It's much easier when you do it regularly, Oubliette. And I'm normally in your dd's camp...right now I have three wool jumpers on me and the heating is on Blush

Ha ha oubliette ! When teenagers want to wear more clothes (or even a coat!) then you know it's cold!!

Bet carrying Christmas trees was a good workout MotherForkin!

They've announced our schools most likely closed until after Christmas now Angry don't understand how uk schools are open with such high cases but you're lucky.

Was planning to do HIIT today but my muscles were tired and sore so did a yoga practice. Was still tough - a lot on the arms as was a lot of build up and practice forearm headstand.

Oh @SophieLion - that’s terrible. Having the schools open made such a difference to the recent lockdown. My teenagers are much happier. Even my son’s boarding school is managing to operate as normal (they’ve had zero Covid cases amongst the boarders - and only one that I’m aware of in the school).

My workplace are being much more cautious. I haven’t been into the office since 13 March. It’s definitely not open again before Spring. And now it looks like they’re going to use the site as a vaccination hub (we have lots of parking and freezer capacity - including -80C freezers, so it does make sense). Which I suspect means I could be at home for another 6 months Shock

Oh no Sophie that's rubbish Sad - as Oubliette said it has made all the difference that the DCs are at school this time around, even though my DS is complaining about going in every day, I know he would have been bored stiff being at home again. Their school has had numerous positives, but they are still open. I feel for you. We have been back in the office on a very part time basis (one day per week) since May and i can foresee them wanting to up that after Christmas. Not sure how that will impact my exercising; I suspect not in a good way Confused

My sympathies Sophie for all of you. Flowers As hard as juggling everything at home is, it's also hard for the children to be away from their friends and routine. What ages are they? I hope the lockdown works. We are being warned of expected spikes in the run up to Christmas and mutterings of another's lockdown in January, just when we'll all be completely miserable anyway! Dh has been told he'll be home til probably March. They have to get a senior level sign off and make a case to go into the office these days (tech company so occasionally necessary). I've worked from home for years and I miss my solitude! I'm really looking forward to a good break over Christmas though, it's been such a long, tough year.

I had a swim (I can't believe what a sanity saver it's become) and a run today.

Hi! Can I join?

I've upped my exercising during the second lockdown and would like to do the same in December 😁

I aim to do 5 home workouts a week and maybe add one stretching/mobility session.

It was supposed to be abs today but somehow it didn't happen.
Instead I did a tabata this morning and just finished a cardio boxing workout.

Would like to reach a total of 1000 min workout for December.

Thank you everyone. You're such a lovely bunch Thanks I have 2 teenagers and one younger in primary school. And yes the first week when primary school was still open made a huge difference to lock down.

To be honest my Children seem pretty ok. It's funny as school and the school counsellors often send round emails with info about how to help your child cope etc and I've often asked them if they need anything but they seem fine - thank goodness. They like getting up Later. One DD does all her classes from
Her bed!!! They follow the school day online and then I make sure they all exercise and we spend time playing games. They also talk to their friends and play virtual games with them A LOT via FaceTime etc. DH also works from home.

Hello Pirisprinkles and welcome to the thread Smile

Extreme shed and shred L2 today.

Hello Pirisprinkles.

Glad the dc are getting through it, Sophie, I hope you do too.

I had my PT session this morning and then school run sprints. I decided a weather forecast of snow showers was a good reason not to have a sea swim today ❄️

Ri30 L4D6 and 6W6P L2 (60 min). Quite impressed with myself for doing some exercise even though I was feeling tired. It would’ve been so easy to take a rest day.

(231/19; 231h 25min)

I’m hoping we might get snow @MotherForkinShirtBalls - all we’ve had today is endless rain.

Thanks for the welcome!

Abs session today, found the exercises quite challenging as I'm not used to them (hollow hold, slider knee tuck)

Well done OublietteBravo!

This week so far;
A walk with a friend (4.75mi) I love the crop feature on Strava as I forgot to stop my watch before driving home a junction down the motorway Grin
2 mile run
Back to my outdoor class in a barn, filled a spare slot.
Outdoor class in a park zoomed due to grotty weather. Forced myself out for a 1.7 mi run.

Through advent, I'd like to get outside each day and do little and often. I've got RED January, and it's probably good to build up in December then have a rest over Christmas.

Welcome @Pirisprinkles 😃 you sound like you are going for it!

Ooh snow would be great, but we have had the same weather as Oubliette.

No Shred today, giving my knee a rest. Did 4 mile boosted walk with Leslie instead.

Snow is lovely MotherForkin! (Unless it means school is closed Grin). We have torrential rain today.

Do you follow anyone for your abs exercises (you tube?) Pirisprinkle or do it on your own?

Well done for not phoning it in (as JM would say) Oub!

Hope knee is on Roonetta.

One hour yoga flow practice for me today.

No snow in the end, but icy rain and biting wind. Definitely no swimming today! Actually, not much of anything after a bad night's sleep, so I'm going to ease myself into the weekend with a rest day.

Happy Friday everyone.

Hi Roonetta! Are you doing the 30 day shred? I still remember those rockstar jumps...

SophieLion, I'm following Decathlon France on Instagram, there are plenty of workouts.
I plan to do Emi's sessions from the last lockdown, I quite like the idea of five different workouts per week (cardio, legs, abs, full body and a hiit)
www.instagram.com/decathlon/channel/

Full body workout today.

Nice tree Oubliette 🌲

Hill run this morning in a gap between weather warnings. I drove down to the beach car park but the waves were breaking taller than me, so I decided not to risk it. Even though it looked like brilliant fun.

Knee is better thanks Sophie. I suspect the culprit were the rock star jumps you mention Piri 😖. Thanks for posting the Instagram link, I am going to have a proper look at these workouts later 👍🏻!

Gorgeous tree Oubliette. We put ours up today, yay!

Sounds like a good call missing out the sea swim MotherForkin - I suspect you may have turned blue if you’d gone in 🥶
