Anyone want to join an Octoberthon thread?

Run, swim, or do some other form of exercise every day during October and then post about it.

Inspired by the increasingly inaccurately named Juneathon thread

(Juneathon rules)

I'm not actually planning on exercising every day - I'll be having 1-2 rest days each week.

Just started the new thread so see you over there!

Yes, I think it could be time for a new thread - October was quite a long time ago. Smile

I was hoping to have a reasonably quiet evening and exercise first thing tomorrow. However, DH has just invited friends round this evening, so that obviously isn't happening.

(Actually now I think about it, I took a break for another week when my parents visited and occupied my front room more or less permanently).

So glad to hear you're only human too, Oubliette! Xmas Wink

I got out for a half hour run at lunchtime. It's gone so cold here and windy, but at least it's stopped raining for a bit.

I've had a lot more breaks than you have, Oubliette, but I'm definitely feeling the benefit of it too. Will I start a new thread tomorrow for the new year?

Anyway, have a lovely evening, and all the best for a great 2016 Wine

OK, so I never got round to exercising yesterday Blush

Today I've done NMTZ, so I'm feeling less lazy.

I can't believe tomorrow is January. That means I've been diligently working out for 7 months (well, except for 3 weeks of holiday). I definitely don't need regular exercise to be my 2016 New Years resolution.

I think we'll escape the worst of Storm Frank here (East Anglia). It is quite breezy, but no rain yet.

I had a rest day yesterday. I'm planning on doing some exercise this evening. My knee is feeling a little odd, so I'm waiting until DH is at home before I attempt anything - at least that way there will be someone to pick me up off the floor laugh at my discomfort if I damage myself. I'll certainly be picking a low-impact circuit.

KanyesVest · 30/12/2015 14:26

Storm frank has hit here with a vengeance so I didn't get out running last night (back too late from in laws the night before). It was dry this morning even though it was very windy, so I ran to boot camp. I chickened out and blagged a lift home though Blush

I decided to have a change today. I did 30DS L1D1 & 6W6P L1D1. I could certainly tell that my recent circuits had been light on cardio.

I wondered if it was you! Smile I'm at the in laws today and tonight, so won't risk running on very dark rural roads. Hopefully we'll get home tomorrow early enough for a run.

Sorry Kanyes - I forgot to point out my name change yesterday (I've reverted to my former MN name - but I was previously HarryLimeFoxtrot on here).

I managed to treat today as a normal Sunday. I got up and got my exercise session over and done with. I did NMTZ (but I think I need a more exciting schedule soon, because I'm already bored).

I weirdly understand, Oubliette - I went out for a 35min run this evening and definitely feel better for it. Unfortunately, I did eat my body weight yesterday, so I was fairly plodding Xmas Blush

It was nice to have a couple of days off for Christmas, but today I felt the need to be a bit more active. So this morning I did NMTZ.

Happy Christmas to you too! Hope it's lovely for everyone.

I got in a short run this evening. It was about 3 degrees so I had 5 layers on me but it wasn't too bad.

I'm going to try to keep up a bit next week, so I'll drop in if I manage anything more strenuous than sorting through the chocolates Grin

DH is on holiday this week, so he is dealing with childcare and Christmas preparations. I've still got one more day at work (and quite a bit to finish off).

This evening I've done NMTZ. I'm quite enjoying this set of circuits - it had a nice balance between upper and lower body and core/abs (although it does lack cardio).

I'm not sure I'll fit any exercise in tomorrow, so il wish you a very merry Christmas Xmas Smile

Well done, Harry. I ended up minding dd's bestie yesterday as her mum has pneumonia, so I didn't manage to get out for a run before my Christmas night out. I was too hungover for boot camp this morning, so I'm heading this evening. I'll hopefully get out for a run in the morning, then it's feet and glass up for me!

I decided to bite the bullet and finish off Ri30 (L4D8) and 6W6P (L2D16). Xmas Smile

I'm planning on doing another session tomorrow and then having a few days off for Christmas.

I can certainly empathise with the possible ab-ache Kanyes. It sounds like you've had a busy day.

I've just done Ri30 L4D7 & 6W6P L1D16. One more session to go to complete them both - should manage that this side of Christmas.

I suppose I need to start thinking about which circuits to work through in the new year. My plan is to do a bit of NMTZ in between Christmas and New Year whilst I think about it.

Got to boot camp this morning as dh is now on hols so was at home with DS. The sesdion was reasonably tame since it's Christmas week -- a short hiit session followed by planks. Just been for a bracing walk (me), scoot (DD) and bike (DS) for a half hour before it rains and I held in my core for as much of it as I remembered to. Now I'm not sure if I'm hungry or have ab-ache Confused

Hope you're enjoying the burn, Harry Grin

I missed Friday as morning bootcamp was cancelled and I was caught up all evening. I planned a run yesterday but fell asleep instead Blush I managed a 30 min run this evening. I'm getting better at holding my core when I'm running and bloody hell it makes a difference. I wore a skirt today that I bought a year ago but it has been too tight up to now so I was delighted.

Domino, fair play to you getting out early so much. I have done phases of early morning runs and it's great, but then the kids stop sleeping and I can't drag myself out of bed early enough!

Rest day yesterday. Today I've done Ri30 L4D6 and 6W6P L2D15.

I took a rest day today, Harry! I only got 4 hours' sleep for the third bloody night this week and I had to move beds between my house and my mum's, so I just couldn't face anything this evening. Other than tiredness though, I'm surprisingly not sore. How did you find Gillian this evening?

Wow, Domino 6 miles at that hour of the morning is good going! Do you run much?

Thanks. Id like to start some exercise DVD's after Xmas.

I'm on day 16. Ran 6 miles through woodland (with two friends) at 6.30am!

OK - back on it properly this evening:

Ri30 L4D4 & 6W6P L2D14

I think I'm still on track to finish both before Christmas Xmas Smile

How are you feeling after boot camp and painting Kanyes?
