Only some walking today. 7,276 steps according to my phone. Tried to book appointment with osteopath but couldn't get through.

Muscle pull or whatever it is gets worse when I have to sit for a while (70 minute trip from Fife to Edinburgh and the same in reverse). Have used internal and external ibuprofen.

20 min spin class

Comtesse · 12/06/2026 10:56

Yesterday 15 tai chi in the morning then 10 min HIIT in the evening.

That’s 20 days now when I’ve done more than 20 mins each day - an extra 5 mins a day is 35 mins a week which has got to be worth something, right?

I love seeing the variety of what people are doing. What is shesensu @MummyInTheNecropolis ? Not heard of that before!

It’s one of my favourite classes, kind of like a mix between aerobics, yoga and Pilates. This is how it’s described on the website: “Shesensu is an energetic mindful movement flow. It's afun & effective mixed movement class for all abilities. Shesensu has elements of yoga, dance, cardio and primal moves all in one workout.”

WearyAuldWumman · 15/06/2026 20:43

Too scared to try Pilates or Body Balance at the moment. Have been trying gentle stretches at home. Scared to go onto the floor.

Went to the track and did my running homework: stretches, warm-up 6 X (90 seconds running followed by 120 seconds walking), stretches.

The 'running' might have been more of a waddle. 98

Ooof @WearyAuldWumman that sounds nasty - keep looking after yourself, don’t rush anything….

WearyAuldWumman · 15/06/2026 21:06

Thank you, @Comtesse . I'm annoyed at myself. Shall be taking things a bit easier.

stilldumdedumming · 17/06/2026 22:23

our gym classes are interrupted as the PT is injured.

Hamstring problem (if that's what it is) is still there, but not nearly as painful - though it gets worse if I sit still for a while.

Went to Run Club - up to 3 minutes for the runs now.

Afterwards in gym, did Run Club homework - arm exercises with 5kg weights.

Senior Flex, 45 minutes - stretches, cardio, upper body work with 3.75 weights, including 'Arnie' OHPs.

Active for Life - 15 minutes on bike, biceps curls with 7kg weights, shrugs and Farmer's Carry with two 18 kg kettlebells. Stretches in between.
