Starting a new thread as we filled up the old one!

DC 17 is in 6th season with NYMT. Also former BYMTer.

These annual threads have been a source of advice, emotional support and camaraderie for those of us with young performers enjoying everything that these awesome organisations bring.

Only heard today. DC was originally cast in a New Musical workshop. Thanks for your kind words everyone x

There are some absolutely fab and lovely people in Fame they will have such an amazing time.

@Biscuitsneeded thanks for the advise. The dates clash with the week we have allocated for her to go on a trip with a group of girlfriends. That was so hard to arrange. I think this time, we will need to give it a miss.

Nothing on the musician audition yet but DD does have a New Musical workshop place in August.

Sorry to hear that @Advent0range, will she consider doing the course? It sounds like she has an exciting summer to look forward to.

I'll certainly consider the Manchester event. I'm quite relieved as I am already paying for a music school tour and NYWO residential, so an NYMT would have been a financial stretch.

I think the October thing is going to be great - first time they've run it. DC hoping she gets to do it too!!

Hope your Dd isn’t too disappointed. I said before my Ds got a no the first year he auditioned. He then went on to play in 4 shows.

NYMT were right though. He wouldn’t have been quite ready that first year.
