how to judge stuff.
Had a crap/good day - walked virtually all day but had a sausage roll in the National Trust cafe as nothing else even vaugly suitable :( goingg to do a 24 hour water fast to make up for it as have an easish day at home tommorow

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 05/04/2016 22:05

774 calories today - wasn't nearly as hungry, thank god! And I do think the nutty beany hummus salad filled me up much more than my usual lc salads.

Do I need to drink uncomfortable levels of water? I've been told on Bootcamp to aim for 3 litres a day and I really struggle with that. I've had 2.25l today plus one coffee and one cup of tea. Will that do?

mootime · 05/04/2016 22:25

Well done tooextra. **

I may be wrong but I think bootcamp is entirely about LC as a method of weight loss and as such the water is used to flush out the negative sides of ketosis. As this is a more balanced LC method I think that 2l is what is recommended. **
**

I feel amazingly full this eve. Half a caulis worth of rice, with my daylesford tagine has completely filled me up. I had a bone broth at lunch and snuck a couple of chipolatas when I came in. I've come in at 754 cals with 40g carbs. So not bad for day 2.

ICJump · 05/04/2016 22:56

H3I3 I'm trying to steer clear of nuts because I tend to over eat them.

I had a cuppa soup which was lentil and veg and that helped. Hoping things get a bit easier soon.

H3l3naGraham · 05/04/2016 23:09

You all seem to be doing very well, doing adjustments & learning as you go, as we all are!

The water element is significant because, yes it flushes out your system, I am having a lot of it as herb tea, namely Golden Rod, a Swiss mix, helps cleanse & detox and boy, does my system need one of those after years of food-abuse.

Love nuts & they fill me up, but can easily see how a few could grow to be a handful - those Babybel small round cheese things are good too, just the one, nibbled at helps me if I get the afternoon munchies and the fat is, good, not bad.

My dinner was filling too, love salmon & cauli, will start day with scrambled eggs tomorrow as need to use them up along with half an avocado, will add some chilli & pretend we are going all Mexican!

ICJump · 05/04/2016 23:31

Oh I might pinch that breakfast idea. Sounds yummy

Not2bObvious · 06/04/2016 05:56

You've just reminded me H3l I bought avocado's, must think about what to eat them with. Used to spread a bit on multigrain toast & top with a poached egg - but that ship has sailed!
Drum roll pls...WI day...11.3.6! Down 4lb from last Wednesday day and starting week 3. 13lb gone since the 16th Feb. I'm beyond delighted, really given me a lift. I'm swearing by lots of water & my daily steps (as well as the low cals of course)
Just going to sit here with my black tea and smile awhile😁

Not2b that's really great. Well done!
Wed is also my weigh in day and I'm down 1lb from yesterday which puts be back pre blip and total of 11lb since I started.
I also measured and since my last measure I've lost another 1/2 inch from my waist, 1 from stomach and 1.5 from hips!

So something is happening!

Manic day at work today so will try and keep going until an early supper before a work meeting at 8pm.

Sputnik · 06/04/2016 07:45

Not2b Star!
I love nuts and they are full of great stuff but they're part of the reason I'm here now! I only have them now if I weigh them first, and usually with yogurt and low carb fruit as breakfast (eaten at lunch time). It makes a really filling combo.

Not2bObvious · 06/04/2016 08:26

Thanks guys, so close to the stone! And now only 1.5 stone from dream goal, instead of 2.5-3. I've misplaced my tape measure, which is code for the kids took it and now it's part of a Lego house somewhere in the mess😩 I have to think my waist has gone down as the size 6 jeans I bought (UK size 10 - and v generous 10 at that) just about fit without too much overspill but I need another 7 pounds I'd say for them to look really nice. Delighted I didn't buy the 8 (12) as they'd be no new jeans to look forward to. I've another pair of trousers I bought but they are very likely a real 10 and no stretch in them. It might be my goal
weight gear😁 2 weeks to go and the 5:2'ing the 800 for a couple of weeks, I hope it works so I can still lose 1lb a week - listen to me, I am
rather getting ahead of myself!
