I plan the routes on mapmyrun.com before I go out, and tend to run in one direction for x miles and then just turn around. Still managed to get lost coming back though, as turned too early on the grid system so my last mile is a bit slow!
NYC Barry's was fun but I think the London instructors a bit more hardcore at the shouting part, and the changing rooms were tiny!
Was a work thing. Am back in the swing of work now but I do feel like i am treading water a little bit until I go back to London in August.
Well done on everyone's work outs, especially your 2.5 marathon Jackster that is impressive! Think you are mad to do home schooling - would drive me insane. I love the little blighters but I pray for the school holidays to finish every time (they are back tomorrow after 2 weeks off.. gnashes teeth).
So now that 2 x ski holidays and 1 x work conference is over, I am back to sticking to the schedule religiously until the actual marathon - 5 weeks today! I have my hardest week next week: a 5m, 10m and 20m run, as well as P90X Legs and Back, various Insanities and a couple of Ab rippers. Am strangely looking forward to the 20 mile run, as I ran so easily in the US that I am hoping I can sustain that speed for 20 miles to get an idea of how I will fare in the actual marathon.
Need to tighten up what I eat though - have piled on some kg with the ski holidays and work conference food/after work drinks. In fact I announced to DH today that I would go alcohol free until after the marathon - think I might regret that impromptu promise!
