Anyone want to join an Octoberthon thread?

Run, swim, or do some other form of exercise every day during October and then post about it.

Inspired by the increasingly inaccurately named Juneathon thread

(Juneathon rules)

I'm not actually planning on exercising every day - I'll be having 1-2 rest days each week.

I managed a brisk 30 min walk today! Not much, but it's a re,re,re start!

Hi Kanyes - I hope your DS is feeling better. A brisk walk sounds like a good start (I half expected you to jump straight back into boot camp).

Today I managed NMTZ. Tomorrow I'm juggling a pantomime trip (DS) and a carol concert (DD), so I'm not sure I'll fit anything in...

I'd have loved to go to boot camp, but I had to be on a bus at 7.30 this morning, so that wasn't happening! Hopefully it'll be ds's last day at home tomorrow and I'll be able to do something energetic later in the week Smile

Enjoy your festive merrymaking!

Still KBFFing but dropped down to 1 x 20 min session per day this week due to manic work schedule.
Hope you're all getting better Kanyes and you enjoy all the DCs events Harry!

I managed to fit in some exercise after all. I had a first attempt at Ri30 L4 (very much learning the moves, so not working at full capacity), and then did 6W6P L1D13.

I've just done Ri30 L4D2 & 6W6P L2D13. I think I prefer level 4 of Ri30 to level 3 - possibly because a lot of the strength moves involve abs which I've been working on for several months

Tonight I did NMTZ. I'm not going to be around for a couple of days. I'm heading north to visit my sisters this weekend, and then I have my work Christmas party on Monday.

I went out in lashing rain for a half hour jog. Got some unexpected fartlek training with all the asshats drivers who didn't want to bother avoiding the massive puddles. Home to a hot shower and a mince pie made it worth it Grin

Hope you have a lovely few days, Harry.

5km this evening, as it wasn't raining. A little bit faster than I've managed recently which is good too.

Boot camp tonight...I don't think I'll be able to move tomorrow! A surprise visit from the in laws meant I couldn't run there and back, which I strangely missed. can't believe I've become that sort of person!

Dh got home early do I managed to get out for 30mins. It was tough going in the cold drizzle nothing to do with last night's Baileys but at least it's done! Have to paint ds's bedroom tonight, but I think I'll have a sit down first Brew

Wow Kanyes - you certainly picked up the baton.

I really wasn't keen to jump back in after 3 days off and several glasses of Wine last night but I somehow found the motivation:

Ri30 L4D3 & 6W6P L1D14

I think I might ache tomorrow.

I feel imbued with the power of the baton Wink boot camp this morning was a weights class, my legs are in bits! Second coat of paint to go on ds's bedroom walls tonight too.

Hope you're not sore today, Harry. Did you have a good weekend?

My weekend was very enjoyable apart from the endless rain. Spending Sunday with a stroppy almost-3-year-old made me very glad I'm past that stage (DD is 11 and DS is 9).

This evening I did NMTZ. I'm quite proud of that given I took DS to Pizza Express beforehand. I'm fairly sure I wouldn't have survived Ri30 L4 & 6W6P L3

Just found this thread. I've been doing the same for two weeks now. What does Ri30 L4D3 & 6W6P L1D14 mean?

Report
HarryLimeFoxtrot · 16/12/2015 22:07

They are abbreviations for various Jillian Michaels DVDs:
Ri30 = Ripped in 30
6W6P = 6 week six-pack
(NMTZ = No More Trouble Zone)
L = level
D = day

OK - back on it properly this evening:

Ri30 L4D4 & 6W6P L2D14

I think I'm still on track to finish both before Christmas Xmas Smile

How are you feeling after boot camp and painting Kanyes?

Thanks. Id like to start some exercise DVD's after Xmas.

I'm on day 16. Ran 6 miles through woodland (with two friends) at 6.30am!

I took a rest day today, Harry! I only got 4 hours' sleep for the third bloody night this week and I had to move beds between my house and my mum's, so I just couldn't face anything this evening. Other than tiredness though, I'm surprisingly not sore. How did you find Gillian this evening?

Wow, Domino 6 miles at that hour of the morning is good going! Do you run much?

I finished my week off with Ri30 L4D5 & 6W6P L1D15.

I'm almost there - 3 more sessions and I'll have completed Ri30.

Kan. I run about 4 or 5 times a week but need to vary things more. I generally do it before the sun rises.

Wow Domino - I'm impressed (I'm not good with getting up early to exercise or exercising outside).

Rest day yesterday. Today I've done Ri30 L4D6 and 6W6P L2D15.

Hope you're enjoying the burn, Harry Grin

I missed Friday as morning bootcamp was cancelled and I was caught up all evening. I planned a run yesterday but fell asleep instead Blush I managed a 30 min run this evening. I'm getting better at holding my core when I'm running and bloody hell it makes a difference. I wore a skirt today that I bought a year ago but it has been too tight up to now so I was delighted.

Domino, fair play to you getting out early so much. I have done phases of early morning runs and it's great, but then the kids stop sleeping and I can't drag myself out of bed early enough!

Got to boot camp this morning as dh is now on hols so was at home with DS. The sesdion was reasonably tame since it's Christmas week -- a short hiit session followed by planks. Just been for a bracing walk (me), scoot (DD) and bike (DS) for a half hour before it rains and I held in my core for as much of it as I remembered to. Now I'm not sure if I'm hungry or have ab-ache Confused
