Physio exercises, 6 minutes on the stepper and a ten minute shoulder and neck yoga video I found.

I’ve returned to work and I’m so tired but I need to keep exercise snacking.

7k walk and 40 minute lower body workout today with weights and bands (which was a killer)! Might do some gentle yoga before bed.

Alittlefrustrated · 17/04/2026 22:32

70 x25m swim - took advantage of a quiet pool and a little extra time.

20m dance/exercise video today on YT. Keep on keeping on❤️

Skybluegreen · 18/04/2026 13:19

Another strength class at the gym today which makes it 4 this week. Along with 2 x 5k walks which I don’t count as exercise sessions for some reason. Rest day tomorrow as I’m out for a family meal but I’ll be back on it next week.

Pushed as hard as I could with the abductors and adductors on Thursday, on top of the Musical Theatre Fitness class. Yesterday, I was sore so only did Senior Flex.

One instructor is moving to a neighbouring leisure centre and was handing over yesterday. I think she might have been going extra hard....

I've skipped the gym today. My glutes were killing me earlier. Going to do a bit of gardening now...

stilldumdedumming · 18/04/2026 16:33

About an hours worth of upper body. Pleased to increase my weights a bit. Still weedy (and fat!)

It's satisfying when you can increase the weights.

stilldumdedumming · 18/04/2026 20:11

I’m pretty cautious because it takes me so long to heal from injury but it’s good when it feels like a solid lift.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 18/04/2026 20:23

Parkrun - 5k
20 min brisk walk x2
dumbbell workout - 45 mins
pilates - 30 mins

Comtesse · 18/04/2026 23:39

28mins of Lucy Wyndham Read videos then 4mins jumping around to a 90s banger including star jumps - haven’t done those for YEARS but pelvic floor holding up!

WearyAuldWumman · 19/04/2026 00:28

To my surprise, I managed some mini star jumps at Musical Theatre on Tuesday, but not Thursday - I could tell that the needs wouldn't manage.

FurForksSake · 19/04/2026 13:41

2.5 mile walk with quite a lot of ups and downs. That’s a lot for me!

5k walk
Yoga (30 mins)

Rest day today! I like to take it easy on a Sunday.

WearyAuldWumman · 19/04/2026 20:39

My legs are really, really sore today. That is all.

Comtesse · 19/04/2026 22:35

20m yoga, 23m dance HIIT, then 3m jumping around. Plus loads of vaccuuming then I was sanding down the neglected garden furniture … pretty active for a Sunday.
408 days - aiming for 500 now!

Had a bit of interruption to the routines with Easter holidays then going away.

Have managed to keep on with C25k somehow (with one week where I did a shockingly hilly Dorset run with a bit of walking, but stopped all my fitness disappearing).

A few wild swims and getting to the stage of the year where it actually feels like exercise - went twice round the Lake on Friday, have no idea how far that is but felt like I’d done something.

As I’m on week 8 of c25k I need to plan for what I want my weekly exercise routine to be post plan. I have always let my fitness drop off before when I’ve completed it which I really want to avoid this time!

Well done to everyone carrying on chipping away.

WearyAuldWumman · 20/04/2026 17:45

Senior Flex, 45 minutes: cardio, upper body weights, stretches, squats.
Gym: leg curls, leg extensions, fly.
Pilates, 45 minutes.

I asked ChatGPT for a training programme for my holiday to wales. I won’t be climbing the big hill, but I want to be fit for some long hilly walks.

it’s given me a programme that aligns well with my injuries and physio and I did that for the first time.

today was strength a
deadbugs
planks
glute bridges
standing calf raises
squats
step ups

8-10 of each and three rounds.

the cat took her life in her hands by weaving under me when doing a plank!

plan for tomorrow is a lunchtime walk and I have physio. I am also planning a few minutes of exercise bike time.

FurForksSake · 20/04/2026 19:26

The basic plan is two different strength sessions, a short walk, a long walk, a cycle session and a mini stepper session. Reps and adding weights for my strength sessions and adding distance to my walks each week.

55 mins pilates class. God, I hate classes where our legs are up in the air all the bloody time.

Sounds good FurForksSake. I like variety.

FurForksSake · 20/04/2026 21:47

Thanks @Alittlefrustrated it feels like not much, but my fake friend tells me the aim for me is for consistency that I can build on without flaring.

I love the idea of you scowling with your legs in the air 🫣🤣

7km brisk walk
30 min arm and core workout with dumbbells

Was supposed to go to yoga class this evening but got home from work later than planned and couldn’t face going out again 🤦‍♀️
