The day 43 is my preferred glute session because I much prefer deadlift squats to hip thrusts!
I am feeling ready to get properly back into it tomorrow with her new programme. Well that does depend what the new prog will contain of course.
If I don’t like it I will go back to doing heat.

Thanks @SophieLion I did the iron series day one in the end just using what I had for weight. This was probably only 3kg each and didn't challenge me for squats but it did somewhat for the lunges. It's the first time I follow a live program and I'm a beginner so I'm happy.

Did endgame 49 today. Only one more day to go!! (My excitement is somewhat marred by the fact that I know tomorrow's finisher is 100 burpees....)

Hello all - haven't checked in for a bit, as have been doing random workouts waiting for husband to join in (he's had COVID and been a bit weary). Back on it today (day 27 legs). Enjoyed the combat hiit day 25 though!

Yes I really enjoyed day 25 too fishonabicycle.

Just done day 50 today so that's endgame finished (finally - I had a lot of starts and stops). Finisher was 100 chest to floor burpees. Was tough and didn't think I would get through them. Had to do In Sets of 10 and took me ages.

Did day one of the iron series yesterday. I enjoyed it: it was a sweaty one but also slow moving with seemed confusing!
My first leg day since covid. Later in the afternoon I did heat day one legs too- not sure why.
I am collecting another set of adjustables from Argos later. I need to up my weights. Today’s iron series uses three sets of weights so I need 2 sets of adjustables.
I have also ordered some wrist straps to help up the weight on leg days. I can cope with the heavier weights but my hand gets tired before my legs do. They are supposed to help.

@SophieLion well done on finishing endgame. Covid got me at day 50. I haven’t attempted it though as I am still working my way back up to full cardio and muscle strength.
My mum will die within the next few days so my life is in turmoil and my sleep is very bad- which doesn’t help much.

So sorry to hear you’re going through such a upsetting time, we lost my MIL after a battle with cancer last summer and it was such a tough long drawn out time. I started with CG shortly after as exercise is a good distraction
I completed day 44 endgame this morning after avoiding it last night. It was really tough for me with 5kg weights. It also felt different as I had 12 inches of hair cut off at the weekend for the little princess trust so no annoying hair in my face for push-ups etc. Hoping to fit in a couple more of endgame before hols and then finish moving onto heat afterwards. I might jump to iron series but I think I need more cardio at this point. There’s also a big jump up in price for heavier weights!

Wow 12 inches is so much. It musta feel odd and Lino at the same time. A very worthy thing to do though!
Oddly iron series is pretty cardio based. I think because she is going heavy and is encouraging us to up our weights. My heart rate was really raised for most of yesterday’s session. Much more than it was with endgame.
I collected another pair of 20kg from Argos this morning and am going to attempt 12kg for the chest presses and 7kg for the flyes now that I will have 2 sets of heavier weights. She is using 17 and 10- no way Jose!!

Day 2 upper body was so tough for me. I upped my weights by only 1kg each so 11s and 6s. I had to take lots of breaks. I found the three minute sets really hard and my muscles are aching. I was hoping I could have gone heavier. How on earth CG can chest press 17kg and make it look so effortless is beyond me. I could barely get the 11kg dumbbells into position! She was shoulder pressing with 10kg. I think this is going to be a 'beef you up' programme for sure.Shock.
I might finally get off my weights plateau though.

@SophieLion I did enjoy it thanks. I had done beginner a few times and I was half way through Heat so it's not a lot different. I have joint instability so strength training is what I need to improve my subluxing and pain issues.

I did day 2 and 3 back home but I'm nearly but not quite, at half the weight used on screen. Improving all the time though.

If this has been a progression from endgame it would have been too much for me so I am glad to be able to participate.

I faced my day 45 EMOM fear today and won, well survived it 😂 I got through the first set ok but there was A LOT of reduced sets thereafter. I’m ok with that as I was thoroughly exhausted throughout and just ploughed through the last few minutes. One week to go!

Day four iron series for me today.
This series is deffo a real muscle building one. She has upped her weights so I have too!
My mum died on Wednesday morning.
I am relieved that her suffering has ended but now begins the process of grief. I can’t take it in at all .

I'm so sorry bigbuttons. It took me about 3 or 4 weeks to get over the shock (but then it was unexpected for us). Even now I can't glide E it has happened. Sending you strength to get through this.

Hello everyone🙂
I am ‘enjoying’ iron series. Yesterday was quads and I used the heaviest weights I have ever held:14kg. I found it so hard to actually hold them so I used my wrist straps which helped but I am not great at getting them in place!
Today my bum is mega sore even though it was w quad work out. Lifting heavier is punishing but a real game changer. Yesterday was lunges and squats at a slow pace but I was dripping in sweat.
I can also see a change in my muscles. This is powerful programme for accelerating muscle growth. I have become leaner but more muscular- which is great. During endgame I just seemed to get bigger and fatter!😂😂

Sounds great @BigButtons, I might give it a try when I get back. I did another 10min abs yesterday and having a rest today before maybe a cardio tomorrow.
