Anyone want to join me?
Yes I know it’s an oldie but I did it about 15 years ago and it was really effective.
I’ve just done day one and the weights and abs stuff weren’t too bad but the cardio nearly killed me, I’m more unfit than I realised.

L3D4 done. I’m regressing to Anita level more on this level and I’ve realised that Jillian’s motivational style about “this should be killing you and only a few more” is more likely to make me want to stop the set at that point rather than continuing - if she said nothing, I’d not be thinking about it as much. I like the overall effect of the exercise, I just think I’d like to edit bits of her dialogue out. I don’t even mind the terrible music 😀

Keep going everyone!

Fundays12 · 16/08/2025 12:09

Day 10 L1 done and out of the way. We are out tonight so no way was I doing it later. L2 tomorrow might be sheer hell with a hangover 😬

I think that would demotivate me a bit to

Iheartmysmart · 16/08/2025 12:28

@Saggyoldclothbody once I’d done each level a couple of times, I muted the tv and put on one of my playlists. Much more motivating than Jillian wanting me to die.

Happyhettie · 16/08/2025 16:26

Day 20 is done! I do not like Level 2 at all. Really hard going today and did not want to do it at all but I have done it.
Not having done it for a couple of years, I’d forgotten how much I like skaters! There’s something cheery about them (in my head anyway as I speed across the ice).

Level 3 is much nicer because there are no plank things of evilness or chair squats. 10 days to go and I’m done! Then I start again. 😃

Target - got to keep going at least 4 times a week once I’m back at work.

Then I might find myself doing mountain climbers from now till next Tuesday 😀

I like the countdown timer that Caroline Girvan uses.

Ha! Good point. I have to keep looking at the tv to make sure I’m keeping up.

Happyhettie · 17/08/2025 10:55

Level 3 day 1 completed. 9 days to go!

CortadoPlease · 17/08/2025 11:50

L3 day 5 done. Even managed jump squats with hands on hips rather than waving them round trying to stay balanced! Five more days …

Yes I mute her and put my most bouncy music on, it REALLY helps the time go fast as well as motivates.

Well I went out recently and wore a belt on
my waist which I don’t normally do as it highlights my lower bulge but it has disappeared mostly, I felt so good. thankyou Jillian you absolute beast 😂

Happyhettie · 18/08/2025 10:58

Level 3 Day 2 done. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and I can feel I’m fitter than I was which is the aim of the game.

8 days to go… (and then I start again 😃 and hopefully the heatwave will have done one which will definitely make it easier)

Iheartmysmart · 18/08/2025 11:39

I had to put a pair of shorts in the charity bag yesterday as they were too big around the waist! Not quite fitting into the next size down yet but not far off.

Would it be terribly ridiculous of me to say I’m missing my workouts and might start again soon…

Happyhettie · 18/08/2025 13:02

That’s amazing @Iheartmysmart ! What a lovely feeling 😃
Missing the workouts is understandable, they’re hard going but you feel much better when you’ve done them.

Iheartmysmart · 18/08/2025 13:21

Thanks @Happyhettie

I agree, and it’s the feeling of achievement once the workout is done. Think I will aim for a 30 minute walk each day this week then start shredding again next Monday.

Fundays12 · 18/08/2025 13:42

I decided to do burn fat boost metabolism today as I was pretty hungover tomorrow so didn't manage to workout. I may start l2 shred tonight if I am up to it. Burn fat boost metabolism tends to get the weight of me fast

Saggyoldclothbody · 18/08/2025 17:59

L3D4 complete. I am never going to manage rockstar jumps…

Fundays12 · 18/08/2025 21:10

IDareSay · 13/08/2025 09:35

L3 D10 done, I did it!! 💥

30 day shred complete Star

Forgot to steal my fan back so I am just a big pool of melted human now 😂

That's me taking at least a week off now, including a few days away. If anyone wonders if they can do this, I'm in my 60's, overweight, dodgy right shoulder, knackered left knee, one hip replaced and the other one due and I managed it, even getting up to Natalie's level for over half of it.

I'll measure tomorrow but I can see and feel the difference in my shape and my stamina.

Amazing well done.

Fundays12 · 18/08/2025 21:17

Well after being so hungover yesterday and missing a day (the first time) I decided today to make it up. I did burn fat boost your metabolism this morning which I actually really like but its tough and then L2 day 1 today. I dont hate L2 but its certainly not as good as L1.

Awesome! If you weigh in after finishing then don’t be disappointed, just give your body chance to get rid of the water retention from repairing the muscles and you’ll see better results of all your hard work, like I say mine comes after a few weeks. I let my weight stabilise at the lower weight and then do another round. You’ll smash it ♥️

I am so glad you told me this. I jumped on the scales this morning and have put on 2 pounds so could have cried then I remembered you advice and went to measure myself. I have lost 6 inches so far and am only on day 12. I have cut back massively on junk etc to but I am hoping to see it on the scales in a few weeks.

User456778976546 · 19/08/2025 08:14

I did this 11 years ago and it was horrible but effective! I lost inches really quickly but it was so painful to start off with. It also played havoc with my knees and wrists. My pelvic floor couldn’t cope with the jumping about.

Having said this, I really want to start again as it actually worked and I felt amazing once I’d stopped aching and could sit down without groaning.

The problem this time is that the only place I can do it is our bedroom as there’s not enough space anywhere else. My husband now WFH in the room underneath and I’ll feel so embarrassed about him hearing me jumping around. I need to get over this!

Happyhettie · 19/08/2025 11:40

Level 3 day 3 completed. I definitely phoned it in this morning but I still did it.
I stupidly didn’t measure myself before I started but I know some of my clothes fit me better. And I am starting to see my collarbones again. Arse is still fat though. 😆

@User456778976546 WFH is a real pain. My DH is the same. So much easier when he had to go to the office!

Brilliant! 🤩
Yes when I first did it I lost a few lbs after the first few days as think I shocked my body with the rare exercise haha. After a few weeks of workouts I weighed again and I’d put on 7lbs! But was working so hard.. I thought what a waste of time. So I read about it and asked for advice and learnt that the muscles store water while they are repairing, and that’s all over your body. Plus muscles growing and adding weight. Plus your blood increases in volume too.
After a few weeks all effects disappear and you are left with the more defined shape and weight loss ♥️

Can I ask why you feel embarrassed about your husband seeing or hearing you? I’ve read this a few times from different people and wonder why, it’s your best friend who you have sex with and has seen you at all kinds of angles 🤣 plus he should be proud of you and what you’re doing.

Your arse will reshape, give it time 🍑 My arse always goes flat as I lose weight but now it’s got smaller but curvier. I love you Jillian 😂

Fundays12 · 19/08/2025 21:56

L2 day 2 completed. Lol I better be looking toned soon given how many burpees are in it.
