W1R2 complete!

vjg13 · 05/01/2019 13:43

Ooh, can I join?! Just finished week 3. Aim is improving general fitness and feeling more positive in general. Am doing it on a treadmill.

Beerflavourednipples · 06/01/2019 17:03

Can I join please? I got to week 5 run 1 before Xmas and then had a cold, Xmas etc so repeated it yesterday and it was ok. I'm really dreading the 20 min run coming up!

Does anyone else live in a hilly area? I would have to drive somewhere really to get a flat run, but I feel like as the runs are getting longer the thought of schlepping it up a big hill is quite demotivating?

MrsSpidey · 09/01/2019 08:16

Just completed W2R1.

Normally I'd lie in bed til the last possible second so I was proud I woke up 1.5 hours early to fit in a run and a shower etc!

Think I'm going to need a break 😩

My foot began hurting on my Friday run and has gradually got worse. When I put weight on it the top/side is in a lot of pain.

I'm feeling really annoyed as I've never been so motivated in my life to get fit!

Hi all, I’d like to join if I can please! I’ve just started C25K although have started with week 4 as that looked manageable as a starting point. Motivation is to help lose some baby weight (DD is 7 weeks) and improve fitness (or get fit, there isn’t much existing fitness to improve upon Grin). DH is a very keen runner and I want the DC to see that being fit and strong isn’t just for Daddy.

I’ve completed the W4 run three times since Friday and found it ok. Will try to do it one more time this week and then start the W5 runs this Friday. Nervous about the 20 minute run although did Junior Parkrun with DS1 on Saturday and actually managed to keep jogging for the whole 2k (15 mins) which I never thought I’d do. Was super proud of myself keeping up with all the 6 and 7 year olds Grin.

Well done everyone

Just finished W2R3, wasn't too bad. Planning to start W3 on Tuesday...slightly concerned at the 3 minute run but we'll see🤷‍♀️

BrigitsBigKnickers · 20/01/2019 10:32

Can I join too?
I did week 3 run 2 yesterday and am amazed at how quickly my fitness levels have improved.

Unfortunately I am hyper mobile and have bad knees so am doing the programme on my cross trainer. But it seems to be working. In the first week a 1 min run killed me and now onto 3 mins with ease.

I do the walks in a lower setting and then the runs on a higher resistance which I have moved up a little as the runs got easier.

I am using the NHS app and have Sarah Millican's voice urging me on which I find strangely motivating!

Violetroselily · 20/01/2019 12:27

I switched from Sarah Millican to Michael Johnson, I find him a bit more motivational

vjg13 · 20/01/2019 13:52

Jo Whiley fan hereSmile

Fiddie · 20/01/2019 22:34

Hello, I've just found this thread. I did wk2 r3 today and found it quite hard.

Not sure how I'll do three minutes. I've just swapped to Michael Johnson from Jo Whiley (who l really liked but fancied a change)

I made a mistake in the first week and tried Sarah millican. Didn't find her encouraging at all!

MrsSpidey · 22/01/2019 07:35

I actually found "Laura" to be my favourite! I'm stuck at the beginning of week 4 as I've torn a tendon in my foot.

Desperate to get back into it as I was feeling very motivated!

dementedma · 26/01/2019 21:49

w4r2 done today. one more to go then week 5 where I have to run for 20 minutes??? seriously? that's quite a step up. I like Jo Whiley best, but also Sarah Millican and Michael Johnstone.
